It was a great experience. I am 83 and I rented the pontoon when my 62 year old son/wife and grandkids ( in their 30’s) came to visit. I live at Traditions at Solana (the old folks home) and thought a picnic on White River sounded like fun. The owner of the boat is an amazing man who was so nice and made it very easy to rent the boat and gave us interesting information about white River. It’s a great experience for an older person to share with their children and grandchildren.

Total scam of a website. They allow "captains" to list whatever boats they want and show full availability. Then after you pay the "captain" does a bait and switch and says the is not available. They offer another boat that is smaller AND more expensive. Then when you contact customer service for getmyboat they say they can refund you in 5-10 business days....so now I'm out $1500 for that time or keep sifting through a bunch of scammy captains.

Bryan was an excellent captain! Very communicative. Knowledgable about all the big homes on the lake. We had a great time!. I would hire him again definitely!

We booked a boat for 4th of july. The hours we wanted were more expensive but we didn't know this cause the inquiry and quote we got back was for a different price but upon messaging the owner said to bring cash for the extra. We ended up canceling cause it felt shady. But cause we were trying to plan this in under the 10 day refund windiw we still got charged the partial payment of 372. We sent screenshots of the owner trying to get us to book outside the app and they still wouldn't refund. Do not recommend.

We don't need another platform service that takes zero responsibility but takes your money. Horror stories upon horror stories of people getting canceled on last second not being refunded and get my boat having absolutely zero liability for anything. Just another group of useless losers who want to make money off of other people.

Great communication and really enjoyed the boat and the captain. Prices were a little high, but cheaper than buying and maintaining a boat.

They hide the cost of fuel and the charge a ridiculous hourly fee of $18 no matter how much you use fuel. So if you rent a boat for three hours and use only 6 or 7 gallons they charge $48!!!!

I booked a yacht tour via "jesse" in toronto for my wife's 40th birthday. I had 15 of her girlfriends, including 2 pregnant women. It was the most bewildering "experience" and he thoroughly scammed me.

I vetted the website, getmyboat.com and jesse's profile, which seemed very good. He had 4.9 stars and many good reviews.

When the day of our tour came, jesse's yacht came to pick us up in trillium harbor. He was strangely followed by a small black boat. The four men on the small boat all wore all black uniforms that read "security" on them.

As soon as this boat pulled up behind jesse, his boat immediately turned around and pulled out of the harbor, never to return. He left 15 moms including pregnant women totally stranded in 33 degree heat.

The men in the small boat then strangely also tried to sell me a yacht tour. They told me they were the "security" for the marina and reported to the police.

I then called the toronto harbor police. They informed me that jesse is an unlicensed yacht operator without docking permits in the city. The second boat is a rival company that seeks to film Jesse. They wish to catch him doing something illegal with footage so he can get fined or more.

Jesse was not even remotely apologetic later. He was upset when I gave him a one star review because he said it was unfair since we didn't get on the yacht. I will remind him again - getmyboat.com asks me to rate my "experience" with jesse, not the "boat ride".

If you book with jesse, there's a chance that he will not pick you up at all because what he's doing is completely illegal. And he's completely unlicensed and unsafe. Trillium harbor/coronation park mini harbor (beside national yacht club and the closed ontario place) doesn't even allow passenger pickups. Want proof - you can look at the signs yourself. Beware of "Jesse."

Process was easy and professional. The pontoon that we rented was perfect for our family. It was in perfect excellent condition...brand new!
