Bad support and scam from the exchange
The work of technical support is just a complete disgrace, they can not answer you for 2 weeks and that's it, you need to knock on their door yourself, although the system can simply ban you because of any deposit (as happened to me). Why should I write and remind support that my ticket exists because of a system error? At the moment, my balance is blocked and I can not do anything with it and I still sit without normal answers, for the first time in 2 weeks they wrote to me and demanded to write TXID transactions. Seriously? At that time, I did not even know why I was blocked by the system, and you were too lazy to look at the deposit account history TXID transactions? I wrote and what? Again ignored, about a week passed and I have to knock again. It all looks very much like the exchange just scammed me, although I have been using it for a very long time. My ticket number: 1449004 and 1272618.

Update: My coins was released after 6 months, try by sending email with all details to Support at mail.gate.io , regulatory at gate.io , business at gate.io , lin at gate.io , han at gate.io , the CEO email look like it make them wakeup.
Thanks to the good peoples that work at Gate.io (yes there is good persons inside) I closed my account after this story. Trust is the most valuable currencie, Gate.io need to get it back quickly.

Awful way to do business!
Only use this crappy exchange if you want to get robbed by them. They will take your deposits but then refuse to let you withdraw for any number of reasons. So far they have denied me access to three assets I have in my account, each of which tallies up to be a lot of crypto. I am out at least $3000 of MY own money that they won’t let me have access to. I have tried every which way to get help - email, chat, twitter, their Reddit moderator, calling, FB group, and they are of no help anywhere. They give you the run around, neglect you, and ask the same questions over and over even after you’ve answered repeatedly. They request the dumbest and sometimes impossible things (ie for proof of account ownership, they wanted to know the exact date and time I last signed in and exactly the number of coins I deposited and what trading pair I used and exactly how much it’s worth ATM, etc etc.). This is all just the tip of the iceberg. They are absolute crooks and idiots. Stay far FAR away from Gate IO! I’d give anything to file a class action suit against them. To Gate.IO if you read this: I have tried to get help from your team 15 times already and they never come through for me. My last ticket # is 1454848. I need to get my crypto out NOW, and even though I am currently in a non-restricted country (Japan) all I have is a U.S. id. I should be able to access my account from Japan even though I’m a U.S. citizen. It should be ILLEGAL the way you handle your members and their money!! I will take some sort of legal action and file complaints with the SEC if you don’t allow me to get MY crypto out of gate io. I demand you help me get my coins out. I need to bypass KYC for just one hour so that I can withdraw and be done with you AWFUL company forever!

Tried to send HBAR to another platform - gate.io changed the MEMO somehow so this did not work and was refunded back to gate.io.
However the refund is not showing on my account / gate.io but is showing on the chain.
After contacting customer services multiple times - I am still yet to receive any refund and all they can say is ‘be patient’ or ‘we have escalated’ but nothing actually happens - you never hear from them again.

Gate.io isa fraudulent and a thief company
I invested in crypto assets and they made me pay 173 EUR for assets worth of 146 EUR, no fees or anything showing that this will be charged for a reason.
After a few converts from an asset to another Gate was getting my money like hell, now I am left at 103 EUR trying badly to withdraw but can’t because there is a 24 hour ban.
The customer support and emails are not worth even trying they reply with some quick texts that have in their PCs.
“We checked with the department” and nothing more.
Please do not use Gate.io or else you will loose huge amount of money.
All this happened in 1 day.

I never set-up 2FA, now it keeps me out of my account because it asks for 2FA. When trying to "reset" 2FA, they ask you to do a KYC first, BUT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN THE KYC PAGE.

Refused to change my e-mail
they refused to change my e-mail address and now I can't access my funds! I provided them with all the required information and did it multiple times (5) across 6 months and they always just delay and advised me to start the process again from the beginning. In the end after dozens of requests they finally told me that they are unwilling or unable to change my e-mail and I should contact my provider. Very frustrating experience and extremely unprofessional and shady company!

Extremely incompetent support team
I have completed KYC on my account, and gate let me fund my account. Now when I try to do on-chain transaction, they decided to block my withdrawal and additional verification, that is ridiculous. I submitted Ticket #1255091
The ask was to make a photo with written not, card and passport. I did it in 2 photos as I am human wiht 2 hands, after another 24 passed I get reply that I need to hold all 3 in one photo, this almost feels like bullying already. I did that 24 hours ago
And today, 24 hours later, I get a mail from helpdesk that they did not hear from me in 72 hours, and how do I want to resolve the issue. So my ticket is not getting response and support is not even aware of my messages sent on the sites ticketing system.
