I lost $37,379 due to REEF delisting on Gate.io without any notification!

Review:
I am extremely disappointed with Gate.io. I had an open futures position in the REEF token, and it was suddenly delisted without any prior notification. I did not receive any emails, push notifications in the Gate app, SMS, or any other form of warning from the platform.

As a result, my futures position was liquidated, and I suffered a major financial loss of $37,379.

This is completely unacceptable for a trading platform that claims to be secure and user-friendly. Users must be properly informed in advance of any delisting decisions, especially when dealing with leveraged positions that can be force-closed.

Gate.io’s failure to notify me directly resulted in this loss, and so far, I have received no compensation or even a serious response from their support.

I strongly urge others to be extremely cautious when using this platform. I also request Gate.io to review my case seriously and take responsibility for the lack of communication that led to this significant damage.

Thank you for your response. However, I must strongly object to your claim that proper notice was given regarding the delisting of REEF futures.

As a responsible trader, I routinely monitor my email, in-app notifications, and account alerts. Yet I received no email, no SMS, and no pop-up or in-terminal warning regarding this delisting — which ultimately led to the complete liquidation of my position without a chance to react.

Simply posting a notice somewhere on your website without ensuring that affected users are individually notified does not constitute proper and fair communication — especially for something as serious as delisting a futures instrument with leverage exposure.

I kindly request that you provide:
• The exact date and direct link to the notice you claim was published.
• An explanation of why no user-specific alert was issued to my account despite having an active open position on REEF futures.

I suffered a loss of $37,379 USD due to this delisting and lack of communication. If no satisfactory resolution is offered, I will escalate this matter further to relevant financial regulatory authorities (such as CIMA or FCIS), as well as continue publicizing this case to protect other users from similar experiences.

The app is now misbehaving

The app is now misbehaving. Whenever I try to input sms and Gmail codes, it will close and reopen. They should fix it up. Also in the spot trading, when I try to buy a coin, it will take too long after the market starts fluctuating downwards and yet the order still remains pending. Scammers , bad customer service

Scammers and bad customer service. I have an issue with PLA token since Feb.2024 till now , spot and withdrawal had been freezed by them , so my PLA token stuck, the token has been migrated to PDA on Binance but Gate.io did not migrate or allowed withdrawal, every time I contact them they do not solve any thing.

Getting the feedback they truly deserve

Lol, I had to laugh when I saw only one star reviews when I looked them up.

They're complete crooks. Or at least the people who configured the site's settings. Everytime I tried to send my crypto to a valid address and on the correct network, I never had time to verify myself by at least two methods before it timed out. I have absolutely no doubt that it was designed like that.

And the last time I tried to login, I was told I would have to go through the whole KYC process again. WTF?

They made a bot for trading and when you fall as a rat and you want to burn your scam coins they said that you can't take your keys !!! You add money and trade for a fake bot they attend that's it's yours but when you ask for it they said you can't it's sensitive 😂😂😀 you can't get the bot you own and pay from and pay fees for them from it + they are the highest fees in withdraw or deposit.. avoid them guys HIGHEST FEES FOR WITHDRAW OR DEPOSIT.

I used to do regularly (every 1-2 weeks) small exchange and withdrawal from this exchange maximum of $70-80 worth.

Last time, they haven't processed my withdrawal, but instead of asking facial recognition and full kyc, again...

I got pssd off, want to close my account permanently. However, the chatbot given 'cancel account' link doesn't work. No other way to close account.

In the ticket section, asap i mentioned i want to cancel account, they've stopped answering me!!!

My little recommendation to these lovely people: If you want to play chinese commie games, then move and do it China!!!

#1513242. gate.io allowed a hacker to change my email address and withdraw 2053$ without notifying me of change of email. They have not explained to me how the hacker deleted my KYC verified account & quickly transfered the funds. I suspect it may be an inside job & they are trying to cover up. Once again, gate.io mess up. Ticket #1512055

2nd time having to deal an issue with gate. First one made me lose around 2500 USD that time.
Withdrawal made on 25.03.2025. Few minutes later they said blockchain confirmed with a txid.
Nothing received in my wallet. When checking , there s no information in the blockchain explorer about the txid they send . I contacted the live support and spent a lot of time explaining to finally being forced to open a ticket.
The 2 1st replies I get from my ticket is that it s blockchain confirmed on their side so they already sent the token. And they immediatly closed my ticket after the 2nd answer. But how the hell can you say it is blockchain confirmed when there s absolutely no data of the txid in the blockchain and then forcing the ticket to be closed.
Until now, no update.
Gate has the most poor customer support among every single exchange Im using. I do not recommend.

10 days later, gate closed my ticket again. They said that the blockchain of the token has issues. But guess what? they keep the withdrawal of that token open ans let everyone that made withdrawal lose their money
Definitely the worst of the worst support among every single exchange.
Others exchanges help you when you have issues even it s your own mistake. gate does not help you even if its their mistakes.
