We rented a cottage close to Abergavenny for the family to celebrate a Golden Wedding. The kitchen etc was as new to us as it was to Jon but Jon was very relaxed arrived on time and sorted out all of the preliminaries in a relaxed manner. Once we were all introduced, Jon set too and produced a truly delightful three course meal. The pulled lamb starter was a sign of things to come with every plate cleared. The main 'meat feast' was cooked to perfection with compliments from all guests. By the time pudding had been consumed all were very very satisfied. The process worked perfectly and Jon even did most of the washing up during the meal, just leaving the dishwasher to complete it's cycle as he left. I have every confidence in recommending Jon for a celebration meal that you will not only enjoy but will also have all the pressure taken away so that you can enjoy the evening

Jon cooked for 17 of us for my Wife's 40th Birthday. The food he prepared was sublime. There wasn't a morsel of food to be scrapped off anyones plates. Thanks again Jon it really was 1st class and everyone was very impressed with the food.

Had an amazing night at Jon’s new residency restaurant at Dareshack, Bristol.
The food is of a very high standard and each dish is delicious.

We used Jon’s drop and go service for a 30th dinner party! The food was incredible, too quality ingredients, super simple cooking instructions and amazing taste! I would highly recommend everyone loved it!

I have ordered a few meals from Jon over this past year, every one has been absolutely delicious and the service impeccable!
The latest dish I ordered was a customised birthday meal for my daughter’s 11th birthday. She wanted to try a burger she’d seen on Jon’s Instagram page. Jon obliged her request and made us 4 sumptuous double cheese burgers with triple cooked chunky chips (well double cooked and the final cook was in my oven, which was the best way we devised to make them as tasty as possible). Everything was prepared ready for assembly. He even went as far as to provide 2 different types of buns, brioche and regular just in case. The salad parts were in separate containers so they could be kept crisp and fresh and Jon even made some aioli for us which was absolutely delicious! As always the delivery was prompt and he kept in contact throughout. I have absolutely no faults or criticisms to make and highly recommend Gastronomy by Jon to anyone who is trying to make any occasion special, whether it’s during lockdown or not! I for one cannot wait to have Jon cater a dinner party in my home when all these restrictions are lifted.

A tremendous experience from start to finish. From initial engagement, through dietary needs to arriving in my kitchen and cooking our full menu - it was a joy to work with Jon. The evening - a three course meal was absolutely delightful, packed with texture and flavour and delivered from pot to plate to table with such delicacy and professionalism. Having Jon chef in my kitchen was an amazing experience and I highly recommend him and his services. A memorable experience for all to enjoy!

Excellent "Home Chef" evening for my sons 18th. Jon prepared and served a wonderful 2 course asian feast that we had planned out earlier with his help and advice. The food was delicious and you could tell he only uses the best quality ingredients. Tasting all the flavours. It was so much fun having Jon prepare and cook the food in front of us , a perfect extra special dinner party for my son. ( Jon even washes up ) .We would highly recommend Jon and his private Chef service. Will be booking him again. My son thought it was fantastic that we had such a restaurant style meal in our own home by a private chef .

We recently sampled Jon's menu during 'lockdown' as we were trying to support out local shops and services during this difficult period. However, Jon is one of a very few we returned to because his meals are so good! Beautifully presented with details of how to cook/reheat, so tasty and very, very reasonable. "His lasagna is a rival to mine" (from son!) An added bonus is Jon is also a very personable young man and we will continue to order his superb meals when normality returns!

Jon cooked a lovely lunch for 6 of us at work and I have to say it was absolutely delicious would highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

Jon did a fantastic meal for me and two friends. It was fresh light and delicious- the Parmesan crisp was a really nice finishing touch! Dessert was indulgent but really well balanced to the main course. I’d highly recommend it to anyone!

Jon arrived at our home fully prepared and cooked a fantastic three courses for 10 people. Each course was delivered on time and was top notch. All commented on how nice it was to have this done for them and the quality was amazing. Will use again.

I wanted to treat two of my friends to a meal, and we didn't want to be subjected to the usual restaurant affair. Jon arrived at my home and cooked a light starter, filling main and scrumptious dessert. All were presented with such flair that we didn't want to eat any of it, but when we did, there were bursts of flavour that worked well on each dish. The stress of cooking (delicious tasting food) was eliminated while I was free to catch up with my dinner guests. The bonus was that I didn't even have to wash up after it all! Thoroughly recommend this service, and will absolutely use again in the future!
