I liked the convenience of Giftya. My only issue is that I never received a notification that it had been delivered. So I had to ask the recipient if they got it which is kinda tacky.

I was in need of urgent fuel for my vehicle. After checking sites that could produce a “virtual card” or any way that fuel could be purchased with a digital form of payment instantly or very quickly, a family member sent a “Circle K” gift card. Upon receiving the email for the “gift card” the ONLY option to “redeem” was to send to a visa or Mastercard. Thats odd, it was supposed to be a Circle K gas card, why can I transfer this to my debit card?. I was not able to use my card at the time, so I “gifted” it to a friend, for the BS $1.95 “fee”. Based upon my previous experience, I told her she could transfer the money to her debit card then send me the money. She activates the card and ALLLL of a sudden it’s magically turned back into a “circle k” ONLY gas card and in order to “gift” the card back to me, pay ANOTHER $1.95 BS fee. WHY WAS I NOT GIVEN THAT OPTION IN THE FIRST PLACE the way that it originally was sent to me as a Circle K gift card? Highly pi$$ed off as this was NOT the “straight forward” get a gift card and use it right away the way the website had described. I was in a financial/fuel pickle at the time(still fricken am) and trusted that it was a pretty straightforward process….. ANYTHING BUT

I tried sending a Giftya to someone who doesn't have mobile. Unfortunately, due to the requirement of mobile number for accounts instead of email even if the sent using email, they were not able to redeem it. When I changed the recipient, I also cannot redeem it for the person I was sending it to because of issues and the system not allowing self gifting. I understand not being able to self gift. However, the requirement of having a mobile number feels absurd because you should be able to use both mobile number or email two step confirmation to redeem the card. Gave two stars because I understand my situation was unusual. Could've given one due to how much time I spent to get no results on this app.
Some dollars down the drain

I love the selection & ease of the site. The GC can be used digitally also, which makes sending a birthday gift super easy. I’m forever sending last minute gifts. Giftya makes it a breeze.

Easy to navigate but you gotta have patience. If you have any trouble, don’t hesitate to message customer support. I love this app. Super convenient to use, and I, myself, haven’t had any issues. I do see others have, but don’t be afraid to communicate w them!

I bought a $7 gift card for someone, paid $1.5 fee. The person tried to redeem it through Zelle (when he saw that card with no numbers to use for a transaction) and was required to pay $4. What the heck for?

Confusing for no reason, not user friendly, useless staff, don't use this.

Terrible experience and definitely did not in any way feel like a gift.

Awful. They let the visa card be redeemed by someone I've never heard of. My friend never got the card or the money and I have to dispute with my credit card company. You can't get a hold of any real person, everything is AI generated responses. Do NOT use this company, nothing but a headache!

Just don’t. Go to the actual establishment and get the gift card or order directly off the establishment website. For the gifter the process seems simple! But for the one receiving the gift it’s extremely frustrating and almost impossible to redeem. The only option they offer you is to “contact your cell phone provider” if you don’t receive a text. They make it seem like you are the problem when it’s clearly them having the issues. Customer support is very “short” too sending only templates responses. Giftya should maybe treat their employees better cause none of them seem happy and rightfully so as I’m sure they get a ton of emails with frustrated people. Save yourself the energy- don’t order through them.

Took my money, never received a gift card! TOTAL SCAM. I am disputing the charge! Buyer Beware!!!!

This company is not selling gift cards. They are transferring money by pretending to sell gift cards. They take your money and fees and then send it to the recipient by linking their bank account or credit card. Don't waste you money. Use Zelle or Venmo.

So hard to redeem YOUR money. I thought its was a scam! But you just have to just thought hoops.

bought a $150
00 gift card for my boyfriend. He received it but no code to activate it. He's been emailing me all day for help, They keep sending ME the code which only stays on the screen for a split second that even Superman wouldn't have time to write down and when I finally find it and send it to him he says thats not it. Very frustrating. why is it sent to me,I don't understand.. I want it cancelled! I've wasted a whole day on this nonsense! Other companies give the code with the card.

A friend tried sending some money to help me out. He attempted to send $75 three separate times. None of the money came through and when he complained that I didnt receive it, they said they would refund it back to him. Only one of the charges got back to him so essentially Giftya just got a damn gift for themselves, I really hope yall needed the $150 more than me!! Do not waste your money with company! It's a shame cuz it's a great concept!

I started using other companies because your website didn’t work . It wouldn’t accept my card anymore after I have used it 10
Times on your site . Really bad experience so now I use another company for this . I do a lot of these for work

Got $65 as a gift-if I linked to my debit card I would get $10 bonus. I did this but never had my debit card with me to use at the specific store. That debit card expired so I wanted to switch the $75 to my new debit card. Couldn’t do it through the website, chatbot didn’t help. Ended up creating a ticket for email correspondence and the reply was unhelpful. I ended up linking the store specific card to be able to use my GiftYa balance, but lost the bonus $10 by doing so. Went to the store and paid with the card and guess what-there wasn’t a $65 credit applied to the purchase. COMPLETE SCAM! I feel bad for the person that wasted their money by sending a gift with GiftYa.

Giftya offers PayPal as an option for payment and then doesn’t accept it!
I didn’t realize this until I noticed that the payment was processing for a day and then I had to find out on my own that the PayPal option could not be processed. This resulted in a late ecard! Evidently a lot of people had problems too because I was told customer support would get back to me in 4 to 5 hours!

I linked my debit card and got a confirmation notice. I had $60 in my account. The gift ya was for stop&shop. I used my card at stop and shop for $50. The gift ya was for $100. After I got back to my car I checked my account. $10!!! Nothing from gift ya!!!! I live in my car!!! Now I can't get gas!!! Horrible experience, its 15° out and I can't run my heater

This is a scam that uses the store's logo in their advertising. I thought I was purchasing a gift card directly from the store. There is NO live agent to talk to & their voice menu claims there are NO refunds. VERY misleading advertising especially if you have Dyslexia.
