First, let me say that I loved the car charger/mount. It has a low profile, you can mount it nearly anywhere, it actually does have a really strong hold and it looks fantastic.

The drawbacks are... Depending on your vehicle you have limited options on practical placement. I have a '17 Toyota Camry and there's only a couple places that made even a little sense and my chosen spot is bit close to the steering wheel.
When received it only comes with 2 adhesive pads (don't make the mistake of trying to relocate the mount) You only get one shot at it or you'll need to replace the adhesive.
Due to the sizing and type I couldn't find any just in the store. I had to ask Spiegel Support and they only send 1 (after suggesting I installed it incorrectly).
The dust cleaning pad comes in very handy and you'll probably need to use it almost every day. I keep a very clean car and had to do it every other day or so.
It is actually a fast charging device but that function is only for Apple and Samsung devices. If you have something else the fast charging function will not work even if your device supports it.
Actually placing your device on the pad could be a challenge depending on the use of a case or no case and determines if you need the pad they send so that it actually sticks to the mount. My device (Pixel 3 XL) no case needs the pad but with my case was fine with no pad. However, I also have an iPhone XR and no case it doesn't need the pad. Placement is critical for charging purposes. If it's too high or too low you won't be able to charger your device. This might be of concern for users that have fingerprint readers on the back of the device.
My charger only lasted about 4 months. Eventually, it stopped holding my device. The nanosuction part worked well but the head or platform I guess weakened so it wasnt able to support the weight of the device. It would sag as the vehicle moved and dip to the point that the device would fall off. It actually scared me the first time because I was on the highway when my device fell of and slid under my feet.
This I brought to the attention of Spiegel Support. It took several days and then weeks to resolve even though the device is supposedly under a 1yr warranty. Spiegel Support promised to replace it but never sent the return label to send the old and receive a new device. We went back and forth about 3 times on that. They asked that I explain in detail what I was experiencing and send video but wouldn't do the exchange despite agreeing to do so. Finally, they just decided to issue me refund if they send a return label and I return the defective device. We'll see if they actually do it.
The device itself deserves 4stars because it really is nice and when it works it works well. However, since it doesn't work for long and there are some specifics that you wouldn't know about until after you purchase it it loses that one. Work regard to their customer service, well that deserves 1star and I'm only giving it that because you can only communicate with them via email, they didn't not deliver what was promised despite me doing all they asked and then the final resolution was to just give me a refund.
Time and effort all for naught. So, 2 Stars it is. Well deserved disappointing 2stars.

The Spiegel wireless charging system is magic! Not sure how it works; I just know it does!

It's so nice not to have to plug in our phones and find a place to put them in the car. I love not having cables all over the place.

I love that the Spiegel works as easily as magnetic devices, but I don't have to glue a magnet on the back of my new phone that would interfere with wireless charging and be ugly.

A great, useful product that I highly recommend.

S8 plus standard, flat, boring, clean case will not work with this product.
Only works if case is removed and you have to hit the sweet spot on the phone... in the top 1/3 of the phone... shouldn't have to precisely place the phone.
Will return immediately... return policy requires no refund of shipping... considering it just ships usps at a slow rate......

CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKED

I payed my order with Apple Pay. I didn’t realize that Apple Pay had my shipping address wrong. So, right after the payment went through, I tried to reach out but the only form of contact I could find was an email. So I emailed them to explain and give the correct address for my order.

I didn’t get a reply for days... after my order shipped. The reply was simply, sorry your order already shipped.

That wasn’t good enough, so I asked them how we could get this resolved. A day later, they replied that they would give me a discount on my next order!

Really? There won’t be another order!

I replied to their email, explaining that if I never receive my order, they can keep their discount for the future order. SMH

I have used the mount for nearly a year and find that it does exactly what it is advertised to do. I mount the unit on the plastic bezel around my radio. It has not fallen off...ever. Let me offer a few suggestions that will help you:

1. Make sure you keep the mounting pad clean. Over a week of use, the pad will start collecting dust and any tiny debris that it picks up off your phone's case. There a few sticky pads that come with the device, but enough to keep it clean. The solution is simple. I carry a small roll of clear packing tape in my glove box. Once a week, I tear off a small piece and stick it on the rubber pad. Pull it off slowly and your suction pad will be better than new.

2. Make sure you are using a hard plastic case for your phone. Silicon, leather, and any case that has any texture will not work. Spiegel has a great case. I just bought the new clear plastic case from Apple for the new iPhone 11s...also works well.

3. Keep your case clean. Cases get oily and grimy really quickly.

4. Read the directions. It will tell you to apply 30-seconds of firm pressure to the mount, during the mounting procedure.

Enjoy the mount. It really works well.

Mine works great, awesome product, the only thing to note is that it does not work with silicone cases, had to get a new case. Now it sticks perfectly.

Literally the worst. I had a total of 3 sticks/drives. Then it couldn’t handle any more during driving and my phone would fly off and land under my feet. Just terrible. I’ll just go back to magnet.

Useless now! Bought 2 of these thinking they would be amazing based on reviews. 8 days into use, they are horrible! Mounts fall off when they get hot, and they will NOT hold a phone after the first week of use. Ive tried to clean the mount with tape, plain water, soapy water, even bought new cases and they still won't hold phones anymore. Have tried on the following phones with no more success on either mount with and without aftermarket cases: Galaxy S7, S8+, S10+, iPhone X, LG Q40. Now I'm stuck with 2 useless mounts and out $80. DO NO BUY THESE!!

Great products and the customer service is responsive and friendly. Can’t ask for anything more than that!

If I could give this "0" stars I would. Mount to the dash comes right off in the heat, and the phone does not stay on either. Complete and utter garbage! BEWARE - it is nearly impossible to get a refund!!! (I'm still trying to get mine)

What an awesome wireless charger for your car. I purchased the charger and iPhone XS Max cover and it works flawlessly. I was afraid of the holder not being able to handle the heat of the desert, but it's holding well in my car. I'm able to mount my phone and it begins charging immediately. Even though it was 117 degrees here yesterday, the holder held, charged my phone and I even ordered my Starbucks without the phone moving at all. I've had several different types of wireless charger including vent mounted, CD slot mounted and other stick on mounts, but this one is superior. Well done!

Charger itself works, but the holder failed after 2 uses. Tried a different case, as well as the ‘pad’ that came with it, neither would work. Tried to return it to company but they said that since it’s been longer then 14 days they can’t refund. STAY AWAY!

I bought the wireless charger and read the reviews trusting the company the wireless charging doesn’t work and the holder doesn’t work either which is ridiculous for the price I paid .

This is a very well-made product that does exactly what it says it does. It holds your phone superbly (just remember to keep it clean from dust) as well as charging it. They have used premium-quality materials and the base holds tight! Definitely would recommend this to all my family and friends!

Best and coolest device I’ve ever gotten it’s always so sticky and charges great! I’ve told all my friends to get one and they did and they all love it. Highly recommend.

I bought the Spiegel 2 and tried it out as soon as it arrived in my mailbox. I’m a commercial truck driver so I am on the road a lot, I wasn’t sure how it was going to hold up driving through some of the rough roads that I drive through but to my surprise my phone stayed on the Spiegel. Then one day it started to fall off, the suction on the Spiegel wasn’t there anymore but as soon as I cleaned it with the cleaning pad that comes included in the box it worked like new again and I ended up buying a second Spiegel. This is a great product and it works as advertised.

Product works great, as advertised. I actually emailed them about possibly making a lower profile one, and they said they already have one and they are sending me one for free. Pretty cool.

Right out of the box I was pleased with this product. It is made of solid material and works as described.

I love this product! It is super convenient to be able to mount and charge my phone by just slapping it on the mount. Because my vehicle does not have a smooth surface to adhere the 3M tape I also purchased the air vent adapter and now it works like a charm. You case does have to be smooth in order for the micro grip to work, but they provide stickers to put on your case to remedy this issue.

Most of all the support staff is fantastic! They have helped me with any questions or concerns I have had.
