Total disaster

I dont know how this store received five star reviews on its website. ive just purchased a bed, bedside cabinets and a sofabed from the store so spent a good amount.
I was told id have to wait till 29th to receive as the sofabed was custom covered. i explained i only had Wednesdays off , no problem madam..i explained also that i have no furniture so have to sleep on an airbed, but prepared to do so for a week after my move in date
come the 29th.no confirmation call, so i ring, i am told the bedside cabinets had only just come in so theyd not put on the truck so i can have all together and its coming on the 30th. i explained again that i work and cant be there on the 30th. promised that it would be sorted.
I then get told that id be called with a time for the afternoon.
get a text with a time slot of 3 to 6, they arrive 4ish, seem in a bit of a hurry. i ask what i need to put together, im told its all inside.
I put the bed together. No slats.
message them. sorry forgot, we'll bring them tomorrow. i explain AGAIN i work, no answer. i ring on 30th, amd insist they are delivered at 5pm when i get home. no problem madam. phone call at 3pm, im outside your house where are you? Explain AGAIN! well i wasnt told, he says. i just tell him to leave outside.
I then start to piece together the slats. they are approximately one inch too short..the middle support leg is cracked, there are only 10 slats out of 11, only 2 drilled holes each slat where should be 3, and nothing to line up with. when I phone the shop i am promised it will be fixed. The following is the email i got after id sent the photo..
"Hi Julia,

Few points I noted.

In photo of the centre leg it appears its not crack its the line or grain of the wood. So leg appears to be intact.

If you have no one to assemble the bed you would not be able to put the bed together properly. Slats are probably right size but side rails needs to be pushed in when putting them together.

Also, Screws can still go through the slats and can attach the base to it.

Delivery guys can normally assemble the bed frames for customers, but they charge extra to do so for their time and usually only do it on Sundays for $130.

If you do not have tools etc you will probably struggle to do put it together.

I am happy to help but i have to come after work with another person and can put it together for you for $50 cash. Also i will bring some slats from store as well just in case if i get stuck somewhere. I hope it helps. Let me know if any day is convenient for you. i can come after 5.15pm. "
I have emailed back, querying how he thinks i can possibly push the sides of a screwed together structure by an inch, amongst other choice words! i really question the honesty of someone putting this together as a cash job, and/or extorting 130 dollars extra by his delivery team. my ex husband had no problem building a bed in the past on his own. ive never heard of such a thing. The slats are so obviously incorrect even down to the number of slats and screw holes. My fear is he will try to make it work and botch it completely. My next stop is consumer rights as this company is run by a load of cowboys"
