Staff attentive but coffee overpriced £4.30 for a (very) small flat white. The main bug bear is the other customers, one person taking up a double table with a laptop and one empty coffee cup. All tables occupied like this. A Work-from-Homer arrives, orders a single coffee, sits there all day while I perched on an uncomfortable chair
Visiting GAIL’s Kingston is always…bittersweet
Visiting GAIL’s Kingston is always bittersweet. The produce is amazing, the staff are attentive but the bakery is dirty with tables overflowing with used crockery and massive queues. I’d love to recommend but I can’t. The exception for me is the Cobham bakery

Won't be back
We go regularly to Gail's, several per week usually. This time the service was very disappointing. I went on Fri to purchase bread, cheese twist, morning bun, sausage roll and 1 of their whole lemon cakes. When I went home I saw that the lemon cake was missing (£12).
On Monday I went to let them know that the cake was missing if they can check the app for a proof and either just give me another cake or do a refund. They refused because they couldn't use the app to check the purchases and refused to do anything else. The girl said rudely that this is my problem and they couldn't do anything about.
I dont think I will be returning with that customer service when the mistake was theirs and I am taking the hit.
Plenty of other bakery in kingston.

Awful food
Awful food, loud atmosphere, rude workers, cold coffee and dirty dirty tables. What a waste of time and money! Disgusting!

I just have had a very bad attitude from the guy and slamming the cup hard enough to make sure he is not welcoming any guest to have a Drink prepared for the guest and handling the pot to heat the milk up by putting his whole hand inside instead of grabbing it from the handle for to have it prepared for our latte for me and my wife at Kingston KT1 . Please this is not the first time we encounter this . Just teach those people to treat customers with greeting and a smile not jerking the cups and make a face at us.regards, ammar .

Ridiculous Price
Feeling very ripped off. 2 small rolls, a small cake and 2 coffees. Was nice, BUT £27.90 really is a joke. Never again. Wished I’d checked before!!! Utter disgrace. Gail’s Kingston upon Thames.
Great food utterly dire experience
Just had an excellent but overpriced coffee and croissant at the Kingston Upon Thames store. At a premium price you would expect as much TLC put into customers complete experience. But no. The staff's entire focus was on serving and raking the cash whilst the other side of the counter was more like Gregg's or worse. Literally piles of plates, cups and half finished food. Keep this up Gail's and your reputation on this side of the counter will be in tatters in no time. Very very disappointing

My wife & I just had breakfast in your Kingston upon Thames branch. I had the eggs & bacon, which was overcooked. The guy who took our order unfriendly, unhelpful & lacking in personality. He told us iur food wiukd be served to our table, but he was more busy talking to colleagues instead of taking care of her customer. Having waited & waited, I went over & asked where our food was, he went its here & refered to the lazy butler. I have no idea how long our food had been sat in there for & carried the food to the table myself. The music is way to loud, that my wife & I had to lean in to hear each other. The only positive & can give is the coffee was really good, but this is not enough of a readon for us to want to enough return to an over priced poor served establishment.
