Cant' stop listening
Cant' stop listening. Ive binged like five stories already.
I was skeptical but I'm blown away
I was skeptical but I'm blown away. These stories are hot, emotional, and addictive.
They take money out of your account…
They take money out of your account then stop responding to emails even after filing a dispute form that they send you. Wouldn’t recommend at all! Stay well clear
Hidden fees
I had 3 fees withdrawn from my account on the same date. $21.00, $19.99, & $24.99. When I emailed customer service, they responded 4 days later and said that it was for a 1 month subscription fee, a premium tab upgrade, and an audio preference selection that I made when establishing my profile. I asked for a refund of 2 of the fees since I only listened to one 20 minute story and they declined based on their policy of no refunds. So I paid $65.98 for one 20 minute narrated story, and it wasn't even that good.
I LOVE how the app adapts to my taste
I LOVE how the app adapts to my taste. Every story recommendation feels spot-on, like someone carefully handpicked it just for me. It make the whole experience feel thoughtful and personal.
Horrible experience with this company
Horrible experience with this company. Joined and then immediately knew I wanted to cancel. Tried to cancel & was told that they couldn’t find my email to cancel! Regardless, I said I wanted to cancel if they found my email & took
a screenshot of my cancellation
25 days later, I was charged $32+ through PayPal but didn’t see the charge until 90 days later when I was billed $75 +/-!!
Immediately sent an email disputing both charges & got only lip service.
Filed a claim with PayPal, provided screenshots and entire history. Company wouldn’t consider a refund as a dispute had been filed.
PayPal ruled against me and would not provide me with what this rip off company provided.
Such a scam! Buyer beware, don’t do it. It’s not at all worth dealing with these people

I found it beyond my reach financially after a single subscription its expensive unsustainable although very entertaining
The personalization is what sets this…
The personalization is what sets this apart. It feels like the narrator is speaking directly to me, responding to the parts of the story that matter most. It makes every listen feel special and meaningful.
I thought I was just going to be…
I thought I was just going to be cheesy, but wow...it actually turned me on
Awful
Awful. Most reviews giving five stars look like marketing waffle and are fake. The one star reviews are correct. The site is terrible. The stories are awful. The number of stories is so few it’s ridiculous. The advertising is a con job and grossly misleading. Trustpilot needs to investigate and so do US authorities. I’ve just blown $21 and there’s no way they’ll give it back because I suspect the whole thing is a complete scam just to get multiple one off payments.
I didn't know how much I needed this…
I didn't know how much I needed this until I tried it. Obsessed now.
It genuinely feels like the stories are…
It genuinely feels like the stories are written for me. The tone, the pacing, the emotion, everything matches how I naturally respond. I've never experienced this level of personal connection in an audio app before,
The voice acting is chef's kiss
The voice acting is chef's kiss. So intimate, so real.
Every story is tailored to my own…
Every story is tailored to my own desires, almost like the app somehow knows exactly what mood I'm in. The personalization is incredible and makes the experience feel deeply intimate and comforting.

More people need to know about this, it's incredible
If you're hesitating
If you're hesitating, don't. This app is beautifully made and feels like a private little oasis. The stories lift my mood, help me unwind, and make me feel seen and appreciated. One of the best discoveries I've made this year.
This is by far the most sophisticated…
This is by far the most sophisticated audio storytelling I've found. It's subtle, emotional, calming, and incredibly intimate. I genuinely look forward to listening every night.
I've cried
I've cried, laughed, and moaned with this app-it's a journey
I'm in my forties and didn't expect to…
I'm in my forties and didn't expect to enjoy this type of app but I'm glad I tried. It's mature, elegant, and designed with real understanding of women's emotional and sensual needs. Beautiful work.
Please, please don't waste your money
You know you're in for a bad time when the moment your initial payment has gone through, they're immediately trying to upsell you on unlocking additional content - having made absolutely no mention prior to this point, of course, that your subscription wouldn't get you everything.
Then you get in, and have to laugh at just *how* bad we're talking. Let me give you some of the highlights.
- There's a search capability - you can search by category or by typing a search term. There are - get this - significantly more categories in their search form than there are stories on the site. And since most stories are in the same handful of categories, the vast majority of categories return no results. Oh, I'm sorry: "Stories by your criteria are being made", followed by unrelated results. I've yet to find a typed search term that found anything.
- The sign-up process involves a quiz on your preferences, to give you the idea that there's so much content they need to filter it to what you're interested in. Good joke. Most of the preferences you could have expressed have *zero* matching content.
- The sum total of content here is one second-person dramatic monologue, one full audiobook, and forty-odd short stories narrated by a mixture of humans and AI. Other than the book, you could listen to the entire catalogue in a single day, if you could stand the monotony.
- Some of the stories are not only clearly AI-narrated, but pieced together by someone too stingy to even pay for AI narration - they change AI voice at various points, presumably when someone hit the limit of one service's free tier and switched to the next. One of them changed voice every four minutes like clockwork - I laughed out loud when it switched from an American to a British accent like that would somehow go unnoticed.
- There's the traditional social-media-esque "like" button, with the count underneath of how many other people liked it. These range from about 700K to 3.1M. Given that not everyone will like everything and most people won't press the like button at all, this would imply that Whisper has an eight-figure number of users. Damn, guys, how come you're not on the NYSE with your hundreds of millions in annual revenue? Or maybe you overestimated our gullibility when you were generating these random numbers? 😆
I'm sad to say that this has knocked my confidence in Trustpilot itself a bit - given that all the 5-star reviews here are clearly fake, I had hoped Trustpilot would do a better job of weeding those out.
