DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I sent my PlayStation 4 to this company for repair in September. After approximately six weeks of repeated phone calls and a lack of meaningful communication, I was ultimately forced to attend the premises in person to retrieve my console, regardless of the repair status.

During this period, no repair had been completed. The device had merely been dismantled, and I was issued a partial refund amounting to approximately one third of the original repair cost. To make matters worse, the PlayStation was returned to me in a damaged condition and missing all of its screws.

Following this, Barry assured me on multiple occasions that the missing screws would be sent and that tracking information would be provided. Despite numerous follow-up calls, neither the screws nor any tracking details have ever been supplied. As a result, I am left with a damaged console that is incomplete and unusable.

The manner in which I was spoken to when requesting the return of my property was unacceptable. The tone was sarcastic and dismissive, and the overall level of professionalism was extremely poor. Calls were frequently ignored or abruptly ended, and there was no attempt to take responsibility for the situation.

This has been the most unprofessional business experience I have encountered, and I strongly advise others to avoid this company to prevent a similar outcome. If it were possible to leave less than one star, I would do so.

All kinds of illegal

I used to work here years ago and it seems the same practices have continued - I received no training and was asked to fix multiple different types of equipment, most of which I used YouTube for (there's a 12 year old Irish boy who does a LOT of tutorials.) When I could fix things, it took me some time, when I couldn't it was often due to me requesting parts, but these requests being ignored by the boss, who was generally more interested in loooooooooong conversations with women he found attractive in the shop.

All staff are cash-in-hand, apart from work experience kids (free) which I find incredible that he has been getting away with for so many years.

Barry is a conman, worse - he's terrible at it - that shop has been losing money at a steady rate for the whole time he's had it, can only guess there's a roomful of cash somewhere that is slowly dwindling too.

Oh yeah Barry - you still owe me a month's wages - hope the girls at the strip club enjoyed it. Hi Melissa.

Took 5 weeks for nothing

Took 5 weeks to tell me they couldnt repair my playstation. I called multiple times during the 5 weeks and was told it needed more parts, soldering machine broke, being worked on etc and other excuses to why it isn't ready yet.
At the end of all this it wasn't repaired. I paid £50 originally towards the repair and this wasn't given back to me. As Barry told me that they put parts in my playstation worth double this, even though they didn't manage to fix it... i would avoid if possible

Disgraceful service

Disgraceful service , unrealistic timeframes for repair ( over 9 weeks) , misquoting , price rise from £290 to £500 due to insufficient competency around diagnosis & ordering parts. Misinformation constantly provide , its being worked on, waiting for parts, be ready tomorrow
And the audacity to retain the initial payment despite no repair !
Do not use, wish I’d read the Reddit reviews earlier

Being well looked after

The man in charge don't know his name treated me like a lost child when I came in with my laptop last week because it just wont switch on. And that's how I like to be treated. And to my relief it didn't cost me an arm or a leg either. I bought my laptop from him 5 years ago and I also had a similar problem with it a year ago. So we are like old friends now.

Good screen fix but issues with assembly

Fixed my cracked iPhone just slightly below by the fingerprint sensor. within 30 minutes on Monday which is very impressive but upon receiving, they had not reassembled the phone correctly, the earpiece was disconnected & had to go back into the shop this Saturday to get it fully repaired.
This meant a whole week without making any phone calls which if this was a work phone wouldn’t be acceptable.
Therefore giving only 4 stars….
Updated however….I was going to leave 4 but now they have disconnected my forward selfie camera. Coming out with a new earpiece Max is to be replaced. The part is not in the country. now having to wait 2 weeks for a replacement part. They are also charging for the forward camera to be fixed when it wasn’t broken when I took it in….
Very disappointing
Ngl but it’s looking like a 3 star review from me

AVOID AT ALL COST

AVOID AT ALL COST! YOU WILL GET ROBBED FOR A HORRIBLE SERVICE! They are Absolute scammers. They do not have a single professional/specialist behind those windows. Charged me £300 refusing to return my laptop until i gave him the money. Charged me £40 just to LOOK at the laptop. Only to find out that they in fact did not even fix it. It was completely broken when they returned it. They did not even bother to screw on the laptop cover properly. Barry refused to give me a receipt no matter how many times I pleaded for it. I don’t even normally review things in the internet but that is just how horrible my experience was. Avoid this place.

Completely unreliable place

Very rude owner . Given false promises before I ordered the product. He stated the warranty will be 12 months but when I got the product he gave me 1 months. After huge arguments he make it 3 months. As a Whole it is a complete unreliable place. I recommend should not go there. He showed me good reviews before I ordered i think all of them are false.

Outstanding service

Very professional, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous. The only team I would trust for repairs. I felt reassured the second I walked through the door, due to a shortage of staff a member of the technical team was called in urgently to carry out the repair of my damaged memory stick. The very next morning I received a message to say it had been completed successfully and all my data retrieved. Reasonable fees. Highly recommended

AVOID SCAMMERS CHEATS DECEIT

AVOID SCAMMERS CHEATS DECEIT
Background
I went to the shabby shop on 6 December 2020. Wanted to get my Note 4 fixed, I bought 6 years ago in December 2014 in UK from a reputable company.
Issue
The phone actually died in my hand while using, I think there was some issue with the software.
Bad day
Wanted to spend a max of £50 just to get it working, went to Leeds city centre thinking the shop in the city centre would be professional and competent. Saw this old freak man probably the owner and a well-trained liar and deceit. He asked for £25 upfront without giving any receipt (means he DOES NOT PAY proper TAX =dishonest with the gov).
DO NOT pay anyone Upfront, this is clear sign of a swindler anyway I paid £20 upfront.
He asked for my budget and I said £50/60 he said if I would increase it to £75, it will fix any issue the phone may have. I agreed for max of £75 budget.
I went back to his shop after few hours and inquired about my phone. The old man was not there and one of the technicians confirmed he had looked at my phone, and it had some software issue, which he will fix in few hours.
I called the shop after few hours and asked about the progress, was told by the old man the screen is broken, I was amazed, I explained there was no screen issue with my phone (mind you phone main issue was, it was not booting, after few attempts it does but go off again in few minutes showing no screen damage), he confirmed what he was saying was correct, so the budget went upto £80.
On Monday 7 Dec 20 I received another text and call from the swindler that the price of the same fix had gone up to £95. Suspicious of his dealings I refused to get the phone fixed and asked him to return my phone without further work.
SHOCKING DAY
I went to collect my phone on 12 Dec 20 and was shocked to know that the phone was in bits and shall come back in 1 hr. Why the phone was in bits for whole week you will know, he needed time to scam me again. I sent him an assertive text and guess what a phone in bits was ready for collection in less than 10 mints. By the time I received his text I had left the city centre and came back after few hours.
The DRAMA
The man retuned my phone, which was not mine, as soon as I touched the phone I told him this was not my phone, he insisted this is my phone he had written IMEI No and it matches with my phone’s IMEI No. (my mistake I did not note my IMEI No, but does not matter for this conman).
I had used the phone for 6 years, as soon as you touch it you know it’s not yours. I took it to my wife outside the shop and she confirmed the same this is not our phone.
The old man manged to match my IMEI No but was so inept he could not match my battery with the phone. The phone he returned has 3.85V/1500mah written on it while genuine phone have 4.4v/3220mah battery, the battery is my genuine battery and the specs written on the phone does not match with battery. The replica phone he returned me did not match the battery specs of an original phone (see pics).
The differences in the phone he returned and my phone.
1. Battery specs does not match with a genuine phone battery specs the phone he returned has 3.85V/1500mah written on it.
2. The phone he returned me is 50% heavier than my genuine NOTE4.
3. My phone had Made in China written on it while the phone he returned has Samsung UK on it.
4. My phone back cover was slightly broken the phone he returned was with perfect back cover.
5. My phone was in perfect facial condition, the phone he returned is scruffy.
6. The screen is curvy while my phone screen is pretty flat, like a genuine NOTE4.
Lesson
AVOID this swindler, he will rip off money and your gadget. Take many pics of your gadget before giving it for repair to anyone. Do not give advance money for repair.
My phone was not more than £100, but the conman did not spare me.
I am sure the swindler will respond to my post, dirty man if you have courage post the pics you had taken when returning my phone and tell the world the phone you returned me does not match with genuine phone specs (battery and others).
