Service is the worse

Service is the worse. Service advisors last maybe a month . Lies and repeated misinformation on service repairs. I will never recommend Ocala General RV. They are very good at misinformation and treating their customers like they are stupid. If I knew that this location has some of the worse repair reviews I would had never NEVER bought there!

No deposit refund.

Gave $2000 deposit. Had to rescind the deal four days later due to unexpected personal reasons. They refused to refund the deposit after salesman said on two occasions….”I have never seen General RV keep a deposit, it’s not how we do business”. Sadly I live close to their Wixom facility. I intend to buy a Class C in the spring. They have the best inventory. But I will go elsewhere.

Shady Service

Needed warranty work done. Took my travel trailer camper in early December 2024. Had a list of things needed to get done and were approved by Jayco to get done. Only one thing had actually been finished by the time I needed it in late January. Things that were on the list of repairs were checked off as “done,” but were never touched or not fixed to the point it was actually functional. I took my camper back for work (travel full time), planning to return for the awning and sink repair because the replacements hadn’t come in. I also asked my original service dpt case worker to have them actually fix what they didn’t when I returned as well. I could not return until September. I kept calling throughout the year to make sure everything was set for my return. I talked to two new service case workers during that time, indicating a high turnover rate at the dealership. I made sure the sink and awning were delivered and waiting by the time I returned.

I dropped my camper off for the final repairs in mid-September. My 4th case worker wasn’t there to check me in. I asked about one of the repairs that wasn’t fixed (my fridge door would not close properly and fell completely off when driving). Was told I could just fix it myself even though it was on the original list I needed repaired. I decided to just get the awning and sink done so I could be over with this whole experience. I was called a few days later to be told my awning “got legs and walked away” and unless I wanted to wait for a new one, I would have to settle for a black awning. I agreed to the black because I could not wait for a new awning due to needing the camper for work in a week.

After the awning and sink were fixed (the other things that had been checked off but not fixed were never fully repaired) I inspected the repairs and they worked fine. I took the camper back to park it for 5 days before moving it 30 min to my next job. After about 2 weeks at work, I went to use my stove to cook. I found my burners disassembled and missing all their screws. The stovetop had been perfectly fine before I took it in for the repairs in September. I had not looked at the stove under the glass lid during the final inspection before signing the release forms because it never should have been touched. I did not touch it at all between the repair and going to cook. No one else has a key to my camper and it had no signs of being broken in to. The only explanation is someone at the dealership took apart the burners for some reason. The screws are no where to be found. In the 3 years I had the camper, the burners never came apart while driving. I explained to my case worker what happened but she and her manager decided not to take any responsibility for it. So I now have to repair the stovetop they took apart out of my own pocket. Given the poor customer service I had always received, I do not doubt a service technician either didn't know what they were doing, took the screws for another camper’s repair, didn’t finish putting the stovetop back together for some reason, or there was miscommunication about what needed to be repaired. I’m not sure the occurrence was even investigated like I requested them to do. So between the terrible communication between case workers, shady technicians using my original awning for another project and touching something that shouldn't have been touched, and the incomplete repairs I asked to be repaired again and again, I will never be returning to this dealership. I recommend nobody use them as well, especially for repairs. I have warned my RV working community as well. Save yourself the headache and frustration.

CEO of General RV doesn't even respond

This is the complaint I sent to the CEO

I'm trying to seek assistance in a problem I am having with a RV that my husband and I have purchased at the Hershey RV show 9/11/25. Rather than type everything out I will attach a screenshot of my earlier complaint and go from there.

After reading my complaint I thought everything was resolved. My 6 week wait for my RV suddenly showed up the next day. We were told that we need to finish our paperwork and look over our camper, then have our camper delivered and our trade in picked up on 10/6.

Now here we go it's the weekend and my husband is informed they're not delivering our camper on Monday we're just signing papers. I'm not sure what type of business runs like this, but it seems as though no one knows what's going on in this company. I have been in sales for 30 years and never once have I thought about lying to a customer. I would much rather been told upfront what to expect, then told anything and promised everything to get a sale.

I have been very frustrated with this entire process, We have now taken off twice from work. Depending on how Monday goes, I maybe leaving a Google review as well for the Elizabethtown store. As of today's post the canceled our delivery for tomorrow due to a driver quitting.

Not impressed with anyone in this process.

There was a previous complaint I attached to this letter. If I could give them a zero I would. They could make it right they just don't.

Worst dealership

Worst customer service, should be no stars. They dont care about there customers and all they want is to sell you a trailer and take your money. I bought an Alliance Valor 36v11 in July and still have nothing to show for it. Making payments and paying insurance on an imaginary trailer. They wanna make it right they should be getting me my trailer and paying my taxes on the trailer since they've had it longer than me. Bad enough im paying for it for them to have it.

This is the most dishonest group I have…

This is the most dishonest group I have ever dealt with. Liars, cheats, and thieves summarizes my dealings with them. I was supposed to inspect my new RV on Friday @ 1:30. I spoke to their assistant sales manager early in the week to make sure the coach was ready for my inspection as I was traveling 450 miles to pick up my new Pasadena RV, and only had Friday afternoon to make sure it's in perfect shape before driving it back from Elizabethtown PA to New Hampshire. I purchased it at the PA RV show the previous Thursday and put down a $10,000 deposit with the understanding that when I picked up the RV it would be in working order. The coach was moved to the dealership on Sunday evening after the show. It sat on their lot all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and most of the day Friday. This General RV dealership never touched it. The first time it moved was at 1:00 pm while I was waiting to inspect a coach that I was assured would cleaned, inspected, and a complete "pre delivery inspection" had been performed. I was also assured the the coach would have power, sewer, water hooked up and the refrigerator and AC running.
I got into the RV around 1:45 One of the theater seats had a big stain on the headrest, the screens in the windows were falling down. There was no screen in the bathroom vent, and no vent cover. The floor was all scuffed and dirty from traffic at the show as no cleaning had been done. That's the small stuff. After the AC ran for 2+ hours, it could not get the temperature in the coach below 86 degrees. The refrigerator could not get below 50 degrees. My technician for the day, had no idea what the buttons on the zantrex did. I told their assistant sales manager Eric that I no longer had any interest in purchasing this defective coach. He informed me that General RV would not refund my $10,000 deposit.

Prices not adding up,. refused deposit refund

Visited the Hershey show..signed for a deposit(non-refundable - should have been a red flag). Called first thing the next morning(not even 24 hours later) and wanted to cancel. After looking over the numbers and thinking about the conversations, things didnt seem right. They are refusing to give deposit back. Unit not even ordered or processed yet. I could understand totally if it was in production. We have been told many lies already just even trying to get the deposit back. Filing a dispute now to try to get the deposit back.

My boyfriend and I bought our camper almost 2 years ago and we never used it and things started falling apart. We decided to sell it and found multiple things wrong without even using it. I called and I was put on hold and then sent through to voicemail. I never got a call back. Our camper was built brand new and can tell it was rushed. I do not recommend purchasing from them. I am just disappointed all around. They were very nice when buying it but don’t stand behind their products.

If i could give this place -0 stars i…

If i could give this place -0 stars i would. If youre thinking about trusting General RV, West Chester, with your investment, let me save you thousands of dollars and years of frustration: dont.
For five consecutive years 11/26/2020, 11/26/2021, 11/26/2022, 11/26/2023, and 11/26/2024 I paid over $200 per inspection to meet the requirements of my Forever RV warranty through NWAN Inc.

I scheduled the inspections on time, paid in full, and relied on General RV to do what any competent dealer should: submit the inspection reports to the warranty provider.
They didnt. Not once.
And heres the kicker: I was never informed that I had to personally submit these reports until this year.. No email. No phone call.

No paperwork. No verbal instruction. Nothing. Just silence.

Now, after NWAN voided my warranty, General RV claims they notified me. Thats a lie and a lazy one at that. If they had any proof of communication, theyd have shown it. They didnt because it doesnt exist.

When i \called and talked to the manager, She apologized and i should try to contact NWAN and plead ignorance, and maybe they would reinstate my warranty. Something that they could have done but did not offer to do.
This isnt a one-off mistake. Its a five-year pattern of negligence. Five missed submissions.

Five chances to do their job. Five failures. And now Im left with a voided warranty and no recourse all because General RV couldnt be bothered to follow through on the most basic administrative responsibility.
Lets be clear: I held up my end of the deal. I paid for the inspections.

I showed up on time. I trusted their process. And they failed me repeatedly. Their incompetence has now exposed me to thousands of dollars in potential repair costs, all because they couldnt send a report.

Upon scheduling service, they offer a complimentary inspection, and they always seem to find items that require additional service at additional cost. Not to mention the high labor rates, I might add.
General RVWest Chester is a textbook example of what happens when a company prioritizes sales over service, and profit over integrity. Theyll smile through the sale, take your money, and vanish when its time to protect your investment. If you value your warranty, your time, or your sanity, stay far away from General RV.
They dont just drop the ball they bury it, deny it existed, and send you the bill.

I will never ever go back to that place. Avoid General RV like your wallet depends on it because it does!

I purchased my RV from general rv the…

I purchased my RV from general rv the day they took over the longmont location. They SD they went thru my rv but during the walk thru the tanks were still full. And I paid $1600 for protective coating that supposedly would protect my rv for 5 years I should have nothing to worry about. That was June 18 2025 it's now Aug 27th I have left multiple messages for service with no response. So today I called to speak to a sales manager "Ryan" I explained I noticed a wet spot in my rv and after last night's rain I'm sure my roof is leaking. He started being condescending from the start about this is the 1st I've contacted Ted them and who knows where I have had the rv. If I wanted to drive it over 200 miles to them they would look at it, but I would probably be stuck paying for any repairs. This is all based on the responses I could tell Ryan wasn't trying to help or consider maybe they missed something. DO NOT buy from them they will talk you into fake services and protection that they are just lining their pockets with. I felt I shouldn't have bought from them based on everything going on please don't make my mistake.AVOID like the plague they don't take behind what they sell.

Please do not get ripped off by this…

Please do not get ripped off by this group. Go elsewhere! We were sold a total disaster of a camper and they accept no responsibility at all!! They lie too! Salesman “bring it in and we will take care of the issue”. Take it in, they said no they wouldn’t take care of it. Issues on the camper they sold is that they said was in good condition:
Very first camping trip, spare tire explodes and blows out window above it (they refuse to fix)
Same trip, hot water does not work at all! (They refuse to fix)
Same trip, slide out will not close. Took 2 weeks to have someone go to campground to temporarily fix. The repairman said, “whoever sold this to you, did NOT look over a damn thing”.
I’m going to take a huge loss on this camper to buy something else but you better believe I will not go to this business full of con artists. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else!

I bought a 2024 Tiffin Wayfarer on…

I bought a 2024 Tiffin Wayfarer on 6-11-2025 was given a 30 day tag, 30 days later no plates or registration was told the DMV was backed up received another 30 days tag before it expired I called general Rv several times and wrote to camp crew. It was all a waste of time no one ever calls me back and they refuse to let you talk to a manager. I called the dmv on my own and was told that they never even started the registration. I have filed a complaint with the Florida division of motor services and the Florida attorney general. This all takes time and now I’m stuck in Ohio with a 130,000 vehicle that I can’t drive. The vehicle I bought was just traded in and I believe that they are waiting for the money from the sale of the new vehicle to pay mine off. Last week while making my daily calls to General Rv in Ocala they put a finance manager on the phone and he told me to go ahead and drive , if I get stopped I can show them the bill of sale. I believe that this is against the law. My next step is to hire an attorney.

ABSOLUTE WORST DEALER!!

ABSOLUTE WORST DEALER!!! PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE A POTENTIAL BUYER!
LONG BUT WORTH THE READ!

We bought our camper (3rd one) sight unseen, from North Canton location. We knew it was the layout that we were looking for and could not find that same layout closer to us in Pittsburgh.
Connor our salesman did a FaceTime video of the unit once it arrived. Very clean on the inside with no issues. Not the same on the outside. They played the game that there were other eyes on it and we would have to put down $5,000 to hold it. So we did hold it with $2,000 down.
The advertised price was $21,999. Then they added a $2000 prep fee, which is unjustifiable. The only thing they did to this camper was clean the awning. We could've done that a lot cheaper ourselves.
The gentleman that did the demo didn't know how the thermostat worked, my husband basically had to show him. The sheet on the bed, the previous owner must have left on and it was spotted. You would think they would've taken that off. I believe they didn't because they were hiding marks on the mattress or once again no one even cleaned the inside.
Here are the items we addressed on the outside and think for $2000 we should not have had to address them? Some taken care of, some not. Again, Chris the manager was not willing to negotiate.
Stopper behind door was missing, screw exposed, they did put a stopper on.
Two of the four tires were bigger than the other two, Chris said he has to go with what his service guy tells him. My nephew owns a tire shop. My husband also knows tires very well. After driving two hours to get back home, my nephew took off the tires, all four belts were broken. Thank goodness, we didn't need the spare because that was in worse shape than the tires. Where is their concern for safety? Whichever service guy said those tires were fine should be fired. The tires were from 2018. It was a 2019 camper.
Right arm on awning bent, we were told by a very rude serviceman that even the new RV's have the same issue. PLEASE, REALLY??? Also, awning had a rip at the top and was taped. Again, no negotiating.
There was a missing part for the stabilizer. Connor said it was on order only to find out later that the gentleman from service told us he would order it, (thought it was on order). We now must put that on ourselves.
Missing cap on the bumper storage tube, they did replace that.
Screws were missing on the cover and the front of the camper where the leveling power button is. Fortunately, they had screws and did replace that.
I understand that there is a prep fee for $2000 but I would love to know what they did for $2000 when we had ourselves had to address all of these issues. The most frustrating is that we've had to put on four new tires when they knew those tires were bad.
After emails to Corporate and phone calls, no resolution only to be told that they have denied the claim and that is the final decision.
I would never recommend the General Rv or the North Canton General RV center. I highly doubt that Chris or the serviceman that said the tires were fine would have driven two hours with those tires.
Yes, we had our choice to not buy the camper but at that point they had our $2000 and we really liked the layout.
Also, Chris had set the price at $24,918 without even seeing the camper. So when we addressed the issues he was not willing to negotiate
Please corporate do not respond to this email by apologizing and telling me how you understand my frustrations, and how I can reach out to you, which I have already done and you or the location have done nothing to resolve the issues. Only to tell me that the final decision has been made to not reimburse of for the tires. The follow ups to other reviews should have told me from the get-go that I should not deal with that location.
I do take blame. I did not do my due diligence and read the reviews which I always do before buying a product. Lesson learned!
Hope this helps others who are considering buying from General RV.

General RV Center in Orange Park…

General RV Center in Orange Park continues to disappoint. Approximately one month ago, we were finally able to get someone on the phone and took our class B in the next day. After spending the entire day waiting, they told us we needed an inverter. They verified the extended warranty coverage and ordered the part. They said it should take about 3 weeks to get the part so we scheduled the work for July 11,2025 at 11:00.
On July 10th my husband called and verified the appointment.
On July 11th, my husband was about to leave the house for the appointment. Someone called and said they did not have the part.
Why didn’t someone tell him that when he called the day before???? They said it would take Another 3 weeks to get the part. WHY??? I believe someone failed to order it.
So now we have to wait another month and hope and pray we can get this fixed.
We were going to take our 6 year old grandson camping and to the Ark. He has been looking forward to this adventure for months. So now we cannot give him the adventure he wanted and we have $505 worth of non refundable tickets.
You would think, after all of the negative reviews, General RV would make an effort to take better care of their customers and improve their reputation.
Wish I could rate them with a negative number.

Unscrupulus bait and switch sales pracrtices

I want to share my experience with the most deceptive sales practices I have ever encounterd. I wanted to purchase a coach advertised for $99,995. I dealt with the Internet Sales representative who was very professional. I agreed to the deal and gave a credit card depoisit. The next day I get a call from the representative apologizing because management had decided to raise the price to $129,995. WTF? Buyer beware of bait and switch practices. I recommend to stay away from General RV.

Do not do business with this dealer.05

So after I wrote the first review, they contacted me and asked what they could do to make it right. What a joke. Corporate listened to our complaints, as well as reading the reports from another legitimate dealer showing the damages occured prior to our purchase of the camper and after weeks of conversation and emails, they referred it back to the Jacksonville Dealership. What a joke, they were not going to admit to their devious business practices and refused any help with the damages to the camper.
Do not purchase from this dealer. Again there are several lawsuits, and they are not just at this dealer, but quite a few of their locations in Florida.
