After less than 10 months the phone…
After less than 10 months the phone stopped charging. I contacted customer service, went thru their help, sent phots, and they said phone had been water damaged.
With no signs of water damage I asked what evidence suggested that. She said a spot that was silver in real life was red. I said, no it wasn't let me send a closer picture showing clearly it was not red. Not interested in seeing it, just said I could buy another phone from them

I purchased phones for my kids and then…
I purchased phones for my kids and then wanted to retun them. They charged me a restocking fee, an activation fee. A "mothers day fee" I paid 300 for the two phones and got less than half back when I tried to return them. We had the phones for less than 24 hours. Don't purchase.
Not worth it
First of all, the phones are buggy. Several times the sound would stop working for the music app unless I was using a Bluetooth speaker. Whenever I brought up this issue, I was accused by the person chatting with me of dropping my phone and thus making me the cause... except that the issue would resolve itself within a few days. The phones (I tried 2 separate phones) also tend to heat up when speaking to someone for more than a couple of minutes, which made having longer conversations difficult. I ended almost every phone call simply because my face was burning up. Call quality and sound was also not the greatest.
If you are looking for a phone without an internet browser and social media apps like I was, there are better and cheaper options. It may be using a sunbeam flip phone with a cheap phone carrier like Tello or Mint, but I guarantee it will be better quality and MUCH more affordable.
Also, if you do decide to go with Gabb, be aware that they have a ridiculous cancel fee with a cancellation tax to go with it.

I would leave negative stars if I could. It took almost a year to finally get them to deactivate my account. I kept getting charged every month for their service and I wasn't using it. Finally got it cancelled and they wouldn't reimburse me.

This company commits fraud
This company commits fraud. I had been generally okay with the product but then...I contacted them to pause service to reactivate later (I did not want to pay for the months before I will give my daughter's old Gabb phone to my son and I didn't care about keeping the number), had a very convoluted chat with an agent who was very inconsistent and misleading with his language but finally he assured me the following:
Me: But can you please confirm with a yes or no? Will I receive another bill after 2/1/23?
(11:59:05 AM) Tanner K.: No!
(11:59:38 AM) Tanner K.: That will be the last and the next billing date.
Then after a two month pause, they started charging me again and have refused to refund me despite the phone not being active. I am appalled by their blatant fraud. Do not trust this company.
Worst service ever
Worst service ever. Customer Service is terrible. Do not waste your time or money. My nephew hated the phone and the service and he is 7 years old. I got him a iPhone with metro pcs.

This phone is horrible!!!!!! There are so many problems that they haven't fixed, and every time I try to tell the company the problems I have had with this phone, they just try to avoid the question. Here are the problems I have had:
1.) If someone adds me to a group chat, it will either not work, or I won't be able to see any texts on it, or all the messages will be jumbled up and out of order, or other people in that group chat won't be able to see that the group chat was ever made.
2.) If someone wants to send you a lot of pictures at once, they need to send them 5 at a time or else it will come out blurry and really bad quality.
3.) They make the new apps they add to the gabb phone plus seem exciting, but they're not. The weather app always shows the wrong temperature, and gabb music has awful songs, with playlists that they made, and you can't even listen to individual songs that you want to listen to. Also, Sora is supposed to be a learning app, but it thinks I go to the school for the deaf and blind, solely based on my location and when I typed in the school I go to, it said they don't recognize my school!
4.) Camera quality sucks!!
5.) I am currently on my 3rd gabb phone right now because the others have broken down or suddenly stopped working. Each time this has happened, I have lost every single one of my photos! I had valuable photos of when I went to Costa Rica on there!
Overall, when you buy this phone, expect to only use it for texting and calling.
Horrible company
Horrible company! The worst customer service. They offer a live chat but you can never reach a “live representative”. Very shady there is no phone number to call and speak to someone either ! Canceling this immediately!
Super annoying
I am a 12 year old and I got a Gabb phone for my birthday I had it for 6 days and the power button stopped working they are sending a replacement but it is still incredibly annoying
Two things went wrong
Two things went wrong. First of all, the phone stopped receiving messages and phone calls. The phone would turn on, but we could get no cellular service. Second, after I called to cancel the service, they charged $4.51 to the account for taxes owed. Because my credit card on file was canceled due to fraud, the payment for $4.51 was charged. I got a late fee of $10. Gabb refused to waive the late fee of $10. I had to pay $14.51 for $4.51 of taxes due. That is a late fee of over 200%. Ridiculous. This company has horrible service. Stay away!!

We bought this phone for our 8-year-old daughter for Christmas. We wanted something very basic for her first phone and this fit the bill...or so we thought. We've had it activated for just over 2 months now. We bought this with the sole purpose of being able to contact each other when we aren't together which is rare, and to make the occasional call to long distance grandparents. Her first time away from us at a party with her phone, she tried calling us to pick her up and couldn't reach us. When I chatted in to support we found out that it had actually been down for several weeks of the 1 month we had the phone. They fixed it and assured us that there was a network issue but that this was not a common issue and should happen again. Fast forward to today...about 1 month later. This is the second time we needed the phone to connect and everything is down again. I immediately added a line to our Verizon plan, got a free iPhone, and it's only adding $25/month to our bill. The Gabb phone was $30/month and we had the basic phone. We will put all of the same parental controls on the phone that she has on her iPad and I'm confident that it will be safe, secure, and actually work when we need it to. I wish we'd never heard of this Gabb company. They will be out of business in no time it seems based on all of these horrible reviews. Hopefully this will save someone considering this product the headache it will surely bring.

gabb phones suck
I am a 13-year-old that is currently using a Gabb phone. I strongly discourage people from getting a Gabb phone. they are very unreliable and break easily. I am on my 3rd Gabb phone because they continuously stop working. right now it won't let me even call or text. every month I spend about 8 hours trying to figure out what's not working on my phone. not to mention, the Gabb wireless customers service is next to useless. please do not waste your time on getting a Gabb phone.
If there is an alternative, take it!
Like most parents that want their kids to have access to a phone, but not a computer, we used Gabb for about 6 months.
It costs a lot for what you get, the customer service is pretty bad, the website is worse, and it doesn't look like they, as a company, are trying to get better.
I think we will go with a flip phone on the family plan once the Gabb phone breaks.

Worst customer service ever. They want your money, they don't want to help you. Watch doesn't work? Too bad, you still need to pay the monthly fee or cancel early at an over inflated price.
Don’t deliver on promises, punitive, pricing, useless
They don’t deliver the geographic tracking they promise and they have punitive cancellation policies. Considering that these products are marketed to parents of trouble children, it’s despicable that they can’t actually deliver what they’re promising.
Refused a refund for their error.
We've been using Gabb for about 18 months for my son. I just realized they have been double billing me the entire time. There were 2 phone numbers associated with my account, I was only aware of the one. I first tried to resolve through chat, that was ineffective, so I called customer service. Rep told me he didn't know why there were 2 lines, but no refund. I pressed, and he said he or I could talk to billing, but I probably wouldn't be getting a refund. The only contact to billing is an email, so I emailed and after several days they credited my account the overpayment amount. Tried to use the credit to upgrade our existing phone, no. Asked about a refund, no. The only way to use this credit is to stay with Gabb for 18 more months. Basically a pre-paid service, and I lose the money Gabb took from me for 18 months if I leave. This is an unacceptable resolution, they over-billed me and refuse to refund any way other than remaining with them for service. Very exploitive. I used to refer my clients to Gabb as a safe alternative to smart phones for teens, but their customer service isn't safe at all.
