Not shopping here ever again

Not shopping here ever again. This happened at the Gerry Weber store in the Westfield mall of the Netherlands in Leidschendam, Den Haag (or close by). I was being nice and polite. I went to go try on a dress from the back. Size 38. The bowl cut, blonde, old lady (i would've called her something else other than that) came to me saying, "that's size 38, it's too small on you". She said it twice when i went to the other side to try it on without interference. She proceeded to say it OUT LOUD and i personally felt not only judged but fat shamed. Regardless of what size i wear. She doesn't have to go and do that to people. I didn't feel sad or ashamed, but irritated and wanting to land a fist at her. She does not get to do that to customers. Especially since i was ready to spend my money there. So sad that they have to resort to this..... I never been treated like this in any other store. What a shame that they hired someone like that.

Did i leave out any details? Yeah, just one. I did say that 38 does fit me but it depends on the material. Pants or shirts, etc. But she disregarded me entirely and proceeded saying, "it doesn't matter. It's a size 38 (all while eying me up and down judgementally) it's too small". I asked where are the bigger sizes to see if it was more than my size that bothered her. She proceeds to show me the bigger sizes. I was left pissed off. It's like she gets pleasure of humiliating clients. I just hope someone comes along and clocks her. I wasn't aware that store employees can just walk up to anyone and say that to them and decide on their behalf.

Do not order online from this company

Do not order online from this company. I placed an order and when it was delivered the paper work was written in Dutch. As the top was unsuitable I posted it back by Royal Mail costing me £13 for tracking and to be signed for. Post office said it should reach its destination by the 10th March . It is now one month later and after repeated emails to the company I have not received a refund.
Reading an answer to an above review it looks that the company are in financial trouble.
This has been an annoying and waste of my time and effort with little comeback.

WARNING!! DO NOT ORDER ONLINE

I placed an online order on 10 March 2025. I followed up as still not delivered and I received an email today, 28 March to say the following “ unfortunately, we must inform you that our company is in insolvency due to serious financial difficulties. As previously reported in the media, E-Gerry Weber Digital GmbH, your contractual partner for the order, also had to file for insolvency.
As a result of this situation, we are unfortunately no longer able to process your order or issue a refund. If part or all of your order has already been returned to us, we are unfortunately unable to provide you with a refund.”

Serious financial problems

OCTOBER '25 - UPDATE. I received a payment request for the total amount (turns out that I chose the option to pay later, luckily). But I paid only for the items I kept at home - the company confirmed the payment, and no further actions were required from my end. POSTED on MARCH '25. No refund for the items returned in end February. After several attempts of contacting the customer service, I received an email on March 25 from Gerry Weber saying that the company is facing bankruptcy due to serious financial problems and they cannot process any refunds. I find it not normal that online shop does NOT inform customers on their website that no retour is possible when purchasing online. The bankruptcy is not declared over a night or so - they must knew about it long time already...

Bought a Gerry Weber

Bought a Gerry Weber, sky blue polo jumper last November 2024 in store, quality is shocking, followed all the washing instructions from the label, bobbled after one wash, I have now washed it 4 times, it's unwearable with the amount the bobbles on it. I have purchased his garments previously and found the quality excellent, but this purchase absolutely terrible, will think twice about future purchases.

What happened? DO NOT BUY/ no customer service

It’s not my first order and before, never had any problems. Until now…
Order on 4th March and still no info GE8123406136NL… my attempts to contact anyone failed and all I got was a generic email saying that my order is delayed. I kept emailing but customer service is not bothered to reply. Customer service is a joke and the product I ordered is still on the website…
EDIT: I am reading about insolvency so I hope I see my money back :(

Received totally wrong order

I ordered a jacket for my mam, and I received 2 tops instead on the 29th of January, it is now the 10th of February and the customer service team just keeps putting me off, for such a established business I can't understand its customer service team..just seen the reply and it is false, I was indeed sent a parcel from Gerry Weber but the wrong items were in it, and I'm still waiting for this to be resolved

First time that I bought anything from…

First time that I bought anything from this brand and I must say the quality is simply amazing. Clothing looks better than in the pictures. Great material and great cut for all the things I have bought. The only complaint is that everything is not true to its size so you should work on that bc I’m very skinny and I usually order S instead of XS because I like it more loose and both trousers and tshirt came out really small in my opinion. Also the winter jacket I ordered size L/ 40! I really liked it and I risked thinking that it’s going to be super oversized and if too much I’d give it to my mum. Truth be told the fit of the jacket feels like S! Which is a little bit tricky.. I’m really very skinny so , you should definitely work on sizing. Also I have almost no breasts so I have no idea how girl of this size would be able to fit into the jacket even someone with size M.. anyhow quality is amazing so thank you.

I purchased three Gerry Weber dresses…

I purchased three Gerry Weber dresses at the Yonge Street store, I am happy with two, the third one I wore twice and put it in the wash yesterday, all by itself and it came out with a frayed collar. Today I went to the shop and complained, the sales person wanted to see the receipt, told me how it should be washed - I told her that I washed it correctly, then she started with all kinds of suggestions what I could have done wrong, nobody offered to fix it or anything else. Well, I won't go back to Gerry Weber, for garments which don't survive one wash I can go to cheaper stores. Also personell is only friendly when buying. Dorothea Burstyn

I purchased a jacket (knitted jacket…

I purchased a jacket (knitted jacket with plastic trim). Unfortunately I have had the jacket in the wardrobe for a while and decided to wear it yesterday, but was mortified sitting in a restaurant to find all the plastic was all peeling off around the collar and down the front. Not happy as this jacket/cardigan was not cheap.

7 day later item still not shipped

Very bad service paid extra for express deliver and after 7 days item still not shipped . Tried to speak to somone only a robot will speak to me i asked for a refund as i paid express delivery i was ignored . Scam company i will now open a duspute with paypal as goods have not been delivers DO NOT USE

Poor experience

Just arrived on a Saturday in Ondarra shopping mall . Service is poor. Clients are approaching personel instead of the other way around . When we entered the store seemed emty . 2 lady employees had more time for each other than for clients .

Gerry Weber Where’s Your Customer Focus

Firstly I got the product I ordered and am happy with it. On the downside the delivery by Fedex wasn’t good. Was told one date and then another and it arrived on the 3 delivery date. I emailed Gerry Weber to see if they could confirm the actual delivery day and I received an automated email. I am still waiting for a response. The item I bought wasn’t cheap but the service to customers is “cheap”. Gerry Weber need to get there act together if they want to continue selling in the UK market place. Maybe if they took your money when the item was actually delivered they would be more customer focused and support their customers from ordering to delivery.

Standards have plummeted

No itmes sent, no refund! Only automatic replies for months.

I have placed an order in the beginning of February and have yet to receive theorder, all of the requests for refunds have been ignored and it has been over 2 months! It seems that the order has never been sent out as no tracking info was ever sent. All replies to the e-mails have been met with automatic replies how ''they are investigating´´. What do you call a company who takes your money and doesn´t give you your items in return?
