Rather than taking on more than we can process, which would lead to long delays and frustration, we’ve chosen to temporarily limit new silver purchases to maintain fair turnaround times for our existing clients.
Our prices remain displayed transparently online to reflect current market levels — not to mislead or discourage others, but to provide accurate, real-time information. This decision is about prioritising customer experience over short-term profit. We prefer to pause new transactions than risk disappointing customers with processing delays.

Posted silver which arrived at Gerrards on 22nd Jan - silver prices were very high.
Expected some delay but website suggested valued on day of receipt.
Got a call on 4th Feb - Silver prices crashed , offered much lower price than expected
Whilst understand unprecedented demand I lost out financially and would have done better other dealers I use. Would not repeat this mistake.

Over the past few weeks, we have experienced an unprecedented surge in customer demand, which has created longer-than-usual processing times. As a result, we have temporarily closed our “Buying” service to focus on clearing the existing backlog and to help reduce waiting times moving forward.
While our website quotes live prices, market valuations are always confirmed at the point of processing. Unfortunately, due to the delay caused by the high volume of parcels arriving at that time, your order was processed once we reached it in queue—and during that period, silver prices had moved significantly.
We truly regret that this impacted your return and understand how disappointing that must have been. We are working hard to restore normal turnaround times to prevent similar situations in the future and will re-open our Buying service once we have fully caught up and can deliver the level of service Gerrards Bullion is known for.

Not been paid for the Silver I sent them
I sent Gerrards Bullion my silver 9 days ago, it does say on their website that they could take up to 5 days to pay. However, it's been 9 days and I'm still waiting for payment. I've phoned Gerrards Bullion 4 times over the last 2 days to inquire what the hold up is and each time I called, I've been given a different excuse as to why I still haven't been paid. My suspicion is that they don't want to pay the higher price for the silver which has gone up quickly over the last few days and they are waiting to send me a lower price. I hope they aren't using such tactics, but it's been 9 days and I still haven't been paid for the silver they have of mine. Gerrards, if you are reading this, don't request I contact you a 5th time, just send me the money for my silver. By the end of today it will be 10 days since they received my silver. Regards Kyle
