Bought a 700 Euro video doorbell system and I got a non functional unit and poor customer service
Bought a 700 Euro Vimar video doorbell system from a authorized Vimar distributor and removed the previous model and went through all the trouble to hook the new one up only to have no boot up at the inside display. The distributor insisted I bring it all in to them which required disconnecting all of it and leaving wires hanging at my outside gate, the panel, and inside display wall. I had to travel an hour away to them in both directions and they told me they would contact me after 1/2 hour when they did a bench test. They didn’t. I messaged them the next day and they replied many hours later that the display needed to go back to the manufacturer because the display was never programmed. Why they didn’t exchange for a new one rather than inconvenience me is frustrating. Still no idea when I will get it back or if it will work, and while I have asked if they will test it before returning it they haven’t responded at all. Not very professional or customer service oriented at all. Not happy customer.
