Absolutely wonderful experience from Ollie and the team at Truro. Beautifully set out store with high end quality pieces at good prices. Did shop around but ended up comparing everywhere else to Furniture World, no competition for me! Bought some lovely lounge and kitchen furniture, a mattress and an ex display sofa, all delivered perfectly and incredibly well packaged. Absolutely first class local company to deal with, will not ever go anywhere else now, couldn't recommend highly enough!!

Friendly sales staff at the St Austell branch, not the slightest bit pushy. They were very well informed and found us the best deal, even arranging to remove our old mattress. We received a call to arrange a convenient delivery date. The delivery men called ahead on the day of arrival and provided a 2 hour time slot. They arrived well within the time given, were friendly and polite and took away all the packaging. The delivery took just a few minutes, everything was very smooth and professional from start to finish, thank you

Excellent service from ordering to delivery. Ordered a Cabinet replacement for a damaged one that we bought 8 years ago from Furniture World and was still available, very helpful at ordering stage and delivery chaps extremely helpful as well.

What can we say about Furniture world, we have always shopped with them. Nothing is ever too much trouble, the staff are friendly, not pushy, but will help with any questions, they contact you in plenty of time before delivery, the delivery men were on time, took old suite and chair away and installed the new sofa and chair, took all the packaging away. From store to delivery they were all smiley and caring. Will be back again soon

I love this place and it's always my first choice locally for bigger items.

Always fantastic customer service with good recommendations from Debi, who really listens to what I am looking for and keeps to my budget rather than trying to persuade me to spend money I haven't got! Prices are really good and always some sale items and I also got great discount on premium delivery which includes having it taken to bedroom, unwrapped and packaging taken away.

Definitely recommend coming here as first choice for furniture and beds. I bought my king-size bed from here a year and a half ago and it's so comfortable I can't wait to get in it every night!

Such friendly, helpful staff and top quality furniture, its well worth visiting. Plus plenty of parking makes it so accessible.

When the sofa first came it couldn't fit in my door. The two guys delivering tried their best bur it couldn't be done front or back of my flat. They advised a way around it, stored the sofa and are delivered it via my removed window. Again the guys delivering were very polite, cleaned up after themselves and were very friendly and kind. The sofa was such a bargain I had to get it in somehow. Thoroughly recommend this company.

You can tell how good a store is and their sales person, when you are looking for something specific in mind , and end up spending twice as much on an item you didn’t think you needed.
My husband and I were looking for a new bed for a returning son who is 6’3” in height. The present bed he was sleeping in was a small double (4’). Like most people you shop around, so we decided to start with the furtherest from our home and work back.
Furniture World was first and we didn’t see what we wanted despite the assistance of a very knowledgeable friendly but professional salesman called Ben. Not at all pushy, but informative. Whilst walking around there was an ex-display King size electrically powered ottoman bed. The make of which I’ve never heard of ( Highgrove Astoria) but very eye catching especially the reduced price. As a woman I couldn’t get this bed out of my head, despite visiting thereafter many local bed stores. Having had a brain storm whilst talking to Ben, I mentioned it would go possibly in our own bedroom and our son have our Sealy King sized bed. However, not aiming to do this originally we had to return home and measure.
This led to deposit, delivery arrangements and going back to try the bed. Throughout this Ben was patient, he listened and understood and let us think about it with a reserve on the bed with the deposit. Obviously we bought it and it’s now in our bedroom.
I’ve taken time to write this review as I actually wanted to sleep a while on this new bed. Couldn’t find any reviews before buying, only the Highgrove Company based in the UK. All new beds take a while to get used to, this has been no exception. It’s very comfortable, the colour of the head board and surround luckily was similar to the one we had, so no decorating required ( husband is truly grateful). Capacious storage being an ottoman rather than the two drawers we had, and the electrical operation a dream. We are mature people, and some of the ottoman beds are very heavy to lift and close. If I had to find a negative, then I personally find the mattress rather warm, possibly due to the materials it’s made from. One of those things you do not discover in a brief try out in store.
Nigel and Martin the delivery guys were great at communicating by phone call to give us an idea of time they would arrive. Respected our property, put the bed together and got it working so we were happy. Left with all the packaging, and were two of the nicest, friendliness guys you could come across.
So our first purchase and first visit to FurnitureWorld in Plympton, Devon turned out to be a pleasant but expensive visit, and the staff members especially Ben have our gratitude for all his help and support. As a team it works really well. Would recommend this store, and we will re-visit I’m sure.

From walking into the shop to sitting at the till paying for our Truro chair .Ollie was amazing and polite took time to talk to us and very knowledgeable about the business.the phone calls and warehouse team and delivery guys it’s a well run show thank you the barkers

I have bought so many pieces of furniture from this shop over the years through the Redruth store and the outlet in Penzance and always been completely satisfied. The staff in store are always brilliant. The delivery people always friendly and efficient. I bought 2 king size beds recently and they were delivered yesterday. When I went to put the bed together I found that there were a couple of the fixings missing. I had bought these beds at the outlet as it is closing down so they were ex dipslay. I rang the store (quite concerned as I had already disposed of the old beds). Within 30 minutes of this call they had found some fixings and rang me to say they were sending someone to my home with the required bits, he arrived within the hour. Just ‘wow’ what amazing customer service. I am so impressed with this company and can’t imagine buying furniture anywhere else.

The sales assistant was very helpful and guided us to the exact product we needed. The chair is exactly what we required and was delivered by two gents that were probably the most helpful and professional guys I have encountered delivering furniture, both a credit to the company. Thanks to all involved.

We had the most amazing experience with Furniture World St Austell. I actually wouldn’t go anywhere else now. We had to change our order half way through waiting for it and they were kind, friendly and the most helpful team. Tim, who looked after us was an absolute star. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Happy with delivery, but when we unpacked the table and legs there was no split rings-so we had to go to Screwfix to buy!

Delivered on time ,sorted the problem with the sofa being stained offered a replacement but 11 week wait so opted to let someone clean it on 24th of may

Three purchases made recently from FurnitureWorld due to a house move. Delighted with my purchases with the quality and style and excellent customer service from the two chaps at the Plymouth store, friendly and helpful but not pushy, thankyou for that. The two delivery chaps must get a mention too. Kept me informed of more precise times and happy and superb service again. What a positive experience all round FurnitureWorld, many thanks.

It was delivered on time and the delivery mem were very polite and helpful.

After doing some market research, I came to Furniture World for my Orla Kiely sofa & snuggler as they beat their competitors by a decent margin.

During the waiting period for the furniture (~6 weeks to manufacture), I noticed the prices for both products had reduced a little, so I put an enquiry in to see if they could honour the new prices as I had yet to receive the product.

A shoutout to Zia from the online service team who handled my request not only super quickly but without pushback and a super friendly and professional manner.

My whole experience with Furniture world from start to end has been truly fantastic, they're really competitive in pricing (best I've seen) and I'll certainly be returning in future.
