Misleading and non delivery
It is not clear that you have to pay import duties and taxes, and only find out on delivery.
Also 3 times I have been told delivery is coming forcing me to stay home, only for it not to turn up. And still not delivered and 14 days after first notified date

First of all, I would like to sincerely apologise for the experience you have had with this order.
Unfortunately, this shipment has been affected by several separate issues. In addition to the import duties applicable to UK shipments following Brexit, the delivery has experienced repeated delays with the courier. To make matters worse, one of the boxes was damaged during transit, resulting in a broken bottle.
We have remained in direct contact throughout the process and are continuing to monitor the second shipment, which is still in transit. We are committed to resolving the matter completely and ensuring that any damage is fairly compensated.

I have been a regular customer for many years…
I have been a customer for many years now but when my last order arrived, the white wine that I ordered arrived in Plastic Bottles,I felt I could not drink/ enjoy the wine from a plastic bottle I asked Garrafeira if I could return them, they refused to take them back stating it was in the description of the wine I had ordered. I doubled checked this and found that it was not and after pointing this out to them they still refused.I found their customer service to be non customer friendly, with the only advice was to drink the wine fast as the recommended storage time in plastic is 3–6 months( they could not tell me how months the wine was already in the plastic bottle. My only conclusion is when they get your money they just don’t care. I will not be ordering any more from Garrafeira after this experience . Daniel.

Following our recent correspondence, I understand that the main issue was the misunderstanding regarding the PET packaging. While the product supplied was the same product that was ordered and identified on our website as the PET version, I fully accept that the abbreviation may not have been immediately clear to every customer. Your comments have already prompted us to review how this information is presented to make it clearer in the future.
Regarding your request to return only the PET bottles, we explained that, unfortunately, we were unable to arrange a partial return because the correct product had been supplied and the associated transport and handling costs would make this unfeasible.
Although we could not offer the solution you had hoped for, I sincerely regret that this affected your confidence in us and I appreciate the time you took to discuss the matter with me directly.
