Not sure what to say other than it has been a complete let down from the start.
Arrived at their quote through compare the market, quite a bit cheaper than others. Filled out the form and tried to pay the annual, every time I click pay, it takes me to the start of the form (now blank) which needs to be completed again. Tried it a few times and finally gave up. (It does the same for me on all Aviva policy sites)
Called them up (Again, terrible. Tried a few numbers. They hate talking to people by phone apparently) - Woman on the phone was defensive when I told her now I click the link in their email to the policy which is guaranteed until the 26th of April at £550, it's now wanting £611 online. Her reply was along the lines of 'well there is nothing we can do if you're unhappy with the quote' and I'm like 'Well I was perfectly happy with it, and your guarantee of it but that's not what it is now, is it?' Her: 'Oh well then you'll have to email a screenshot to challenge it.' It took longer to get the email address from her than anything else because she was extremely hard to understand.
It's just one annoyance after another and I don't even have a policy with them yet. I'm starting to see this as a good thing if this is the hassle before I'm even a customer.
I sent the screenshot in and received automated replies but no actual reply yet. Phone woman said it would be a 24 hour turnaround by email. (lol)
Will update in future if I ever do get a reply (doubtful).
Update: Got an email back saying I can accept the quote even though it doesn't match the quote and pay more and then hopefully get a refund (sounds dubious)
Called up as they also said you can't buy online anymore at Aviva and need to call to accept new policies. :/
Guy on the phone is going to ask the support/finance people if they will actually do £550 since that's what was quoted and going to contact me back with their answer as I'm not going to pay them on the off chance they might and then have to mess around cancelling my policy within 14 days for a refund later on.
Update: I didn't bother waiting around. I went with One Protect instead who offered me a quote at £560.

They took the entire annual
Premium for my car insurance when I opted for monthly payments. On complaining by phone they then refunded me the money but then wrote to me asking for the full premium again or they would cancel my policy. On ringing their system would not recognize my policy number on numerous occasions. Their online chat couldn’t help. I used a complaint form over a week ago which was acknowledged but never heard anything further. So in the end I paid the full amount in fear of my
Policy being cancelled. It was awful not being able to speak to a person. I’ve been with them for two years. On this occasion they fell short so I won’t renew with them next year. I believe they also charged me some interest for late payment too which was a total cheek!!
I laughed at the reply below. I tried all those. And no joy. And the phone number which they haven’t mentioned (deliberately) does not recognize my policy number when it’s keyed in. Even though that’s on my
Policy documents. Never renewing with them. Just lip service.

My father had a home insurance policy with General Accident. When he died I rung them to cancel his policy and take out the same cover in my name. I was 15 minutes on the phone cancelling his policy and then got transferred to a different agent and I was on the phone for half an hour going through all the questions and I agreed the policy and gave my bank details. Two months later I realised I hadn't had any documents. Emailed them. They said there was no policy set up and no record of my call. Dispicable. I wouldn't trust them with a bargepole.
