FURHG makes bespoke green oak porches and pergolas, built to your measurements in our Kent workshop and delivered across the UK. We are a small team, and every frame is cut and jointed the way oak frames have always been made — solid oak throughout, using large section oak with tapered oak pegs rather than hidden fixings. There are four designs to start from: the Brabourne, with its fully curved tie beam and curved front posts; the Faversham, with a sweeping curved beam on straight posts; the Romney, with a queen truss in the apex; and the Tenterden, clean and straight with three vertical spindles. Anything that doesn't fit those, we build to your own drawing. You can price your own porch on our website in a couple of minutes, and we'll send a dimensioned sketch back before anything is cut. Before your frame leaves us it stands in the workshop and you get photographs of it, with a tape measure on it, to check against your wall. It arrives as a kit on a pallet, ready to put up. Green oak, made properly, that will still be there in a hundred years.
