Great models and superb help
Great quality models and superb help at the local store. Sure there are some details which they could improve (e.g. dropper bottles), but thats mostly personal preferences.
However.. A bigger issue for me, is the time it takes to deliver an order. It takes aaaages (+/- 2 weeks) to get from their depot in Lyon (*cough* lazy french ppl *cough*) to the Netherlands. Meanwhile orders at companies like ArmyPainter (Denmark) take only a 1/2 days. This is insane anno 2021!

Honestly some of the best customer service you can experience in the Southampton branch. 10/10 would recommend.
GW Is an mediocre and greedy company
GW Is an okay company.
The Warhammer + debacle aside. Games workshops constant use of the predatory f.o.m.o. marketing tactic along with a failure to deliver anything actually new is a big prpblem. They come out with game systems that they only support half of (horus heresy, all of the armies in 40k that haven't had a new codex in 3+ years) and they also fixate on raising prices while offering less and less in return. Sure inflation is a thing we all have to deal with but gw is pushing the envelope as far as they can as long as they have customers. Model detail is better than ever though so i do have to give them credit for that.

This is the second citadel carry case i have purchased, the first was from amazon(still waiting for my refund although they received this back over a week ago)decided to buy from workshop direct this time, same case £8 more, exactly same fault as first!!,looks like a manufacturing spray error as there is a light grey stripe in exactly the same place(looks like its been masked and letf in sun if you get me,it looks awful, looks second hand, has anyone else had this problem?will be contacting them tomorrow, cant see a replacement being any different as its a mirror image of the first fault,

Please ignore the entitled minority who have review bombed this company.
They are just angry because they can't have their free stuff and expect a business not to protect their IP, which is not only standard practise, but something they have an obligation to do. Games Workshop is a business, not a charity.
I have always enjoyed Games Workshop's products, and in my experience their customer service is first class. I have always received prompt responses to any issues I've had. I have been a customer of theirs for many years, and will continue to be.
Games Workshop is supportive of their community and fosters a great atmosphere amongst their fans, also condemning toxic behaviour from those seeking to cause trouble.
Ignore the vocal minority who are seeking to make this a negative space. In the end, they are the ones who will miss out.
Ignore the false reviews
Fantastic company who provide a brilliant level of customer service and unique products.
The many negative reviews are from people who are now angry they can no longer consume content based on the company's IP for free, and should be completely disregarded.
GW has a right to protect it's IP like any other business, and not have to suffer from others profiting off their employees hard work.
Warhammer+ TV Con
As a returning gamer, from decades previously I am shocked at the total disregard for customers and fans.
The Warhammer TV adverts and promises to what you actually get are worlds apart, not to mention to ask about a refund... which must be made in the first 14 days (including annual subscription) takes them over 10 days to answer
Content to be shown has been a lie, there is an afternoon of content for most fans, their replies to messages are text book cut and paste without a promise of looking into matters.
as a returning player, older with disposable income I will be purchasing a 3d printer and looking far and wide for anything other than this disgrace of a company products
Also ignore the happy clappy positive reviews from people who obviously work for them! who even writes a positive review like that in the real world!
Context of the negative reviews
I just want to write this review for anyone looking to get into the hobby to contextualize the review bombing you're seeing here. GW recently took action against creators who were using their IP. They clarified that content creators cannot use their IP with out a license and monetize it. This is fairly standard but the company had been very lax on enforcing it before. A small section of the community is now in an uproar because they can't monetize their fan fiction and is trying to convince people not to play the game because of it. This happens every time GW makes a big change but, if you stay out of the online community, you won't have to deal with the wailing. Most of us just enjoy painting our overpriced toy soldiers and battling our friends.
Poor quality control
Poor quality control, after years of buying/supporting GW products, they refused to replace sprues that arrived damaged. Third party retailer advised to contact GW directly, GW advised to contact third party retailer so gave up in the end, as each reply took about 10 days to get. Needless to say, this will be my last games workshop purchase moving forward.
Terrible company, good IP.
Stifling the creativity of their own communities, then demanding you buy their overpriced goods? They have the greed of EA, and the demented, overzealous addiction to Cease and Desist just like Viacom, Disney and Nintendo. Someone please buy the Warhammer IP because I guarantee you even a chimp could do a better job with it than Games Workshop.
Avoid at all costs.
Games Workshop has to have the worst online purchasing experience I have ever had. Tried to place two separate orders ...
Order 1 - I decided to cancel this order after it still hadn't dispatched nearly a week after placing the order. It took 5 weeks for me to get my refund.
Order 2 - Another week to send a store collection order for a very standard item.
Although the customer service reps were helpful individually, I had conflicting information and had to spend a lot of time on hold.
Avoid at all costs as a better, faster service with better prices is widely available elsewhere.
Scott.

I can no longer do any business with a company that treats its fans and customer in such a disrespectful manner
Promotion Fail
After running a promotion they decide I do not qualify in spite of nothing in the terms and conditons . Not because I returned the item I bought that was related to the promotion, oh no, I still have that. But because I returned a completely different item that had nothing to do with the promotion. the 1.9/5 rating should tell you all you need to know here.
Warhammer +. great if you can actually log in
Took out a 1 year sub for Warhammer plus, 3 days later I am still not able to log in, I have contacted Games Workshop 3 times now for this. We are looking into it is the answer , in the meantime I have paid for something I am not getting.
I know issues happen, but you can see if someone is subbed, how hard can it be to turn it on for the account.
Greedy company of evil
Greedy company with zero tolerance for customers, they do not care about customers of fanbase at all, so I can not recommend buying their overpriced products.
They are not able to replace a few overpriced books to its customer on a pre-order (change the same item to the the exactly same of a different language), so obviously they are NOT customer oriented.
The web stores are very user unfriendly, poorly designed and might lead you to buying a useless product just because a rich company can not afford a little redesign, or at least adding a few words to a goods description.
All this just makes me sad and unwilling to buy from them further, as those policies I find insulting. In the end, there is alot of fish in the sea...
Spineless and greedy.
A once great company focused on its fam base, sadly now is all about greed. They've split their community in half and killed a life long hobby for many people. Worthless, spinless company.
A greedy
A greedy, short-sighted company only kept aloof by the fanbase, the very same fanbase that they completely disregard, have no respect for and do not see as much more than cattle to earn money on.
GW is the company that tried to kill its own fanbase, even though its the only customers it got.
Also the products have hideuosly overpriced for a long while.
Long Live Battletech! Goodbye GW, may you just slither further from relevance and the light of the emperor.
Disrespectful to customers and community
Gamesworkshop once provided me and my friends with a hobby we all enjoyed. However, the company has changed considerably in the past few years. They have blocked independent content or "acquired" it to let it die. Furthermore they overreach their IP rights into creative assembly. With their latest changes they have openly redefined their target customers and exclude their core base from it.
@GW please consider the following: you are very slow and not diverse enough in your production (marines and more marines), you actively denounce your most loyal customers and outright kill any progress made that you cannot monetize directly. Your business practice is bad, you are alienating the fanbase that carried you into the mainstream and will act as the center pylon for your commercial success if you let them. Instead of destroying many potential primary revenue streams (cooperate instead) and thus actual secondary streams (i was introduced to the hobby by youtubers that produced better digital content than you ever have) you could be productive instead.
Support independent creators and dont let the hobby die.
Boycott GW
Boycott GW, buy third party, 3D print, new fan policy is going to add an additional paywall for new players further exasperating the issue with declining player numbers.
