Payout Rejected Based on Rule Not in Signed Contract

On July 30th, my payout request with FundedX was rejected and my account was breached for allegedly violating Point 4 of my contract.

The contract I signed states: “Opening and closing trades in a very short time frame (less than 15 seconds).”
My trading records show that all trades were held far longer than 15 seconds.

The firm later claimed this rule also covers “re-entering trades” within 15 seconds — wording that does not appear in the contract I signed. Official Discord screenshots show this expanded interpretation was communicated after my trades took place.

I have contacted the firm multiple times with evidence and formal dispute emails, but they have not responded.

This review is based on documented facts, and all evidence is available upon request.

Hello Tias,

Every trader with FundedX signs a contract before receiving a funded account. It is the trader’s full responsibility to read that contract in detail and ensure they are fully aware of all rules and how they are enforced.

The claim that this policy was “added” after your trades is inaccurate. The clarification you reference simply restates how the rule has always been enforced in practice.

Your trading activity was reviewed thoroughly and found to be in breach of Point 4. As per the signed agreement, this is violation of rules. These are basic risk management skills that will impact your ability to manage capital within our firm.

We uphold our policies and stand by our transparency.

I am an older trader

I am an older trader, been around a while. Got a few payouts with them, no issues at first. But on my third, they claimed I broke a rule way back in Phase 2, after already funding the account and approving the payout. Then they denied the money. Still sent me a certificate and welcome email. That's just wrong. Wasted my time. I expected better. Now I know better.

I don't have time for stress, that's why I'm locked in on FIFTH &. heaven. They've always been straight with me. When I asked for my money, they didn't delay or make excuses.

9k payout denied!

9k payout denied!! They do everything to manipulate their rules!
I got breached and denied my 9k payout for a Tick Scalping rule opening and closing a position in less than 15second! My average trade hold time is 2hrs and non of my trades were less than 15sec!

Their excuse is that I re-entered the trade after 15seconds. Non of the rules states that a position could not be RE-ENTERED AFTER 15 seconds!!

I wouldn't even write this review if THEIR RISK DEPARMENT WOULDN'T IGNORE ME AND REPLIED TO MY EMAILS!!!!
No profesionalism from their side!

And dont fall for their Replies in this comments telling others that there were breach of rules. If I would breach any of the rules I would be quite but I will not tolerate some scammy account closures!
Waste of money and time in a prop firm that cant handle a couple of a grand in a payout!!

Your payout was denied due to a confirmed breach of rule, which is in place to maintain fair trading practices across all accounts. While your average trade time may be longer, our system flagged specific trades that violated the policy.

Our risk team reviews all breaches with clear evidence and follows a strict protocol. No account is denied a payout without cause. Thousands of traders are paid out regularly — only those in violation of the rules are denied.

Unclear rules and unprofessional practices

This firm breached traders account for rules that are not clear on the contract. Many traders got breached due to a the "opening and closing within 15s in quick succession rule". A lot of traders held their trades for hours and their accounts got breached because most of them re-entered 1 trade within 15s after closing the previous one. That was classified as tick scalping to the risk team. What a Joke...... The risk team and the discord customer representative are not here to help but to ignore people who was appealing and ofc remove them from discord

We operate with a clear and deliberate risk framework designed to protect the integrity of our program. The rule regarding rapid entry and exit of trades is not new, nor is it hidden. It’s part of the guidelines each trader agrees to before starting, and it exists for good reason: to ensure fair, sustainable trading practices.

Re-entering trades within seconds in a repeated pattern, regardless of how long some positions are held, can trigger this violation. This isn’t about catching people out — it’s about enforcing consistency in risk management and trade behaviour.

Deceptive business

Deceptive contract.
I passed the account and read the contract - I was permitted to risk only 1% of the account.

I ended up losing more than 1% in a trade due to slippage but i understood that, I requested a payout and was GRANTED it. A moderator in their discord clarified to me that there was a 0.25% buffer for those who risked less than <1% for their trades, so since I was approved my payout - i was given that 0.25% buffer - Next account was given.

I received a second account, I was clarified that this one was subjected to the initial contract given to me so I assumed that I was given a 0.25% buffer. I reach my second payout with the firm but apparently it was breached.
I asked why and it turns out I exceeded the 1% Risk. I was confused as it was still within the 0.25% buffer but nope - since I requested more money, they rejected it.

I loved the firm but they genuinely lack clarity and genuineness. Dont bother with the firm - they're not worth the hassle. Very deceptive.

We maintain strict and consistent enforcement of our rules to ensure fairness across the board. There’s nothing deceptive about expecting traders to operate within the limits they agreed to — and that’s exactly what we continue to uphold.

Our goal is consistency, fairness, and a clear structure that supports long-term, risk-aware & disciplined traders.

FundedX Is a Straight-Up Scam

FundedX is nothing but a scam prop firm pretending to be legit. I passed their challenge fair and square and was owed a $3,500 USD payout. Instead, they accused me of breaking their “15-second scalping” rule.

I immediately sent them cold hard proof showing my trades were held for over 25 minutes — clearly within their rules. So what did they do? They changed the excuse to “you closed trades too close together.” That’s not a rule listed anywhere in their terms. They just made it up on the spot.

Despite all of this, I still gave them the benefit of the doubt and even bought another $100K account. That shows how loyal I was — I assumed this was just a minor misunderstanding that would get sorted. But instead of fixing it, they ghosted me and never responded to my follow-up.

They are clearly not interested in paying out real traders. They just find any excuse to deny payouts. It’s shady, unprofessional, and flat-out theft.

I’ve got all the receipts, screenshots, and emails to back this up. If you’re thinking of joining FundedX — don’t. You’ll do everything right, and they’ll still screw you over.

If anyone from Fundedx is reading this, you can still give me my payout and make this right and I will delete this review. Before you come back and publicly say I “broke one of your rules” like you have to everyone else that’s left you a bad review we both know that’s not true and will be posting the screenshots to reddit as proof that you guys are an unfair business.

We operate with clear, transparent rules that every trader agrees to before beginning a challenge. All evaluations and funded accounts are reviewed with consistency, and decisions are based solely on adherence to the terms laid out from the start — nothing is added or made up after the fact.

In this specific case, multiple violations were flagged, including trade execution patterns that go against our risk model. These rules are designed to ensure long-term sustainability and fairness across all traders, not as a basis to withhold payouts.

STAY AWAY FROM FUNDEDX!

STAY AWAY FROM FUNDEDX!
After passing phase 1 and phase 2 of their 200k evaluation. I was reviewed and approved a 200k funded account.
- Firstly, they said I couldn’t risk more than 0.5-0.7% of the account.
- Secondly, SL must be set within 1 minute of placing a trade.
- Thirdly, if your trade hits SL within 15 seconds, you have breached the account.
After managing to avoid the above ridiculous traps and secured a $4300 profit on the funded account, when it was time for the payout, they said I traded news during the phase 1 of the evaluation so they are unable to approve my payout and breached my account.
Overall, a terrible experience and I’m not just saying this to be malicious but to call other potential traders attention to this so you can avoid the headache and disappointment of not receiving your payout. You are better off paying more and trading with reputable firms.

If you want breach someone for trading the news during phase 1, then breach them before you issue them phase 2 or even the funded account. You don’t want till the person requests a payout and then you tell them you will not pay them because they traded news in phase 1. That is not only a deliberate act of not wanting to pay people, but also a fraudulent business practice.

Stephen,

We’ve reviewed your case, you claimed that you were attempting to manage your trade over a public Wi-Fi connection. As we previously explained, this resulted in a delayed response time, which unfortunately affected your ability to manage your trade.

We must clarify: internet reliability is the responsibility of the user. Our platform is optimized for stable connections, and issues arising from poor connectivity — especially over public networks — are beyond our control.

These rules are in place to encourage disciplined risk management and are transparently disclosed to all traders. Thousands of successful traders operate within the same framework daily.

While we understand frustration from a breached account, misrepresenting facts doesn’t help future traders make informed decisions. We are here to support serious traders who take accountability for their setup and approach.

Lack of Transparency with Payouts – Disappointing Experience

I managed a 400K funded account with Funded X and submitted multiple payout requests. My first request was rejected due to “excessive risk.” However, I provided clear proof that my trades followed the original 1% risk rules (e.g., around $1,900 per trade on a 200K account).

On May 21st, I received a second 200K account, and the risk rule changed to 0.5% per account. From that point forward, I strictly followed this limit, risking no more than $900 per trade. Despite this, my second payout attempt was rejected again – this time with the claim that I traded during news events. I was able to prove this was not the case, using timestamps and trade records.

Unfortunately, I received no response or clarification after submitting my evidence. The support team stopped replying, even though I remained respectful and provided everything requested.

Conclusion: It feels like excuses are being used to avoid paying out. There is a serious lack of transparency and communication. I would advise caution to anyone considering working with Funded X.

Hello Kevin,

Funded X operates on a strict rule-based framework that every trader agrees to before receiving funding. These rules are not open to interpretation and are enforced equally across all accounts to ensure fairness and consistency.

While you claim to have followed a 1% risk model, our systems—along with a detailed manual review—identified trades that exceeded acceptable risk based on position sizing, leverage, and total exposure. This is a direct breach of our terms.

The guidelines are clear, and it is the trader’s responsibility to fully understand and comply with them.Funded X supports traders who operate within the boundaries of the program.

I never even got as far as buying an account surely these guys are a joke.
Despite quite a long portfolio/options trading career I have never had a prop account...meh
Why not I said.
"You must go to the Discord, otherwise you will miss all the constant rule changes" my friend said.
Felt that was a bit immature for a financial company using socials....but heyho, I'll give it a try.
This environment seems to be where you are faced with the ''Discord moderators'' who seem to be the most immature egotistical narcissist 'fools' ever. Like chavs with keyboards.
When you start asking questions, technical or probing questions all they have the intelligence to do is just hit BAN...i saw it happen. In the end I ask one too many questions.

"Really bro just put the fries in the bag"

Sorry I'm a professional trader for a living and I would never recommend this company.

Shame, I believe the founder AJ is a good trader but true to the industry as I now understand it, is totally sold out.

Hello,

FundedX was built for serious traders who are results-driven and thrive in a transparent, fast-moving environment. While Discord may not suit everyone's preferences, it's the platform where we deliver real-time updates, support, and community engagement. We also communicate via email, live chat on our website, instagram and telegram. In a dynamic industry, this allows us to stay agile and responsive—qualities many of our traders value.

As for moderation, we maintain high standards to ensure conversations remain respectful, relevant, and constructive. Questioning is welcome—hostility, provocation, and disrespect are not. If your interactions with our community didn’t align with that standard, action may have been taken to maintain the environment for others.

FundedX isn't for everyone, and that’s okay. We cater to committed, professional traders who understand the value of adaptability, structure, and accountability. We wish you continued success in your trading career.

Predatory behavior from FundedX

Extremely unfair practices, initially received couple payouts fine, went for 3rd payout on another funded account, after payout request, was told I broke a rule on phase 2 so payout is denied and account breached. This is not acceptable, this account should not have been granted to begin with and I wouldn't have to waste time and effort getting to payout and waiting the 14 days required for request. Unacceptable behavior. Furthermore, they still sent me the certificate and email that says they approve my payout and a new funded account. Absolutely Unprofessional, I had high hopes for this firm but I am left very dissapointed.

Hey Dewy,

We have rules in place to ensure a fair, transparent, and consistent trading environment for all participants. These rules are not arbitrary — they’re designed to protect the integrity of the platform, manage risk effectively, and ensure that every trader operates under the same clear standards.

As a company, we are committed to upholding these policies without exception. While we understand that not every trader may agree with every rule, consistency in enforcement is essential.

Our goal has always been to support disciplined trading and maintain a level playing field. That only works when rules are followed — and enforced — equally by everyone.

very misleading , i done over 10 funded accounts with no issue but suddenly they add an update of having a stop loss in atleast 1 minute when it clearly didnt and hadn't had this advertised nor was advertised on my previous 9 other accounts and just decide to breach people. Im probably thinking because the crypto market start moving and started costing them so they had to find a way to breech accounts even if they have to make up new breach rules that even on you phase account .
