IT IS A SCAM!!
My mother just got called from the salesperson and was about to sign a "contract". H e was saying she would get a fine, and it was a 14-day trial, and that they are WAYYYYY cheaper. So I searched up the companies name and I read all the reviews and the sales person was repeating exactly what the others were saying, indicating that this was a scam. My mom said she would call back after talking to my dad, but he was forcing her to sign the contract right now as you can cancel it in 14 days.
I had the exact same experience that 'Zied' had in his review of Gewoon energie.
They lied about who they are, and now i have to call them about 5 times per week to cancel a contract i didn't even want!

Like most of you i received a call from gewoon energie pretending that they the mother company of my current Supplier (Eneco) they gave me an offert and literally forced the accept, although i was pushing back and requesting some more time to review the condition. Unfortunately i accepted , and now i regret it.
As the cooling period still valid, i filled cancellation form on their website, but did't get a confirmation email yet !
I've had an absolutely terrible experience with Gewoon Energie and I feel compelled to share the details of my ordeal in the hopes that others can avoid the same nightmare.
First and foremost, this company has a shockingly irresponsible approach to billing. Instead of asking for accurate meter readings, they seem to prefer making wild guesses about our energy consumption. Unsurprisingly, these guesses are way off the mark, leading to exorbitant bills that we shouldn't be responsible for. It's absurd to be charged extra money just because they assume our energy consumption without any basis in reality.
The most infuriating part of this whole ordeal is their complete disregard for customer communication. I reached out to them multiple times via email to rectify the situation, and despite sending numerous reminders, they never responded. It's as if they're intentionally ignoring their customers, leaving us in the dark and wondering if they even care about providing quality service.
When I finally managed to get through to their customer care service, my hopes were instantly dashed. The representatives I spoke to were not only unhelpful, but they were also incredibly rude. They exhibited a complete lack of interest in finding a solution to the problems they had created. It's disheartening to be treated with such disrespect and apathy when all I wanted was a fair resolution.
Desperate to resolve this issue, I went above and beyond by providing them with a slew of documents as proof of our meter readings. I thought this would surely compel them to fix our final bill, but I was sorely mistaken. Despite the overwhelming evidence, they continue to drag their feet and neglect their responsibilities.
In summary, Gewoon Energie has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. Their failure to correct incorrect readings, their unjust overcharging, their refusal to ask for meter readings, their blatant disregard for customer emails, their incompetence in fixing billing errors, and their atrocious customer care service have all combined to create a truly abysmal experience. I implore anyone considering their services to steer clear, as this company seems more interested in squeezing every penny out of their customers than providing even a modicum of quality service. It's been a frustrating and disheartening experience dealing with them, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. Avoid this company at all costs!
