APPALLING!!!

Would give NO stars if I could!! Appalling customer service (if you can even call it that!) Mix up with a gift subscription which I had to cancel on 31 December. Bank details were provided on 6 Jan (acknowledged by them on 7 Jan) and was promised a full refund within 7-10 working days. Still nothing received (10 Feb)!! Have now called them three times and was told this was being escalated to a manager (after being told the refund was processed on 7 Jan but not being able to tell me what account it was paid to - it certainly wasn't MY account!!) Just about to start a claim through small claims court as I am so fed up with being fobbed off! DO NOT TAKE OUT SUBSCRIPTION WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Avoid Gardeners World Magazine Subscription

Avoid! Appalling service. Paid for six magazines and only received five. Subscription then didn’t automatically renew. Telephoned Gardeners World customer services (located overseas by the sound of it) and they couldn’t have cared less! Shame.

Beware - Misleading Charging and Poor Refund Handling

I had a very troubling experience with Immediate Media Company Limited (the subscription administrator for BBC Gardeners’ World magazine). They charged my credit card more than once and refund timings were unclear and inconsistent, causing confusion and financial inconvenience. Their billing practices felt misleading — charging a renewal only to refund days later — which resulted in having to cancel and destroy my credit card to prevent further unauthorised charges.
Despite multiple attempts to get clarity from customer service, the communication was slow and left me unsure whether refunds were processed correctly. The lack of transparency and apparent billing errors caused unnecessary stress and disruption.
I strongly warn others to be cautious when subscribing with this company — make sure you monitor your statements closely, and be aware their subscription system and refund handling appear to have significant issues.

I experienced poor customer service

I experienced poor customer service. After I reported several broken links, they blocked my account and cancelled my deliveries. However, they failed to cancel the direct debit or issue a refund for the magazines I had paid for.
