Poor customer service, staff know each other too well to think about customers! Staff just messing around chatting. Customer seem like an inconvience.

Coffee is grim

Took two sips of the cappuccino and handed it back. Sour milk and the coffee itself was dishwater, with a lingering foul taste. And expensive, too..

Go elsewhere, there are a a few independents on the high street.

Gail’s fails!!

I went to Gail’s yesterday with my mum and brother, I was there for over 2 hours (11-1) as we were waiting for an appointment and thought this would be a nice choice of venue to sit and chat! Wrong!! We had 2 croissants and 2 coffees costing £17.30p. Coffee was average, there was only one barista and there was quite a long wait, about 5 minutes. The croissants however were the driest stalest I have ever eaten, very difficult to eat. I felt there was no point complaining at the time as I expected I would be told they are baked fresh daily, as you would expect in a bakery! Our table was by the open kitchen and I watched the “chef” bake a large quantity of croissants and then wrap trays full with dozens of layers of cling film then placing them on a bakers rack! I can only assume these were being baked ahead for the next day (there were plenty of croissants still in the counter). There were lots of customers, mostly mums with children that treated it like a playground! One child even locked the front door meaning people couldn’t get in or out. There was only the disabled toilet in use, no toilet roll and broken flush handle! Safe to say I will not be returning, I’ve had better coffee and fresher croissants from a service station!
