I booked a slot on line for an assessment to replace my garage door. I received no confirmation, so I rang on the morning of the booking. The operator confirmed the booking and stated the technician would ring one hour before attending. I received no telephone call and no visit! I shall go to another company for a garage door.

Both Dawes doors and Garage door Care failed to show up.
I even phoned and asked if they were coming and was told yes, I would be phoned 1 hour before the engineer arrived.

Still waiting for a promised call back for work carried out in Nov 23, I had to get another company to complete repair despite paying in excess of £192!

I completely agree with this reviewer pasted below- I couldn’t put it better.
I was quoted £900, and then a failed motor for £1,300?? - I refused the quote and an honest company suggested I change the lithium battery at the base of the electronic roller garage door and the intermittent stop/start ceased! £3.50! All three companies share the same call centre operative. A total scam.

Bunch of rip off merchants, tried to charge our nan £900 for a control box, we had it done by another company for £200. The whole business is set up dishonestly to confuse the customer and TAX EVASION. DD-under Tog marketing so they can provide false accounts.

I rang 3 numbers for the above business's and the same person answers the phone. Quotes did not arrive by email. This is a racket.

Came to look at electric roller garage door as it was not stopping with remote control.Said the motor was failing.To be fair,the engineer found the fault promptly.When the office phoned me with a price for a replacement motor,it was quoted as £960!! The whole garage door set-up was £1065 so I declined the quote.
Repaired for one third of the price elsewhere! Don't rely on just one quote.

Before ordering didn’t check reviews, thanks god.
I had an amazing experience, called and asked to come anytime after 2pm.Got a call around 1pm saying that in one hour they will arrive. 2:30pm gentlemen Darrel arrived. Very quickly checked and quoted for the broken door, price was very competitive.

It took 1 hour to fix and door is working! He explained all the problems and showers what are cons and pros of this door.

Good Afternoon, John,

I trust you are well, and I am writing to advise you of our complete dissatisfaction of your company and its staff.

In essence my partner Mr ******** requested assistance with an electric garage door as the mechanism had failed. We contacted your offices on or around the 6th October and an engineer arrived on or about the 7th October. The engineer was called Chris Jones, and he “repaired the garage door” for the princely sum of £528.00 inc VAT.

Within 5 days the door failed with the same issue. We contacted your offices and after being on hold for an inordinate amount of time arrange for the engineer to attend on the 18th Oct, the engineer failed to attend and we received a recorded message stating that he would attend the following day i.e. the 19th October. Again, we waited at our home and received another recorded message to state that the engineer could not attend and would attend on the 20th October. The engineer finally attended and stated that the door required locking straps, and these would need to be ordered. He further advised that he would return on the 23rd to fit them. The engineer failed to arrive as promised and we called the office and again had to wait for 20 mins for a response. We did eventually speak to someone who stated they would call the engineer and ring us back. You company advised that the parts had arrived after the engineer had left and he would attend on the 24th of Oct. Again, we awaited in to no avail, and again had to call the offices and be on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. We were then advised that the parts were incorrect, and we were promised a call on Tuesday the 24th, still had no response or call.

We chased again on the 25th, long hold times, and gave up.

I did eventually speak to Kelsey today after being on hold for 15 mins, was at best rude and unhelpful. No apology for the long wait time stating they were busy, could not offer a time someone could call me back and stated she would email you, at this point I asked for your details and hers, she provided yours but refused hers. I asked for a copy of your complaints policy to be advised that emailing you was it!!

At this point John your company is at best unprofessional and has no customer service.

Could you kindly contact me on the following number to discuss or respond in writing on how you are to resolve this issue. Please note that the repair was paid for on credit card and we will raise this matter with the credit card company for a refund unless satisfaction can be assured.

Wish I had read the previous reviews, strangely the reviews on their website are all positive?!?
Booked an appointment for a service quote 10-1300hrs and they didn’t even bother to call let alone turn up! Having said that pleased they didn’t!
The company operate from a call centre and are not the local company they represent!!

I phoned for a quote for a service to my Garador rollermatic garage door they said someone would come and give me a quote a man turned up but said he could not give me a quote he said I will ring the office and they will give you a quote he sat in his van my phone rang and a woman said the quote for the door would be £145 I declined the qoute saying it was to expensive put the phone down it immediately rang again a man we will do the service for £75 all inclusive if the engineer in the van could do it now while he was there (I should have realised then that something was not quite right) l agreed to have the man in the van doing it there And then I left him to do the service after just 10 minutes he knocked and asked for the payment saying he was checked and oiled everything I paid him and of he went.Then I thought how could he do a proper service in 10 minutes so I went and had a look to see what he had done and found he had only looked at the cables and cleaned the plastic tube that covered them he had not removed the roller cover and checked the rollers and cleaned them he had not checked the chain on the motor or oiled it in fact he had done precisely nothing it was a complete rip off.I rang the office and asked to speak to the man who had given me the qoute to complain and ask them to return to do a complete proper service I was told he was not available but would get him to ring me he never has the company is completely dishonest the so called service engineers are not qualified and do not know how to service a roller door.SO AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAQUE OR YOU WILL PAY DEARLY FOR IT.
£75 for 10 minutes doing nothing ! What a RIP OFF!!!

I was sold high quality Henderson Doors,
I got low quality doors, incorrectly fitted, no documents,
When I complained, they were very unresponsive, rude and even though I asked for the completed forms, only sent uncompleted by email.
They damaged my garage brickwork, did not fit the brackets at the correct heights, did not seal the frame nor repair the damage they did.
When I complained, even under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act and Section 15 of the Consumer Rights Act, they threatened to come and rip out the door to reclaim it (Caylee - she needs a lesson in uk law).
They are a total joke, not local, and certainty not compliant with UK Law.

Absolute waste of my time!!!!

Booked online giving all info for a visit between (their time frame was 8am-1pm)... inconvenient but ok... HOWEVER, they didn't arrive! I had a call at 1.30pm...to they quote over phone (not even having read all the information I had taken the time to give them). Was not possible to quote for our door over the phone, yet wanted to charge £50 for a 'site visit'..... No thanks... plenty of places to get a free quote. Plus having seen the reviews feel we had a lucky escape!!!

What a waste of my time!

One Broken spring on up and over garage door. Quoted £345.00 to replace the whole spring box instead of just replacing the one broken spring. Way too expensive as I found replacement springs for around £60.00 on line.
I went to another local company who replaced the spring for just over £100.

Terrible service - do not use this company!!!
Waited in all afternoon on 3 separate occasions for a technician to arrive. My appointment was cancelled on every occasion. Admittedly, they did contact me each time to inform me of the cancellation, but the phone calls came in the early evening - not productive when you've been sat in waiting for their arrival since 12pm each time.

Quick response on phone and fitter arranged for following day. On time and explained work needed. Fitted new spring bar quickly, efficiently and cleared up well. Would deal with them again.

I called Garage Door Care for an assessment and quote for my electric garage door which wasn’t rolling up without manual assistance. The person I spoke to on the ‘phone was friendly and personable and arranged a Fitter to come out the next day. I was told that I needed a new Roller Motor as the old one was on its way out. He said he had one on the van so could do the job right away. The fitter said that Head Office would call me about price which they did. I was quoted £1300 incl VAT. I said that was way too much so was then asked what I expected to pay. I didn’t respond with a figure so was on hold for 10 seconds whilst the guy “spoke to his manager”. He came back with a revised “one off” price of £900 incl VAT. I declined and the Fitter left having written out a quote for me for £1100 ex VAT. I was livid at prices quoted, knowing that these motors cost no more than £145 at retail and £85 on eBay. I called another company who were excellent and have done the job for £250 incl VAT. All I’ve been thinking about is that some poor souls have clearly paid the money Garage Door Care are after, otherwise they wouldn’t quote it. It’s disgraceful that they basically are so willing to rip people off. Stay well clear and ignore their “Price Match Promise” on their website and their 4.3 Star Review Rating “this month”; they’re just a bunch of chancers.

Called out this company as I broke the front plastic handle on my garage door. £15 call out fee which seemed reasonable. They came, criticised every aspect of the door's fitting and fitted a new handle. Fee £234 for a bit of plastic and 10 minutes of an engineer's time. Completely disgraceful. Would never use this company again. Avoid like the plague.

Called out as garage door failed to close and looked partially collapsed and I needed fixing double quick. Came round promptly £15+ VAT call out fee and from about 10 yards away said he can't touch our door, because it was fitted by a bunch of cowboys. Took a closer look, whistled between his teeth and started slagging off every aspect of the door and fittings and telling me that unfortunately for us we'd never be able to get hold of the company who fitted it, never mind get them out to repair it. Then went onto explain how they could fit a new garage door at some 3 times the price, about £2500, we had paid for our one. Looked absolutely shocked when I explained that I had already been in touch with the original company and already had a provisional date for a repair and that I was just enquiring to see if it could be done quicker as the weekend was looming. Told me to try them then and to not let them know that we had called out this mob. Fitting company came around on the Monday, fixed it in 15 minutes at a charge of £45.00 inclusive. All that had gone wrong was the internal cover had fallen down and jammed the door open. I leave you to draw your own conclusions
