Piutney store is cold, uncomfortable and cramped. Stale bread, broken coffee machine and poor quality pastries. All served at exorbitant prices.

After a previous poor experience with the ‘Too good to go’ bag and a rude staff member in the Putney store I haven’t visited in some time. As an Orthodox Christmas treat I thought I’d try again. Big mistake! There was no bread in the £7.50 bag despite there being several loaves on the shelf just before closing time. This was despite the website offer stating the bag normally comprises 70% bread. I asked the staff member if I could swap as I’d really hoped for bread but she was unhelpful. I can only imagine she wanted it for herself. I’m done with Gail’s, its surly staff and over priced offer. Looking online I now see I’m not the only person disappointed with the poor value offer.

Only upside is dogs are allowed but no water bowl was offered

Gail’s bakery Putney. Horrible, I repeat, horrible, sausage rolls that can’t be warmed up, seats that make your back ache, tea where you can see the bottom of the cup, almost, it’s so weak. A complete waste of money. Don’t bother

Putney Branch need to employ professional and kind staff. Not treating customer with poor professionalism. Staff member instead of helping customer, treating customer with zero respect and looking at them as customer is dumb. Plus not giving the right items to customer and providing cold hot drink when annoyed.

What is the point of click and collect?
Ordered a loaf of bread late this morning and put a collect time of 1.20pm which was accepted. Turned up on time only to be told that they didn’t have the loaf I ordered!! What a waste of time. To add insult to injury they said they had tried to call me. No missed calls on my phone of course. How is click and collect different from just turning up as a usual customer
