I began using the Gemini platform in July 2025 to purchase Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, starting with an initial deposit of approximately $4,000. My intention was to increase my investment once I became familiar with the platform. The process of buying Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies was straightforward and user-friendly. However, issues arose when I attempted to execute a small transfer. On August 3, 2025, Gemini restricted my account and required extensive identity verification procedures. Despite promptly complying with their requests, I was informed that their team was still addressing the issue. While I could continue to buy and sell assets, transfers remained blocked.

Communication with Gemini's support team was consistently slow, with delayed responses to my inquiries. Additionally, I was unable to locate clear instructions on their website for closing an account. Ultimately, I chose to liquidate my holdings, leaving a residual balance of $1.09. As of September 2025, more than 30 days later, the restriction on my account persists. Consequently, I moved to another platform to purchase Bitcoin and have experienced no issues thus far.

I have been trying to access my account for a while. Gemini has not helped me. Total frustration. Ready to contact authorities.

Have been waiting to receive my reward for being referred for more than 45 days now, received the confirmation email saying that I had earned $75 worth of crypto 45 days ago, but still haven't received anything. I've filed 3 separate support tickets but have heard absolutely nothing back from them. This is ridiculous.

My president has disappeared countless legal immigrants and citizens to concentration camps where they are being tortured and murdered. Gemini thought it'd be cute to advertise his crypto scam in my email even though I explicitly opted out of said marketing. Hundreds of his own supporters have reported losing their life savings to his coin. Remember that Tesla CEO doing seig hails on inauguration day? You know, that guy that destroyed USAID leading to millions of deaths? Yea, they advertised his cars to me as well. To top it all off, they are deleting my reviews under the false pretense that I'm reviewing the wrong company. Don't give these monsters your money unless you like dictatorships and fascism.

My account has been on hold for 2 weeks. I’ve never received an explanation why. I’ve tried contacting support multiple times and I still haven’t heard anything back.

Terrible service. I urge anyone NOT TO USE this app. I cannot send crypto to an external wallet without this nosey service demanding information on the recipient. The app doesn't work and I have constant frozen accounts or security holds. As of today I cannot withdraw 40 measly dollars into my bank account. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE. They will keep you in an endless cycle of automated emails and fix nothing. They do not care about you but just want to lock your money in.

Gemini has constant withdrawal issues, and support takes forever to respond. It's very unreliable.

Customer service is nonexistent! I obtained my card back in April and my account is stuck on the identity verification process. I can’t tell you how many times I have attempted to email them because email is the only option since April and have not received a single response. Now it appears that I am going to be losing the 300 XRP that I earned.

If you are going to freeze accounts in order to verify customers you need to actually have CS who can verify the customers. Poorly managed company with no CS - Very deserving of the 1 star reviews. DO NOT LEAVE ANY MONEY ON GEMINI. DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT MAKE ANY ORDERS ON THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY.

Gemini generated an explicit video of a minor, which is illegal and unacceptable. This indicates a serious failure in the model’s safety and content filtering. I strongly request improvements to prevent such outputs. This must be taken seriously

Beware of Gemini's credit card!! If you under pay the balance on the statement by even $1, the charge you the 17% interest charge of the entire balance. On top of that, they charge you 17% of the full balance of the following month even if you pay off the entire balance prior to the due date! Predatory!😡

This firm is a complete Joke, I am upset at myself for not reading reviews here on time. Customer tickets/emails ignored for 4-5 weeks at a time, company review processes take 3-4 months, assets frozen left and right, non existing service, I honestly am having a hard time believing they are still existing in the market at all. This isn't just incompetence, this is actual fraud.

Gemini has been holding my money for over 15 days with no clear explanation. Both of my bank accounts were closed after they sent wire fraud information to my banks. The funds were sent directly back to Gemini, yet I still have no access to them.

They asked me to answer the following questions:
• Describe the general purpose of your recent transfers.
• Describe the purpose of the recent withdrawals of BTC and USDT between May 12th and July 29th to the addresses ending in q/ZQ and 68c. Please be specific in describing the purpose of these withdrawals.
• Describe how you will be using your Gemini account in the future.
• Describe your source of wealth for your Gemini investments.

I answered every one of these questions clearly and in full. Still, nothing has been done to release my funds. I want my money returned in the exact dollar amount that was deposited and made immediately available for withdrawal. Every day this delay continues, it costs me money and causes unnecessary stress.

The more I try to move my funds, the more complicated they make it. I am done waiting. If this is not resolved immediately, I will continue to write reviews and have colleagues and friends do the same until my money is back in my possession. Their lack of cooperation and transparency will be publicly documented.

Life is going with the flow gemini app sucks. its the worst sucky app i have never seen and i cannot believe it's stil on my phone. an no customer service. how do u boycott an app you didn't authorized in the first place.

I have to be absolutely honest here. Gemini has ABSOLUTELY zero idea of how to run a business for an international market; they can’t even onboard Europeans properly. I promise that the onboarding process with this pathetic attempt of an exchange is so absurd and ridiculous that anyone actually thinking about joining their platform should seriously consider better exchanges of which there are so many more that surpass the shite Gemini offers.

Update i forgot to later mentioned that Gemini let me withdraw my money back to my bank, but they are closing my account, but that’s fine, good luck to anyone trying to use them. Just be careful.!

They froze my account and customer service has ghosted me for months refusing to do anything. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
