Very happy return customer.

I am a return customer to the Galaxycon online shop because I am a very happy customer. Galaxycon customer services dont always reply to my emails, but apart from that ive got no complaints at all. Delivery times are reasonable considering I am in the UK. I really recommend their online shop. Thank you so much Galaxycon, im sure i'll be back again for a fifth time sometime soon.

Incredible experience!

I ordered with them in December 2025 and I finally received it. It was a really pleasant experience. My order had to be shipped to Germany and honestly I was pretty concerned if everything will work out and arrive in one piece. But They packed my package so carefully and well! Not even a scratch on anything! Everything was wrapped in those bubble wrap thing. It may took a bit longer till it was shipped but when the package was received by DHL it was here in like a week or so.

Great experience! I recommend!

My online order

I placed an order on November 23, and since November 24, the USPS status has been showing “Labels printed, waiting for items.” A new order from November 25 arrived yesterday.
I have written several emails and received no response. Phone calls are not being answered. I have been waiting almost 4 weeks for my order worth $350 to arrive. Of course, I already had to pay for it. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.

Terrible event

This was by far the worst event that has ever been in Columbus. Poorly coordinated, overbooked everywhere and VERY POOR SECURITY. Even the passes were very poor quality when compared to previous years. Items/weapons checked on the day before were not rechecked the next day. It would have been possible to transfer the tag from something safe to something unsafe and then just flash the tag and walk in. Should be a different color tag each day.

They put on great cons

They put on a great con once you get past check in. Check in can take a while. It is best to be at checking line at least an hour before check in.

They have little control over the talent they pick. They always have multiple head line people so if one backs out there are others to see.

The sales floor and signing hours are clearly posted. Often you can run into celberties on the con floor.

The 18+ shows are unbelievable. You need to take time to attend the panels, and just not the big ones. The little panels are led by volunteers and are great.

My one complaint is they are adding way to many pay for special event meet and greets.

Company proves they just want your money

Packed in line a sardine to get an autograph. Could barely move with how many people were in the hall. The guest stars, they were great. That's why this gets a bump up to two stars. The set up, abysmal. Taped lines on the floor too small for any real person to stand in. Stars were even pulling up tape to make space more manageable for congoers. My guess is that they oversell regular entry tickets instead of capping a day. Super uncomfortable, awkward, and literally shoulder to shoulder. I wonder what a fire marshal would think if they saw it. I used to enjoy Galaxycon but that's changed. Columbus used to be really fun. Such a shame. Won't go back.

I attended Galaxy Con's Animate, some of the featured guests at the panels were overly political.

I just attended Galaxy Con's Animate convention in Philadelphia. I went to see several panels and the guys performing at a large portion of these panels, Tyler Wood, and Elgin David, were getting OVERLY political over topics that never even had anything to do with politics. It got to a point where I, and many others, walked out of these panels upon constantly having to hear this nonsense that had nothing to do with the panels. This is an anime convention, a place to get away from politics and the seriousness of the world and I do not need to have more of it shoved in my face from ANY side when I am just trying to enjoy myself at a convention and escape the real world for a little while. I believe speaking about political issues should be banned from the convention entirely and if the guests cannot control themselve's they need to be removed from the convention. Until changes are made I am never attending another one of your conventions. This issue alone ruined most of my experience. Only thing that made any of this experience worth something was meeting Colleen Clinkenbeard, the cosplay wrestling panel was fairly entertaining too. The food was alright but nothing amazing. I much preferred AnimeNYC.

Missing items and poorly run

We purchased 3 day passes for GalaxyCon Raleigh. We got mostly empty bags. It was clear that the staff had very little guidance. I reached out a week after and we are pushing a month out now with no response to my emails outside of auto response emails. We just would like the rest of the items we should have gotten in the bags.

After how overcrowded the place got, especially on Saturday, and how flatly unprepared they were for the heat, I am not sure if we will go back.

I also hope they do better with managing their vendors because some of their vendors were very poorly treated.

This was my first (and last) time…

This was my first (and last) time attending GalaxyCon Raleigh. I don’t even know where to start—this event was a complete mess from the moment we arrived.

The convention was dangerously overcrowded. You could barely walk through the vendor hall without being shoulder to shoulder with sweaty strangers. No crowd control, no breathing room, and definitely no fun. Panels were impossible to get into unless you camped them hours ahead of time, and the staff made it clear they had no clue what was going on half the time.

Speaking of staff—most were rude, short-tempered, or just flat-out ignored people. I watched multiple guests get screamed at for standing in the wrong place, and no one seemed trained or informed about anything. It honestly felt like the volunteers were just tossed into the fire with no support.

Let’s not forget the insane lines. I stood in line for over an hour for a photo op only to be told the guest had canceled—something I only found out because other attendees told me. No announcements, no updates, just silence.

Also, almost everything required cash. Many guests only took cash, the ATMs ran out early, and there was zero communication about this ahead of time. Seriously? In 2025?

It’s clear GalaxyCon cares more about packing in as many people as possible than creating a good experience. I spent hundreds of dollars for what felt like an unorganized, overpriced, and overheated nightmare.

Save your money. There are better cons out there

Awful experience

Awful experience
We drove over 3 hours to get to the Raleigh convention just to get Shanghaid at the front entrance.

-We were told our prop weapons to our costumes were not allowed, oversized 3d printed guns with no moving parts or function, no problem I walked them back to the car while my spouse purchased tickets and headed to the exhibit hall.

-When I got back with the food and drinks I purchased for my 8 and 2 year old I was told that I had to throw everything out, even though it was purchased from the convention food truck event.

-The staff was purposely obtuse and refused to help my spouse and children find their way back to the front entrance to the point of refusing to let her use the stairs or escalators to come meet me with my badge.

-I spent 2 hours looking for a staff member who would escort me down one flight of stairs to obtain my badge. By that time the exhibit halls and events were all closing down

When we did make it to the exhibit hall we were chased out after my son purchased a prop laser gun from a vendor and not allowed to re enter , why the hell are they selling prop weapons and kicking buyers out immediately?

We were charged much more than what was advertised on the website for a 1 day pass. All in all it was a terrible experience, I've never experienced anything like it in all the conventions we've attended. I will not be returning nor would I ever recommend this event to anyone.

This has become a HUGE MONEY GRAB

This has become a HUGE MONEY GRAB! It is now horribly unorganized and just plain bad.
I have been going for all 6 years and it used to be a lot of fun. Now it's just a nightmare. Here is why:
1. They are unorganized, the employees have no idea what is going on and are just grasping at what they are supposed to be doing.
2. It has become a HUGE MONEY GRAB.
3. I paid a lot of money to be here and they turned me away us away at the MAIN EVENT costume contest. They were too cheap to have the whole ballroom the con grows every year. They know how many people bought tickets, they sold out! So they only excuse is they were TOO UNORGANIZED OR CHEAP TO BUY MORE SPACE. There are a million meeting spaces between the hotels and convention center, they need to do their homework and find the space because this is inexcusable.
4. On this note they do have tons of rooms so why didn't they make secondary viewing spaces and let people watch the contest on TV? It would be so easy to set up i could do it.
5. It's over 100 degrees outside and they are making people dump out their water bottles but they don't have the water bottle refill stations working. They are charging $5 for a bottle of water.
6. The floor space has become more and more vendors and even a bunch of the panels are charging now. The space for the stars has shrunk and been replaced with vendors.
7. There are way less stars and this is the first year we didn't have any interest in getting photos with any of them. Take that as you will, could be my opinion of whose there, could be the selection is not as good.
8. Some of the volunteers were just plain rude. It seems like they grabbed people last minute that didn't want to be there. Some of them were super nice and I genuinely enjoyed speaking with them. Others, one man in particular when turning people away from the MAIN EVENT COSTUME CONTEST Saturday, stood on a chair and told people very rudely told get out of the way, that they were at capacity, offered no solution, and basically told us to GTFO we were like 10th in line to get in. Again, poor planning, poor choice of choice of employees, poor organization, and no empathy.
9. The panels were not as good and the good ones were at the same time. Also they were charging for a ton of them this year.
10. They were taking people's toy gun and sword props and then the vendors were selling the same thing to people in the event. Like WTF!
11. They were completely unprepared for the amount of people that were there.

OVERALL: I KIND OF WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!

New Orleans Event was 10/10!

Had a great time yesterday. It’s the first convention I’ve been to in New Orleans since MechaCon ended where it was run perfectly. One of my favorite things as someone who gets overstimulated easily was how much space there was to move around in the Exhibit Hall. No one was having to bump and push their way through. Everything started on time, there were tons of celebs and panels to engage with, the MCs for everything were great, and there was a huge Artist’s Alley. And - as a Type 1 diabetic - I was thrilled to see plenty of food options. I never had to worry about my blood sugars which is usually a huge stress factor for me at conventions. To be honest, after years of Wizard World and FanExpo, I was skeptical about another big event organized convention; the others were usually huge clusters where half the celebs cancelled last minute and you couldn’t get a refund if they were the only reason you wanted to go. I would definitely attend this convention again even without any guests I wanted to meet. My only complaint is the $60 one day price tag, but inflation sucks. LOL Honestly, next year I plan to get a hotel nearby and attend all weekend! And as an autistic, disabled, 41-year-old to say I want to go back even MORE? That’s a HUGE compliment!!! Way to go, GalaxyCon. You really went to “infinity and beyond!” 10/10 rating, 5 stars!

Not the most Organized or planned out…

Not the most Organized or planned out convention.
I am having to mention this because I went to the Gabriel and the Guardians premiere organized by Galaxy Con, and they put the wrong scheduled time of when the panel started, regardless of the event being at a movie theater. They still didn't 100 percent have the correct time. Also, it's almost not worth it buying the fast passes for the con. I bought the fast passes for Animate Columbus, and the lines for the con are not fast at all, same with trying to find the lines for the autograph booths, they are just pieces of tape, not explained. The VIP extra experience isn't worth it in my opinion. Just buy a regular ticket - honestly, I feel like I wasted $ 400 on VIP that barely even gave me the VIP experience or a Disneyland fast pass line, as I had hoped.

They don't care about congoers health or safety

Refundable.Me is a scam. I purchased tickets for Galaxy Con Columbus 2024 as well as the insurance through Refundable.Me in case something should happen. I ended up being too sick to travel and attempted to get the refund. Not only was the process to get the refund ridiculous and asked for information they had no right knowing, including my full bank account number and routing number they were requesting a doctor's note on order for some proof that I was sick. When I provided a note from my doctor stating I was too ill to travel, they decided it wasn't worded exactly how they wanted and denied my refund. They did offer me "money from their emergency fund" as a "show of good faith". So basically I get a partial refund and they get to pocket the rest of my ticket money as well as the money I paid for the insurance and I just get screwed over. Not only will I not return to Galaxy Con or any other convention they sponsor I won't patronize any events associated with Refundable.Me, it's not worth the risk should something come up.

Whats up with competing with San Diego' Comcon…

I've been reading the reviews and I have to agree. The previous year 2023 was amazing. 2024 was awful. Why are you continually competing with San Diego ComicCon. The guest were not what l expected to see like in the previous year. Are they all in San Diego? And how many times are you going to have William Shatner the man didn't make any since this year. I opted for 3 days in 2024 as opposed to 2023 just Saturday. Well this year 2025 I'm opting out until they can get some proper guest and programs. They were a little lame 2024. There was really nothing I was interested in. What was with tattoos? When did that become a vInue for comicon's.

Terrible Experience at Galaxycon 2024

My son and daughter in law attended in Raleigh 7/28/24. It was their first time attending an event like this. They poured over all available information online and made every effort to do anything we could before the event. They got to the event and arrived before the doors opened planning to meet one of the featured celebrities and it was absolute chaos from the moment doors opened. They had invested in a keepsake item to have signed and had $140 to purchase the artist signature and a selfie. They never had a chance. It was chaos and the people that appeared to be staff told them rudely that unless they had paid for a premium meet up before the event, they were not going to even have a chance to have a paid encounter with the artist. They were essentially kicked off the property by someone and told to come back two hours later and maybe they could get in, and they came back when instructed and they were treated even worse by the next apparent staff person. They had no misconceptions about having to wait to have the encounter. They were prepared to spend hours in line. But they were never given the opportunity. The last "staff" member was so rude towards them that they left. We will be never attend an event with Galaxycon again. When I emailed to explain what happened and ask for an apology or acknowledgement of how they were treated, the only thing I was told was that they encountered "volunteers" not paid staff, and there is nothing Galaxycon can do.

Disappointed cosplayer

I've been going to Galaxycon for 6 years and so far this year has been the worst year. it was unorganized and honestly to say bluntly lame. there weren't any panels and meetups for people other than celebrities on the Friday schedule(the only day I went) and from the looks of the magazine provided there weren't many if any at all for the other days. Some of the other people I spoke to reported the magazine missing pages specifically between pages 30-35 which hold the schedule for the days. I went around the convention multiple times and we couldn't find any rooms open for cosplay meetups or friend opportunities like last year. I also went through the shopping and artist ally and everyone was shoulder to shoulder which made it very uncomfortable. There was also a lot of more aged up events rather than all ages like tattoos, piercings etc making it hard for me and my friends to do things as we are all minors. it seems like everything there was made for adults to spend money rather than fandoms to have fun. I'm honestly very dissappointed as this was the closest convention to me and I looked forward to it every year.

Awful, unprofessional, experience

Awful experience. I had been planning this for months, because some of my favorite actors were gonna be there and after spending a lot of time, effort, money, it was all for nothing. Nowhere on the instagram or on the website was it clearly stated when the celebrities left. It’s a long drive to Raleigh from where me and my friends lived, so we got there kinda late, around 9. When we got there initially, we had problems with some of the tickets going through, so already around $100 was wasted because they had a problem with finding my friend’s ticket. The lady telling us about ticket details was horribly rude despite us being as nice as possible even after the months of stress, confusion, and only having a few hours of sleep. We had to go outside and ask people if they’d be willing to give us one of their passes while they were leaving. After gaining entry into the con, we were wondering what was even happening so we asked some people who worked there, they didn’t even know. So we ran around this whole maze like place trying to figure out where we can meet the people we came here for, just to find out that they had left right before we even got there. Not wanting this all to go to waste, we searched for things to do, and it was all explicit, disgusting activities like watching naked pole dancers, hentai stuff, and “Pokémon smash or pass”. None of these were appealing in the slightest form. We met some nice people though, me and my friend went as Rick Grimes, and Dale from The Walking Dead and we got recognized and took a couple of pictures with people, and we even ended up on the local news. Overall, this was a bad experience, unprofessionally handled by the people holding the event and the people working there designed to take your money by falsely advertising the event to you. I will never go to another Galaxy Con, and I would not recommend anyone to either.
