Trash Shipping Policies
Their shipping policies are absolute trash. It takes around 10 days to receive your order, but if they deliver it incorrectly, they make you wait an additional 5 business days or 7 regular days to look into it. They say it’s because FedEx can mark things as delivered up to 5 days prior to the actual delivery, but I have never in my life encountered that, especially with the all timestamps they provide to track the shipping process. Unless you have a photo of it being delivered to the wrong address, or you know your neighbor has it (which at that point why would you contact them when you can get it directly from your neighbor??) they make you wait.
Then when they finally do agree you won’t receive the item, it’s another waiting game for it to hopefully get redelivered correctly. It’s absolutely horrendous to make your customers wait ONE MONTH to get their order. And then have to pay a $11 return shipping fee if they don’t want it. Like I said, absolute trash

I ordered a Jonathan Adler Como vase which is acrylic. The top of the vase had a chunk taken out of it and looked as though it had been glued back in. A very noticeable crack and under a lamp you could clearly see this was a damaged vase. I told them that I didn’t feel as though they should make me pay the return shipping due to it being damaged. They obviously don’t care about their customers as they deducted the shipping from the amount. Extremely poor customer service. My first and only purchase from this company. Buyer beware.

One of the worst companies to order clothing from. Avoid at all cost. Even though the customer service rep was helpful to me it was out of her hands because the company return policy is scammy and will double charge you. They are not transparent and do not provide a thorough paper trail. My product dimensions also did not fit the description on the website and came extremely faded. Overall horrible experience I wish I came here to read the reviews first. Do not trust a company with faulty and confusing fine print. They should not be in operations and I would not be surprised if a lawsuit is on its way.
Fake items - Stay away from them

Im surprised at all the negative reviews. I have not had a bad experience at all. I've purchased from Gilt several times 5 to 10 roughly. I bought a Noize coats and needed a different size. No problems return was smooth and so was the repurchase. Ive bought gifts and clothing etc. And actually one item, a toy that was supposed to be non returnable came damaged and they sent a new one and didnt have to send back the damaged one. Ive bought Tory Burch bag and a Mackage coat both appear to be quality and authentic. Thought Id share my positive experiences since everyone else is so eager beaver to point out negative ones.

Terrible return service. Don’t buy from them. Items come damaged. They charged my credit for a new item and sent it. And then gave me a credit on my gilt account. In effect this was a way of just stealing extra money from me.
The return policy is inconsistent
The return policy is inconsistent. You have to check each item's status. This allows a loophole in which low quality or damaged products can be sold at high prices and not returned.
This was my first and last time buying. I would never think in today's day and age that a varying return policy would not be more visible when purchasing an item. In order to be certain, a purchaser must look through the fine print for each item.

A BAD COPY OF A DRESS
I am in the process of returning a copy of a dress that I ordered. The dress showed on line is 100% different from what I have received. I feel drained, really!!! No more Gilt.com for me when it comes to clothes.

The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. While the site generally offers a good selection of products, handling of orders is as careless as it gets and customer support team is generally rude and unprofessional.
I placed an order early on October 26 and was offered two options for the delivery: a regular one with the delivery on November 6-8 and an expedited one for an extra fee of $15 to receive the order by November 3-4. I opted and paid for the expedited one as the order was for a specific event. It’s November 6, and the item hasn’t even shipped yet! Over 11 days there has been no change in the status of the order from the moment I placed it. While I appreciate that the transit process might not be under the full control of Gilt, I’d certainly expect that at least making the shipping arrangements would be. Contacting the customer service team seems useless - for each email (within the scope of the already open and active customer service ticket!) they take ~2 business days to respond and do so in the most generic, copy-paste way (e.g. suggesting that next time the expected delivery time can be checked before placing an order…). I reached out to the customer support on November 1, flagging that likely there is an issue with processing the order, but until now, there’s been absolutely no progress except for those generic emails.
I’ve been Gilt’s customer since 2021, but after this experience do NOT recommend it at all. Very frustrating and disappointing.

I also agree with the poor ratings. The refund process is the worst. In my case, the watch was stolen from the box before I received it, and it took more than two weeks to get my money back. I sent numerous emails to request my refund. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with the delivery service.

Perfume is cheap imposter.
I bought a bottle of Roberto Cavalli signature perfume from Gilt. I've been wearing this scent for a very long time, but this is the first time buying from Gilt. When i finally received it 2 weeks later, it was NOT Roberto Cavalli. The bottle is different and the smell is cheap, sweet, little girl smelling perfume. I contacted Gilt asking for resolution to the matter and they ignored me and have not responded. 0/10. I'm out over $50 with no resolution in site.
