ABSOLUTELY AWFUL COMPANY!!!

This company is a JOKE! Do NOT put your money with this HORRIBLE platform. I have been LOCKED OUT of my ACCOUNT for OVER a month now, BECAUSE they think SOMEONE ELSE is using my account. I have had to SEND SO MANY ID verification's to them with NO avail. THEIR SECURITY is 10 TIMES WORSE than ANY bank I have EVER had. AS SOON as I get BACK INTO my account I am TAKING EVERY CENT out of it & CLOSING My ACCOUNT PERMANENTLY. STAY FAR AWAY from these INEPT & NEUROTIC people!!

Requested €9 withdrawal back to my account on 28 December ( 8 days ago) and it's still processing. Customer service doesn't exist. Sounds like a scam

Gemini often gives incorrect or incomplete answers.

This company exists only so scammers can have easy access to prey. If the US had a government, companies like this would not be doing business here. If you are contacted by someone from this company it is definitely a scam, hang up, run, DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFO. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR ANY REASON.

I was one of the lucky ones. My account was frozen upon creation, before I had money in the system. Why? Who knows. I followed all their verifications, sent pictures and proof of identity, etc. At first I wasn’t too concerned, figured it was just an extra security thing. But it’s been almost a month the account has been frozen. I can’t even close the account because it’s frozen, and trust me I will be closing the account. Customer support doesn’t respond, and the actual recommended way to get a resolution is to take your submission number and go to Reddit in hopes that a Mod will escalate your ticket to… whoever actually resolves the issue? Judging by the amount of people engaging with the Reddit, this is a disgustingly common occurrence. Stay far away from this company, and if you weren’t as lucky as me and have money in the system make sure you file a complaint with your states financial services department. Gemini has lost lawsuits over this before, maybe enough complaints will get it shut down.

I wish I would have looked here first. Complete scam I've dealt with a lot of exchanges this one was the worst by far. I had a bad experience with coinbase as well, I would rate coinbase higher than Gemini.

I filled out all the information, it never asked me for additional information. I double checked every single email they ever sent me they never inquired for more information. I've put in three or four tickets since I've started the service about a month ago one has been answered saying "go #@%^ yourself" the other tickets are still open I'm going to cancel my account I could not be more disappointed.

Very Disappointing Experience – Use With Caution

As an avid crypto investor, I was excited when this card launched. I use credit cards for nearly all expenses to earn rewards and pay balances off monthly. I was approved for a $15,000 limit and moved several recurring payments to the card right away.

Unfortunately, the experience quickly became frustrating.

Slow Payment Processing
Unlike every other credit card I own, payments take 7–10 days to post. Even though funds are withdrawn from my bank immediately, the available credit does not update for days. This left my card maxed out and unusable despite having already made payments. If you don’t pay far in advance, expect issues.

Poor Customer Support
Customer service is email-only. There used to be a phone number, but that was discontinued. Responses take days—sometimes weeks—and are often generic and unhelpful.

Frequent Transaction Declines
Despite having an 820 credit score and a near-zero balance, larger purchases are regularly declined. Examples include:

$1,600 insurance payment

$3,200 auto repair

I was told I could approve large transactions via notification, but I never received one—only denials. This makes the card unreliable for meaningful purchases and suitable only for small, everyday spending.

The Only Positive: Rewards
The rewards are the only reason I’ve kept the card. Otherwise, the usability falls far below expectations.

I wasn't surprised to find overall negative reviews about Gemini. I couldn't open the app because it failed to send a sign-in link to email or mobile.

Worst card and customer service. They do not want you to use their card, as several purchases have been declined due to fraud suspicion! It’s frustrating to say the least…their loss as I no longer keep it as my default form of payment.

This place is a scam!
The referral program, I referred 2 people and the claimed I had a restriction on my account and would not pay out either myself or my referrals. Also received a incentive email to deposit money and receive $20 , that they claimed “the email was sent on accident…
Now the have a “security hold” on my account and will not release my money!

I had so many negative experiences with these idiots I don't even know where to start. Their customer service is HORRIBLE!! No phone contact at all. Only email. It's never the same person. It takes days to get anything done. There is zero accountability.
I got so fed up with their nonsense I move all my $$$ elsewhere. I suggest you all do the same.

Is Gemini Trust trustworthy or a scam? Gemini requires even your NFC National Identification or Passport and pretends that you will receive a bank card which is why I signed up. I thought getting Crypto back every time I used it was a good way to enter the crypto scene. Months later, no card and not even any answers from them using their Support Center. You just turn round and round and round. Gemini really seems like a total scam. This is why I am informing the relevant agencies of my country as to this apparent scam that collects identities.

Lost access to my passkey, which Gemini now requires for account security, and submitted a customer support request to have them remove my passkey so I can create a new one. I provided my drivers license, a handwritten note with the date and provided code, and a selfie holding the note and my license. It has been over 3 weeks with no resolution and no communication. I have followed up via email multiple times with no response and no resolution. This is by far the worst customer support system I have dealt with and is utterly unacceptable for a financial services company. There is no option to get a live person to assist and no way to live-chat customer support. The only chat option is a useless bot. If I was running this company (Winklevoss Twins) I would be absolutely horrified at how bad my customer support operation is.

I set up a new Gemini account. I wanted to do a test run of staking & unstaking MON (Monad), as it had a generous up to 12% APR. I eventually wanted to do automatic reoccurring purchase/staking. After a few days of staking 100,000 MON, I unstaked the token. Turn around time says 4 days for MON. Only about half was unstaked. Everyday I get on to check the remaining staked balance, it tells me it’s being initiated on the current date that I’m on. I’ve sent two help requests with generic replies that they’re looking into it with no follow up response. They basically are keeping over 59,000 MON worth over $1,200 hostage. Now I’m hesitant about doing the automatic purchases/staking. Not a good look for Gemini for a new user like myself.

I just started using Gemini about a month ago. I had no issues with multiple wire transfers into my account, until Monday this week. I wired a larger sum of money and it never arrived. I used the exact same information as every other transaction. I reached out to customer support and was told they were working on it on Tuesday. It is now Friday and still have not heard a word back. At this point I have huge concerns about the safety of any transaction on their platform and their ability to secure any monetary transaction. I sent them all the information about the wire transfers including account information and they still do not respond. If you are looking to invest I would strongly suggest you go to another trading platform so you avoid similar issues

I deposited a small amount of crypto to try trading on Gemini. The exchange is complicated and slow.

Anyway, my problem with Gemini is that they won't let me withdraw my crypto. I've reached out several times to CS but they are not answering and so my funds are stuck.

I've been in crypto since '17 and my experience GEMINI IS REALLY REALLY BAD: no communication at all and money is stuck inside the exchange.

My advice to any crypto user: AVOID GEMINI!!!

Gemini gad trouble verifying me. It seemed like I only could use the laptop to trade.They could not verify me when I used the app on my cell phone. I had no issues with none of the platforms. I can’t trade using phone in my app ever because I couldn’t get pass the verification process. I emailed them multiple times but no one attempted to help me. I am thinking of withdrawing me $$$. Be careful with the high fees as well everyone.

LRC went on a minor tear and suddenly, Gemini was not allowing me to make a purchase of it. What's up with that? I ended up making the same purchase on another platform and ended up PROFITING. On another note, They advertised a 12% APY on MON. After staking MON (or attempting to), Gemini held it for weeks while it showed I had $0 in my account. They kept dismissing my emails with generic responses and would never get back to me. The MON was then randomly back in my account with no update from Gemini. However, they didn't pay any of the interest they promised.

For whatever reason after my complaints to them, I suddenly found a security hold on my account, despite already verifying my identity with them. This security hold prevented me from withdrawing my Crypto from the platform unless I uploaded my Driver's License (again) and also submitted a video of myself.

They have failed to provide even the minimum requirement for customers service. Additionally, the restriction on trading for LRC and the anomalous lock my my account were the nail in the coffin.

I sold any crypto left on this account, because the security hold they placed did not apply to USD.

I will no longer be using this platform.

On 11/24 I moved assets from CoinBase to Gemini because Gemini was advertising staking (ability to earn yield) for this specific asset. The advertisement on their website said 12% APR and rewards within 1 day. I began staking on 11/24, and added more to my stake 11/29. I received ZERO rewards. I tried to communicate with them to no avail. So on 12/3 I decided to unstake so i could move my funds elsewhere. I chose to unstake all but only received about 2/3 of my assets. When I complained about the no rewards and their only releasing a portion of my funds they locked my account completely withholding MY funds from me. Everything they requested from me was sent immediately. Proof of identity, and proof of purchase for my assets was sent. They still haven’t released my funds and now I’ve taken monetary loss due to this and market decline. I’ll NEVER use this company again for anything. I want my assets then I want every account with them related to me closed. I’d suggest digging deep before considering using this company
