Extremely slow for processing

I have sold my gift cards to GCR 16 days ago. I mailed my gc out the same day as the selling order was created. So far, I still haven't got any update from them. If this is other gc exchange website, I would already have got paid by now, while GCR cannot even confirm that they have received my gift cards.

No Other Way to Say it except Absolutely Criminal!

Six weeks and could not get anyone on the phone through their completely bogus "customer service lines", after which I had to stay on hold for 32 minutes and threaten legal action to get a response. After week seven they declined the transaction and said I had to pay for the shipping if I wanted my card back valued at 1000.00 dollars. I sent a overnight envelope and prepaid and tracked postage and they will not send my card back in the mail. I have asked repeat times to be contacted by customer service without a reply. I will be contacting the local Maryland State Police and a Attorney and due to the amount that has been fraudulently withheld from me, criminal charges and a civil law suit are worth the trouble. This is not the way you do business and is not acceptable, they need to be held accountable for their actions.

Never received my payment and no response

I sold several ExxonMobile gift cards to gift card rescue. I mailed the cards the same day after creating the selling order. They did not receive my mail after 3 weeks? I sold cards to other merchants and get my check within a week! They eventually did confirm receiving my gift cards and 'processed' payment, and claimed check will be received in 3-7 business days. Notice that the two orders produced two checks in two SEPARATE mails. Now it is almost three weeks after 'payment processed' and I still have not received the payment. I emailed multiple times and was assured they did mail out the checks. So, the story is, two checks both lost in mail? Seriously? I doubt they even mailed out the checks based on other reviews! If I do not hear from them within the next week, I will resort to BBB. Stay away!

Horribly slow service and no way to speak to them.

I have read many of the other reviews, unfortunately after I mailed my gift cards. I placed my order on 5/18 and mailed the 2 gift cards within a few days. Then 5/29, I received a "friendly reminder" that my cards had not been received yet. I have yet to get confirmation from them that they have my cards and of course I have no check. These cards were worth over 900 and I am supposed to be getting me over 700 back. Does this company really think it's ok to drag out payments like this? Also I've emailed 4 complaints and called numerous times with no answer and then finally a click and a hang up. If I don't receive a response within another day and my check within 1-2 weeks, I'd be happy to join others in a class action lawsuit!!

horable coustmer service! Never got paid for my GC

I had a GC that i wanted to sell so i went with Gift card rescue because of shark tank. The price they were giving was basically the same as all the others. I sent my card in and it took about 2 weeks for them to process it. Then then they sent an email saying its been processed and payment will be on the way within a few days. It is now around 3 weeks later and no payment! I have wrote and called with no replies. I even contacted them trying to see if they received my card with no reply. The phone system has no message and just rings, even during business hours. Its been about a week with no reply in writing and they even say in there automatic message that it will be 1-2 business days!

I really want to be paid for my GC. Unless they can make this right with me, i will certainly never recommend or use this company again. I used another one in the past to buy GC and they were great. Great service, super fast delivery of GC i bought. I think they were gift card zen out of CO. I'll go with them in the further probably.

fraud gift card and slow review/refund process

I use to have good experience with this website and bough a couple good giftcards from them before. I recently have purchased a plastic gift card that should worth $200, but within a month when i went in store for purchases they told me the account of this card was closed. How embarrassing. I called the customer service of the giftcard issuer, they told me the original transaction to purchase the giftcard was not authorized by the credit card bank.
I told GCR about it, mailed the card back for refund and more than 3 weeks has passed but there is no answer nor refund!
I think GCR just lost my trust...

Unresponsive Customer Service

GiftCardRescue.com has really competitive pricing on discounted gift cards. I am dissatisfied with their customer service. After emailing to check in on what looked like a double-withdrawal from my credit card account, I received an automated response saying someone would get in touch with me in a couple days. No response, no anything. The burden of challenging double charges shouldn't be on the burden of the customer. Period.

The double charge was probably under "pending payments" on your credit card statement. One of these will drop off and you will not be charged double. If you continue to have a problem, please call customer service and they will be able to immediately assist you.

Needed some follow up but worked at the end.

I had to make multiple calls to get it processed. Didnt get any response initially event an email to them wasnt responded. Got to speak to someone at the end and was able to use the card in the store though its meant for online. Do I buy it from giftcardrescue next time? Yes i would.

zero customer service

If there is a problem with getting a bad card, or batch of bad cards, and sometimes there is, they will not respond to emails or phone calls. No matter how many you send, not even automated responses. I have had problems for about 4 months getting these guys to refund bad cards. $2000 worth. When the cards work, they are fine, but for the savings and convienience it has it's downfalls

Excellent buyer experience

I have purchased discounted gift cards from Gift Card Rescue for several years. They continue to improve their service and are very competitive with other secondary market sellers. I have never sold them cards, so I am not familiar with that part of their business.

READ THE OTHER REVIEWS! TOTAL SCAM

I bought $235.10 worth of Home Depot E-gift cards from them. 2 days later when the e-codes should be available, I get an email saying I need to call in to verify the account. I call them on two different numbers multiple times, never getting a response. Each time the phone just rings and rings for well over 10 mins (I think it was 13 mins each?). I call them back the next day, same thing, and on my third try on the second number, ten more minutes of ringing later, I FINALLY get someone. He puts me on hold for another 10 mins, and then hangs up on me. I call back, no response. No email, no phone call back, nothing. Every E-mail I sent after that got no response.

My account needed to be verified, but they had no issue charging the card beforehand and had no interest in refunding the money after. Luckily my credit card company gave me my money back at their expense by issuing a chargeback. I gave them their chance to avoid the chargeback fee by answering me back and providing my cards or refund, but they just ignored my emails and phone calls. I hope others follow suit and issue chargebacks so they get hit with more fees and end their fraudulent business.

Why do they make you wait for ecodes?

I need my ecard right away. GiftCardZen, Raise, SaveYa, and Cardpool all give you ecodes right away (i.e., within an hour), so why does GiftCardRescue.com make you wait "a few days" to get your ecard? Per GiftCardRescue.com's 5/2/16 reply to Duncan: "If you want an ecard sent immediately call customer service and they will release it with no extra charge." I just tried calling Customer Service, and the phone rang for about 11 minutes(!!!) before I got a recording saying I needed to leave a message for someone to call me back "within the next business day." And GiftCardRescue.com's website doesn't explain how long you should expect to wait for your ecard (so I assumed it would be sent immediately). Now I guess I'll have to cancel my gift card order. Very Frustrating!!!!!!!

Awful

Sent my cards in April 27th. Didn't "get there" until May 13th. Asked for a picture of my ID, A utility bill, and my receipts for the purchase. Provided all of that. Then they asked for a copy of the credit card I used for the purchase. Other websites have about a two week turnaround time. This is coming on one month with no end in sight. I doubt I get my money or my cards back. I feel as if I have been entered in a fraud scam and will changing my account and debit card numbers.

I wish I had read the reviews

I wish I had read the reviews before I tried to do business with them. I was in need of cash, and even though they only offered less than 50 cents on the dollar, I wanted cash instead. So I sent my stuff in. They "lost" it. Finally it shows up but now they refuse to accept it. But they are so gracious as to say I can donate it to them...use someone else.

I did eventually make it through!

Sold some cards and bought some cards about the same time. Maybe a day or two apart. Took about four weeks to get the cards and NINE WEEKS to get my check for what I sent. I was given the run around and was lied to repeatedly. At least I got my money. But what a terrible hassle!! Absolutely not worth it. Ebay next time...

Will not refund unuseable Lowes giftcards

On January 4th I purchased giftcards from Giftcardrescue.com. Prior to the arrival of these cards I was notified that the Lowes cards I had purchased would not be valid and the amount paid would be credited to my Giftcard Rescue account. I have since been if contact with this company nearly a dozen times between phone calls and emails and I have yet to receive a refund. Seeing a bunch of recent terrible reviews I feel certain that this company knowingly sold me unusable cards with no intention of ever processing a refund.

So sick and tired of running after this company for my money!!!!

Same story as everyone else', I been running after this company that owes me $400.00 for some gift cards I sold to them since Februar. Called and left over 15 mmessages and voice mails. When they do answer, I am always told that my check has been shipped which is a lie! The last update I got from them was that a manual check was shipped and I should receive it by 05/06/2016. Still no check!!! To begin with, since my first check was not received,bI was told I had to wait 45 days from the first ship date before they can processe onther check manuall. I already filled a complaint with the attorney and better business bureau. I will keep going till I get myoney giftcard rescue even if it means taking you to court. All the information on your site about timing matters is totally different then what you quote your customerss!!! This is called false advertising!!!!!

Gift Card Fraud

I bought a gift card from them and they sold me a card with 0 balance. On dispute they say, I should have disputed in a day. They sold the gift card to someone else and now wont refund me the money. Buy from them if you plan to spend the gift card in less than 24 hours. What a model?

Horrible company...issues worthless gift cards, doesn't attempt to correct

I ordered a 100 walmart gift card on 4/22. Tried to use it in store 4/24, said not valid number. Tried online, same issue. Logged refund request 4/24, it's now 5/13 have gotten no response. I would never.use this company again....beware. It wasn't worth saving $4 to lose $96 and all the hassle of trying to recover it from a company that has zero customer service.

So Unbelievably Tired of Dealing With Them

Absolute worst company...lies on lies on lies. They constantly lie about issuing payment...I sent my card in April 14th and it is now July 11th and I still haven't been paid. They've told me twice that they've reissued the payment and still no check. This is fraud and theft. Everyone who is experiencing this should file a complaint with the FTC. Search FTC consumer fraud complaint and file.
Enough is enough with these people.
