Waited a month (UPDATE: SIX WEEKS!), still no package.
There aren't any reviews in English yet, so I figured I'd leave one in case there are any other ex-pat artists out there looking for a place to buy art supplies online. For as long as this company uses GLS, you should definitely keep looking.
I placed an order on May 2nd, fully anticipating that with the ongoing health crisis, I would likely wait a while. As such, I have been patient. According to tracking, my package arrived at a GLS depot less than 300 km from my house on May 14th and has not moved since then (it is now the 31st). I have not been able to contact GLS as their phone lines are constantly occupied, and even after contacting Le Géant des Beaux-Arts, I still have not received my order or any kind of notice about why it is taking so long. They said they would contact GLS, but after that... nothing.
Unfortunately, I do actually need these supplies for my work, and I cannot afford to wait any longer. Given that my household has received lots of packages from other suppliers, including several international orders that were placed weeks after this one, I just can't think of a good excuse for running a business this way. I can only hope that they will send me a refund with more urgency than their products.
Ultimately I blame GLS, which is quite frankly the most shameful excuse for a delivery service I have ever encountered. It is hard to understand how they have not been shut down for fraud, especially seeing how common these sorts of reviews are on TrustPilot and Google. As long as Le Géant des Beaux-Arts uses GLS, my search for an online art supply store continues...
