The car was sold with faulty air con, took it back and on the first occasion it was admitted that the air con compressor was faulty and that one was on order .It was taken back, for another day, only to be informed that the wrong part had been delivered and that the correct part would be ordered .Once it arrived the car would be booked in for repair again. On collecting the car it was apparent that damage had been caused to the edge of the drivers door whilst in their care, no doubt by being knocked by a tool or something as chips had been taken out of the paintwork. When pointed out to grashion we were informed that it would be sorted out once the "Paint man" was available. When informed that they would have to wait a few weeks for the air con compressor to arrive I informed them that DVS parts (approximately 150 yards from them) could acquire one the next day. When asked for the price quoted they said that they had to make a profit on their car sales. Eventually the air compressor was replaced and on checking it was obviously from a breakers/scrap yard and absolutely filthy/dirty thereby detracting from the under bonnet appearance of the car, indeed lowering it. As far as the damage caused to the drivers door, some nine months later, nothing has been done and no contact has been made as to when it could be done. Coronavirous no doubt will be used to take part in this. Not for all this time as a bodywork repair workshop almost joins on to their business property. In the first weeks of purchasing the car the battery was flat and needed charging every couple of days when asked if this was covered under the warranty given and/or the extended warranty purchased the response was that the battery was classed as a consumable item and would not be covered and that it would not cost a lot to us to replace. The damage/air compressor cheap way out replacement has prompted this score. Top money was paid and if the aforementioned incidents had not occurred, which should not have, then the review would have been a better one.
