Best Customer Service Experience in Ireland
I normally don’t leave reviews but I have to give credit where its due.
I have recently moved from North America to Ireland and I used to have my regular GameStop store in Chicago and an Ebgames (now known as GameStop) store in Toronto. The Dundrum location has become my go-to place and I have to say this, the customer service has been exceptional at that store on more than one occasion. The online customer service is phenomenal as well.
I had pre-ordered a Halo Edition Xbox Series X on the website and it was due for delivery around the time I was flying out. Darren (manager at the store), went above and beyond for me to make sure that the delivery was made on time before I flew out. Even though he was not obligated to do so since my order was made online, but the fact that he wanted to take care of his regular customer made me appreciate them even more. Upon my next visit to the store, he even confirmed if I received my console on time.
Right after Christmas, I had a similar experience with both Brid and Darren. I went into the store to trade in 3 Nintendo Switches, a PS4, and a whole bunch of games for another Xbox Series X for my son. The store was really busy and I even asked Darren if that is okay to do such a large trade-in, he said its fine and both him and Brid told my son and I to come back after 30 minutes. Sure enough, the transaction was completed within the timeframe mentioned and I was delighted with it.
Finally, I also have to mention the online customer service (the one you contact via your website). Although this was a while ago when the PS5 was launched, but both Elizabeth and Anthony looked into my pre-order since my email was incorrect on file and they made sure that my order got delivered on time.
I will not be taking my business elsewhere to any other company after so many great experiences.
Thank you very much Darren, Brid, Elizabeth and Anthony. I am hoping that GameStop gives you the recognition and also the pay raise that you all deserve for taking care of your customers by going above and beyond and not thinking they are just another transaction.
