Pretty useless really.

Pretty useless really.. as a buyer I’ve been following this website for a couple of months as it claims you’re the first to know when they go live. I’ve followed a number of properties for months and the majority never actually go live. However this week one I was watching did go live. But following on premarket was useless.. the property went live on Thursday, I had updates from Rightmove straight away and contacted the agents through them. I then get an email from getagent on Sunday telling me it’s now live and that I’m the first to know.. it had been listed for 3 days by this point so was definitely not the first to know!!! 🤣🤣
I suppose it is slightly useful to know that the property was going to be listed as it’s an area we want to move to.. however, the majority of properties on there never actually end up listed so don’t get your hopes up!

Kamil was polite and friendly but…got it all wrong

Kamil was polite and friendly but unfortunately didnt have product knowledge and pretended to

He told me the best agent in my area, he told me he knew them well even gave me their selling percentage rate 1.8% inc vat and said they sold the highest number of one bed flats and he would oass my details onto them. He did and they called me saying dorry we cant help you we dont deal with flats. I think jamil needs to do his research before wasting everyones time

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would. I went on this site to find out the estate agents used in my area prior to putting my house on the market. At no point did I give permission for my details to be given out and sold to estate agents far and wide. At the point of clicking a button requesting estate agents contact me to give valuations I removed myself from Getagents wetsite as I was not ready for valuations/calls/emails etc. Within 10 minutes I had received 3 calls and numerous emails from estate agents. I am retired and live alone and this really unnerved me. I am disgusted that my details which were my address, email and phone number were sold on without my permission. I only asked for the names and contact details of estate agents local to me so as I could contact them when ready.

From what we can see, a request for agent valuations was submitted via the platform, which would have prompted local agents to reach out directly. We appreciate this may not have been your intention and we are sorry if this part of the process wasn’t clear at the time.

To clarify, GetAgent is a completely free service for home sellers. We only connect users with estate agents once a request has been made through the platform and there is absolutely no obligation to proceed with any of the agents who get in touch.

We’re really sorry that this caused you any distress, that’s certainly not the experience we want anyone to have. If you do decide to move forward in the future, you can take things at your own pace and contact agents when it feels right for you.
