Very poor, untrustworthy customer service

I bought a Wireless Xbox One Controller in Red for £39.99 when Game had an offer on. Within 4 weeks it suffered from 'Control Drift' whereby one of the toggles returns by itself to a set position, making game play inaccurate if not impossible. I returned said controller to Game.com and asked for a replacement. Game denied receipt of returned controller, but luckily I returned it by registered Royal Mail delivery. Magically, it subsequently appeared in their returns warehouse but, lo and behold, they said they had no replacement Red Controllers in stock. They immediately processed a refund before I had a chance to respond to this email and, when I looked on their website, they had exactly the same item in stock - only now at the current price of £54.99. Not wishing to accept the £40.00 refund only to have to fork out another £15.00 on top merely to buy the same item back, I insisted on a replacement - as per their Ts & Cs - only to be told this is not possible - the refund had already been processed. I am now fighting them over getting the 'return of item' postage refunded which, again by their own Ts & Cs, they said they would do. Not what I would call a 'reputable' dealer - unless they are willing to put things right. Over to you, Game.com.

GAME's terrible customer service

I had some pre order items and one of the lots had issues due to my bank stopping payments without authorisation from me, i tried to log into my game account but couldn't because it was crashing every time i logged in, i tried to get in touch with game the same morning but for some very silly reason they have completely stopped all calls, you can now only get in touch by email and that apparantly will remain in the future as well. So i emailed them in regards to the situation, the next day i have no response still and my order has been cancelled, now nearly a week on i have an email that just simply reads "sorry if this has affected you". No effort to try correct the situation, just a worthless apology and that's it. I will be taking it further and also judging by their very low standards of customer service (already has been nearly rock bottom for years anyway) you can guarantee they won't be getting any money from me again, do your town a favour and shop local, you might have a little more to pay but if anything goes wrong it cuts the bull***t out and atleast you will be able to resolve the issue on the day either in person of on the phone, i can imagine GAME's email response time will be weeks and that's no good for anyone stuck in a rut.

Deliveries sometimes are too slow.

Most of the reviews are bots. My bought from store codes work but I recommend going in-store as they just take too long to deliver. There is more stock in the stores though. Most deliveries come quick though as long as you pay Express Delivery!

I was a bit concerned after reading reviews on here, but service was excellent and I received product today. I got a tracking number from Royal Mail a few days ago, and could track package.

Don’t waste your time!

I haven’t purchased or traded in anything at game since I bought my PS4 back in 2013 as I had such a terrible experience with game when I bought my PS4. However years had past so I thought I would give game another go, honestly wished I hadn’t bothered. I traded in a game online, and was going to use the money to purchase another game from game if all went well. The trade in process was easy, pop the game in a box, print the label and send to them so I did that all straight away. I got an email a couple of days later to say they had received my trade in and would email again when they had quality assured my item. This was over a week ago now and still not had the money for the game. I contacted their customer service (took me a while though as it kept failing on their website) and their customer service don’t know what’s happened with my trade in and I’m waiting for a further response from them about what’s going on and when I’ll receive the money. I understand we are living in a global pandemic, however other businesses are managing and keeping their customers informed of what’s going on. If they had emailed me saying “sorry things are taking longer than usual” than I would have left it there but they don’t, they just leave you wondering what’s going on and chasing them. Things haven’t improved, therefore won’t buy/trade in anything from game again!

I ordered an i-phone (as a birthday present) from GAME three weeks ago, received email on 9th April advising it was being shipped - still not received it. Website states delivery 2-3 days but there may be a slight delay. There has been more than a slight delay!!! Now the reply to my emails are the standard ones advising delivery may be between 7-14 days or 5 day delay. No one seems to have grasped that it has been nearly three weeks. Yes I have one very sad, disappointed 15 year old. And yes I am one angry mother
