I ordered a naia single bed in March…

I ordered a naia single bed in March 2026. It was unexpectedly delivered with no tracking or warning to my young 16 year old son who was at home alone. The large male delivery driver struggled with the three large packages as they were very heavy and dropped one wth force on our concrete porch. He then left them with my son to struggle with the three heavy packages to carry into the house which also made him late for school. The wooden headboard was damaged and chipped where the delivery was dropped on our porch. Parts of the bed were scratched. Bolts and screws were missing. The holes for the slats did not line up with brackets. I ordered more bolts which I was told would take about 2 or 3 weeks, so I went and bought some myself. This was before I discovered the problems with the holes. I asked for a part refund and to keep the bed which I had to pay a carpenter to make good and build the bed. I emailed furniture to go about six or even times and was treated like everything was my fault or ignored with some of the damage and problems. Luckily Robert Dyas gave me 20% part refund towards the disgusting treatment and problems and damaged bed from furniture to go. Avoid furniture to go at all costs.

Disappointing Quality and Service

I am extremely disappointed with both the product quality and the customer service.

The cabinet I purchased does not match the stated measurements. The sizing and proportions are incorrect, which made proper assembly impossible. I followed the instructions carefully, but the parts did not align correctly and the item does not function as intended. It is clearly poor quality and not fit for purpose.

I contacted the company immediately. For an entire week, I tried reaching them through their messaging system and by phone, but neither method worked.

Eventually, I was offered a £50 collection fee for returning the item. I agreed to this in order to resolve the issue. However, after I accepted, they refused the return altogether, stating that they do not accept returns because the item has been assembled — even though the assembly attempt was necessary to identify the faults.

Very disappointing experience. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before purchasing.

We did request photos of the issue so that we could assess whether there was a manufacturing fault and raise this with the supplier if necessary. Unfortunately, we did not receive any images or evidence, which makes it very difficult for us to determine whether the issue is product-related or assembly-related.

As advised through B&Q Marketplace, once assembly has started we’re unable to resell the item, and for that reason our policy is that assembled items cannot be returned unless a confirmed manufacturing fault is identified. This is why we asked for supporting images.

We absolutely understand that assembly can sometimes be frustrating, and we did offer to assist with replacement parts or further support to help resolve the issue.

If you’re still willing to provide photographs of the concerns, we would be more than happy to review them promptly and work toward a fair resolution.

Just awful, stay away from buying from them, I doubt any of their products are decent quality
Gutted I purchased from them

And then they reply to make themselves look better!

You offered a refund but refused to accept item back assembled (using the excuse that a courier won't accept it back assembled, I wonder how they deliver assembled products then) and expected me to waste more time taking it apart and having to find boxes after the box it came in was ruined on delivery. Your goodwill gesture of 45 was what the cupboard is worth in my opinion. I really had no option to accept your measly gesture. I just hope I stop at least one person buying your poor quality products

Urgent: Ongoing Quality and Service Issues

Dear Furniture to Go Team,

As a long-standing B2B client, we are extremely disappointed with the repeated service failures we have experienced. The level of customer service provided has been consistently unacceptable.

Most recently, we received two faulty wardrobes while installing them for our client, causing significant inconvenience, reputational damage, and additional costs to our business. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident — the products we receive frequently arrive faulty or incomplete, which clearly indicates a lack of effective quality control.

Furthermore, the process for resolving these issues is unreasonably slow. Replacements often take up to 30 days to arrive, leaving us unable to meet our own client commitments. Despite these recurring problems, no compensation or accountability has been offered for the resulting business losses.

We expect an immediate investigation and a prompt resolution to this latest issue, including the replacement of the faulty items within a reasonable timeframe and confirmation that corrective measures are being implemented to prevent recurrence.

We strongly urge your team to prioritise customer service responsiveness, quality assurance, and proactive communication. As a valued trade partner, we expect higher standards of reliability and professionalism from your company.

One replacement part was ordered in July and despatched within two weeks, one product fault involved a 30-day manufacturing lead time, and yesterday you reported two new issues — a missing fixing pack and a damaged wardrobe. The fixing pack will be sent today, and the wardrobe parts are now on order. Please note that the damage was reported outside our 5-day reporting window; however, we are still happy to assist with free replacement parts to resolve this for you.

You mentioned in your review that our customer service responsiveness requires improvement. Following our investigation, we reviewed every email exchange with our team — the longest response time recorded was just 31 minutes, with all other messages answered within ten minutes. We consider this an excellent standard of responsiveness, and your statement does not reflect the reality of our service performance.

We are very pleased with the cabinets

First of all the cabinet pieces were beautifully packed so there would not be any chance of pieces being bashed on the corners. All the pieces were very clear and it was easy to build. The only negative was that the manual did not quite match with what we had so at one point it said add extra screws but there were no holes to do that - however, it did not need the extra screws so was fine. One screw was missing and this was resolved very quickly by the office team. we are very pleased with the cabinets.

Stephen Tout is a rare legend! I needed drawer runners for a discontinued but expensive piece of furniture and I am incredibly grateful for Stephen being on the other end of customer service. Exceptional customer service

The bookcase I ordered was very well made. It took much longer to put together than indicated in the instructions but it is very solid and well designed. One part was broken on delivery. I contacted the company and received a replacement. The customer service during this time was excellent, with good communications leaving me in no doubt that the company would make sure the replacement was delivered to me.

Ordered a beautiful long side board/tv unit to fit under my window. Although a few parts had damages the company replaced them swiftly and I now have a lovely finished product. I did change the handles to gold to match my deco and it’s made it perfect. Really pleased and now looking at the other units to match.

Ordered some shelves

Ordered some shelves, they were the wrong size (my mistake granted) I contacted them to return the items. I was told courier return would be £20-£50, I contacted Evri who confirmed a return for the size and weight would be £6. I mentioned this to them and they replied by saying they were happy for me to return the items but they’d have to check if the items were resealable (again I understand) and it was likely that no refund would be returned and I’d have to contact Evri for a refund in that case. Very odd. Will avoid going forward.

Thank you for your review. You’re very welcome to return the shelves using your own courier — including Evri — or by taking them to a local B&Q store if that’s more convenient. We simply mention the risk so customers know that if goods arrive damaged, we can’t resell them, and any claim would need to be made with the courier.

When we arrange a return ourselves, our courier cost is higher because it includes full insurance to protect your refund in case of damage in transit.

We understand the size wasn’t right and will gladly refund once the shelves are back in resalable condition. I hope this clears things up, and we appreciate your understanding.

5 star service

We ordered one of their self assembly wardrobes from a third party website.
It arrived on time, extremely well packaged, in multiple boxes, making it easier to carry upstairs.
Unlike some flat pack furniture, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. It took us a while to build it, but it went together well, with everything lining up and the sliding doors only needing a tiny adjustment.
Sadly, we managed to damage 2 of the parts in the process, but the customer service agent was fantastic and sorted us out with replacement parts free of charge, even though it was our fault.
I’m delighted with the finished product and the service they gave, from start to finish.

Very satisfied.

Already had two chests of drawers from this company - no issues whatsoever. Ordered a third one that came with 4 of the parts visibly damaged. The company was quick to order spare parts at the manufacturer in Denmark, and even issued a partial refund for the trouble and arranged a collection of the faulty parts. Highly recommended.

Horrendous

Would give no stars if I could… tv unit / sideboard ordered from Furniture to Go via B&Q…booklet gives numbered instructions however the units do not have numbers on them.. even a professional joiner couldn’t put this pile of wood together… they don’t tell customers that they’ll have to figure out what piece of wood goes where.. if you complain they say you haven’t built the item correctly, but that is due to a lack of instructions from them.
Trading standards have been informed as they are ripping people off.. terrible so save yourself the stress. Avoid as they are selling through a third party who is B&Q whom I’ve also complained to.

While we don’t use numbered stickers, our instructions are designed with detailed 3D illustrations that clearly show each component and step. This approach is widely used across our ranges and has proven effective for most customers, including experienced joiners and tradespeople.

After reviewing the photos you kindly provided, we noticed that a few important assembly steps may have been missed. For instance, parts 2 and 10 appear to be absent on the right-hand side of the unit, which impacts both the stability and alignment. It also looks like the top panel was fitted earlier than the instructions advise, which could be contributing to the issues you encountered.

If you’re working with a joiner or tradesperson, it might be helpful to share this feedback with them in case they’re able to revisit the assembly and resolve the issues. Of course, our customer care team is also available to offer support or guidance where needed.

While one item had already been assembled, we have agreed to take back the second item for a refund, and we’re sorry this solution didn’t meet your expectations.

Excellent range of furniture, affordable and quality Scandinavian furniture

Excellent range of furniture. Quite liked the Paris furniture collection and ordered a bookcase. Very prompt on deliveries.They also have an excellent, experienced customer support team to navigate you through the buying process. Weronika and Stephen set real expectations and helped me navigate through the buying and delivery process. The product was easy to assemble and arrived with clear step by step instructions.

Excellent recent customer service from this company. In particular Weronika Osunde Customer Service Advisor. I needed to order a spare part for a Chest of Drawers and she went above and beyond to sort this out for me and kept me updated at all stages of the process to source the replacement part. Highly recommend this company if you need a follow up service after purchase even some time afterwards.
