Gardens of the Sun Reviews 

My partner and I ordered custom silver engagement and wedding rings from Gardens of the Sun for our wedding. We loved the look initially, but after nearly a year of normal daily wear, we're both disappointed.

Both rings came in at under 2mm thick (mine barely 1.5mm). As a result, both have bent out of round despite no rough wear. For custom rings costing several hundred dollars each, we expected much sturdier craftsmanship—especially in silver, where 3mm thickness would have added significant strength at minimal extra cost.

On top of that, the half-round exterior and flat interior make them uncomfortable for all-day wear. A comfort-fit (rounded inside) band would have been a far better choice.

We've reached out to see if they'll stand behind their work and remake the rings with a thicker, comfort-fit band. I'll update this review based on how they handle it. For now, I'd caution future buyers to specifically request thickness and comfort-fit details before ordering custom silver pieces.

My mom sent me a pair of aquamarine/silver earrings as a gift. The earrings are lovely. I've had them since March. The packaging and delivery really stood out - the note from my mom was hand-written by someone at the company, the whole experience of opening a gift from Gardens of the Sun was really sweet.

I was in Bali and had the chance to check out the new showroom everyone there was incredibly friendly. They helped me find the perfect pieces for my partner, including pearl, sapphire, and her birthstone. What Gardens of the Sun are doing with their ethical jewellery is truly inspiring. If you get the chance, I highly recommend reading their backstory, it really sheds light on what it means to buy from an ethical, B Corp-certified jewellery company like Gardens of the Sun. I brought several pieces home for my partner, and she absolutely loved them. :)

Ordered a necklace online and wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out even better than I hoped. It arrived quickly, the packaging was super cute, and the piece itself is gorgeous. Plus, it feels good knowing it’s all made ethically. Will definitely be back for more.

I love my engagement ring from them but they are trying to pass off yellow gold that had been dipped as white gold. My local jewler confirmed this when I got it resized. I guess places will do this when one color of cold is not moving enough. Bummed because it will keep turning yellow and I'll have to get it dipped but I do love the ring. For a 1,000$ dollar ring it should be the metal that it advertises it is. Super sketchy to me.

Best customer service and jewellery
I had a hidden gems necklace with raw apatite, and also a matching ring, custom made, and the whole experience was just such a pleasure! The staff were amazing to deal with and super helpful, making sure they created exactly what I wanted. The packaging the jewellery arrived in is beautiful and sustainable, and I love the company's ethics around the sourcing of their materials, fair pay for workers, planting trees and many other initiatives. The jewellery itself is absolutely stunning! The necklace itself is beautiful and dainty, and the pendant is amazing! The stones are so beautiful, and they are beautifully set. I am also really impressed with how well the ring is made especially given that the raw stones are set right into the band of the ring. I will definitely be back for more!

I bought an engagement ring for my fiancé from this company in August 2020. When the ring arrived, my fiancé was very careful with it- she took it off to do dishes, to exercise, and even took it off for work (40+ hours a week). Only 2 weeks after she started to wear it, one of the side stones was lost. We sent the ring back to the company, and they were very resistant to reimburse us the $40 we spent on shipping. When we finally got the ring back more than 4 months after sending it for repair, it lost a side stone AGAIN only a few months months later. I was then told that while the goldsmith was supposed to take the stones out and build the ring from scratch to be more secure, they actually just popped a new side stone into the hole and sent it back to us. The company advised us to send the ring to them directly for the second repair job (a complete rebuild this time) and to not insure the ring and to mark the value as less than $50 so they could avoid paying Indonesian Customs. I informed the company that I would not be doing that because it is illegal and also because I was not comfortable sending a $2000 ring totally uninsured. I requested that the company instead take whatever money they would have spent repairing the ring (from shipping the ring from to and from Indonesia, within Indonesia to and from the goldsmith in another city, procuring the new side stone, and whatever they would have paid the goldsmith for the repair) and send us that amount so we could get a local jeweler to rebuild the ring from scratch. They replied that they would give us just $100 for the repair. When I told them that this amount seemed unfairly low given all we had been through and that the repair would be costing us much more than that, they stopped replying to my emails. I wish I had never done business with this company. Instead of this being an object associated with the joy of our new engagement, it has become associated with this horrible company. I am looking forward to taking the center stone to a local jeweler and starting fresh, hopefully with a ring that stands the test of time.

Extremely poor craftsmanship. An independent jeweller valued the ring I purchased at less than 8% of the price paid citing extremely poor craftsmanship and an irreparably damaged stone.

Disgraceful customer service with ridiculous delays between responses to no satisfactory resolution after several months.

Would not recommend this company to anyone.
