Delivery delayed by Fed Ex and floods. Packaging not sufficiently taped on bottom. Items could have fallen out. Product excellent and well priced

“We can do that”. Deciding to bring the croft back into operation, I decided that we needed a small tractor to do the job. Hearing good reports on the Kubota EK1 tractor I attempted to buy one. Out of 7 enquiries only 2 gave initial interest, George Browns ; Mr. Steve Brown, replied that they were prepared to deliver some 660 miles to the Scottish highlands. With this positive response I expanded the order to a Winton flail mower and a Winton rotovator at the guidance of Browns. The units arrived on the back of a small transporter (slight delay outwith Browns) and are now in service. After 3 years fallow, the rotovator with several passes did the job and the flail mower has brought a couple of acres back to use.
For a croft this combination replaces an aged MF35 and is not totally without minor coupling problems, (Lynch pin holders on arms need a tap out of the way and the heavy drive shaft coupling needed a bit of a mod to the pto shaft guard but that may be due to my 75 years age and lack of strength!).
Would highly recommend the Company and the combination of machinery for croft use.

I have an electric Stihl mower which completely refused to go, having tried a competitor elsewhere , but was told there would be an 8 week wait due to staff illness I approached George Browns. The machine is only in its second season but as I bought it On-Line I did not complete the warranty so was not sure if I was covered. From my first contact with the staff I was confident that my machine was in good hands and told that it should be back to me in approx. 3weeks. On the same day I had a phone call from Jane Wallis who said she would try to sort out my warranty and a few days later confirmed she had managed to confirm my 5 year warranty. On the same day I also had a call to tell me a new switch would be needed. With in 7 days, I had my mower back and I am so pleased with the result especially as the grass is growing so fast at present !! Many thanks to all at George Browns

I purchased a AL-KO premium T22 110.0 HDH A V2 tractor
I dealt with Henry and nothing was to much trouble, felt very well looked after from start to finish and after sales. Really good communication. Great company to deal with. Would definitely recommend and will be using George Browns again in the future.

Hi Henry,
Thanks for your time on care on the day of delivery.
As discussed initially the online ordering process cost me 2.5 hours as I was with my partner, Phil in a company Directors Meeting, we spent 1 hour plus on the phone with Keith who said he would see what he could do regarding the mower being full of oil & petrol when it arrived.
As discussed, when you delivered the mower, this was disappointing not be the case… A full tank of petrol on delivery and even a spare is low cost and I think most people would take you up on this, for the convenience. It’s like having a new toy at Christmas and no batteries so you can’t play with it... In the case of a mower, it’s a necessity to take control of grass, so no fuel just delays this and causes frustration…
In regard operation of the machine getting it in gear when you first start the machine and want to begin cutting is very hard / stiff, same goes for reverse. I don’t know it in time this will get easier as it is a new machine?
The back box design – REALLY needs looking at, flabbergasted at this… that it spills out on to the floor and requires picking up manually.
Thanks,
Marianne

What amazing customer service from the young lady on reception (sorry, didn't get her name) and the young fitter who assembled the strimmer for us. Both so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend 👌

A prompt and efficient delivery. Henry was very helpful showing me around the new ride on lawn mower, and explaining how everything worked.

I had my Kubota mower serviced by George Browns Chesham and I'm thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and efficiency. From scheduling the appointment to the completion of the service. They even provided useful maintenance tips to keep my mower running smoothly. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality of their work and will definitely be returning for future service needs. Highly recommended!
We called Geroge Browns to get a full service of our Kubota lawnmower. We were quoted £500 +VAT for a half day service. An eye watering amount but bearable, given would take a half day and we heard George Browns were reputable. Engineer arrived promptly was friendly enough but then left promptly, not an hour and a half later. We found out later that the oil had not been filled nor was it clear that a full service had been untaken as described on the phone.
A month later we received an invoice in the post (no electronic correspondence was made). I emailed to query the invoice, with no reply. Rob Adkins called at 8.27am three months later in a frustrated tone asking why the invoice had not been paid. I explained we had sent an email and that the £500 charge was not acceptable for an hour and half service. He was combative on the phone, called back several times, before finally agreeing to reduce the invoice to £383+VAT, arguing that there were over £100 of material costs. His justifications were flimsy and illogical - £383 for an hour half work is ridiculous.
We would not recommend Geroge Browns to anyone, there service is no better than average, extortionate costs, antiquated invoicing systems and unpleasant staff.
From start to finish I got prompt efficient service. Excellent price too for the product I purchased . The person i dealt with was Keith.
Cannot fault my experience and would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic Service and Assistance in choosing the correct Ride On Lawnmower for our garden. The mower was fully assembled and swiftly delivered to our house by Henry - who then did a very thorough handover, running me through all the relevant safety and operational details. Could not have asked for a better service.

Exactly what you want from a local business. We needed a few different bits of equipment to maintain the greenery around our industrial units and the George Browns Team were extremely helpful in answering all of our questions and finding the right kit to suit our requirements. We are getting on really well with our Mountfield Lawn Mower and Stihl Strimer and even our customers have commented how nice our entrance looks. Thank you

I was really impressed with their customer service as i had a few questions about what ride on mower would be best for my set up. I also needed to purchase a strimmer alongside and again the team was very helpful. I will definitely be coming back to George Browns for more Garden Machinery and have already recommended to my friends.

After a recent visit to the Leighton Buzzard store to buy a ride-on mower, I was pleasantly surprised at how many were available to view. Their showroom sales person gave great advice and I have a New Stiga heading my way ready for the start of the season. Would highly recommend for all garden machinery needs.

Having recently started my own gardening business, I have found Browns of Leighton Buzzard very helpful indeed , they are all very knowledgeable and give you impartial help and advice. Which I found to be a massive positive for myself and the business, it's enlightening to know that locally there is a store that will go that extra mile to support their customers. Finally, also it goes a long way when you also get service with a smile !.. Regards Darren Perry (Leighton Clearance and Garden)

First time buyer for a ride on mower. George Browns were recommended by another retailer who were really helpful with information but I lived outside their delivery area so they suggested GB. I was very impressed with the way I was handed to the web sales team and then I met Henry, who advised, quoted, PDI'd the equipment, delivered and did a great handover. Then I went back and bought another tool from him....excellent service, well done that man!
No hidden costs, don't be fooled by what may seem cheaper at first from other suppliers, who then hit you with hidden costs.
