Bought an expensive helmet for my boyfriend and it was too small so I sent it back for an exchange. It took the company over two months to tell me they didn’t have it in stock, after countless emails... See more

They have no spare(s)….
….and don’t really care.
Think carefully about buying a Giro cycling helmet as once the padded inserts have gone you may not be able to get replacements. Worse still when contacting their customer service team to try to get support for this, only a stock answer comes back along the lines of ‘we don’t have them and sorry we can’t help further’.
So upwards of £200 for a helmet that is then rendered pretty much unusable and no sense that they are bothered by that.
terrible customer service
I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. My order has been stuck with their Courier for 2 weeks with no update. I have emailed their customer service team twice and heard nothing. I managed to speak to someone on their web chat who said they would contact the courier and send me a copy of the transcript over email - but nothing was received. They clearly couldn't care less
Footwear comfort guarantee ridiculous
Purchased cycling shoes because of their so called Footwear Comfort guarantee - they will work with you to ensure you get the right shoe. Utter joke!!! You have to pay to return the item to get a code to use against another purchase. Don’t see that as helpful! Will send back and never shop from them again.
Terrible Service Experience - A Shambles
I returned a Tor Spherical Ski Helmet due to the chin strap loosening during the day which I thought could be potentially dangerous. Once it was returned, they were difficult to contact, did not reply to messages for days and I had to keep calling a landline that mostly reverted to an answering machine. They then asked for my full bank account details by email, which I did not want to supply for security reasons and asked if I could call instead, to which I did not get a reply. After nearly a month of persistent calling and emails they eventually refunded the product, but did not refund the cost of returning the faulty product to them.
Disappointing
Bought some cycle mitts. Stange sizing, so I returned them. Because I had to pay for delivery and return I’m over £6 out of pocket just to try them on.
Last Giro Helmet I buy
I bought the Giro Agilis helmet which has been good apart from the pads inside. I washed them in a sock bag as per instructions. On the second wash they fell apart. I have been trying to obtain replacements for over 6 months. On two occasions I have registered to get an email when they were. Others must have the same issue as soon I received the email and went on line they were out of stock! I was informed by customer service after missing out on the last occasion there would be more in stock on the 20/10/23 and they provide me with a link. I have received no notification that the pads are available - the link does not work - and you can not even find the pads on the UK website now! Last Giro helmet I buy. Now useless and cost a lost. Very disappointed and annoyed. It would be good to know if and when the replacement pads will actually be in stock.
Helmets recalled no support
Helmets I purchased were recalled due to a manufacturing issue with the straps coming seperated from the helmet. I was given a code to get a free replacement, however all the helmets were out of stock until many months later. By the time the helmet were in stock, the code I was given had become invalid. I contacted customer service about this issue and never heard anything back.
I own 2 of the recalled helmets which are both used extensively, for a company to be so lax about the recall and replacment of a safety product which they sell is terrible.
Purchased the Giro Essence
Purchased the Giro Essence, the fit is good, the shied let’s snow and air in, eyes hurt from watering which causes nose to RUN all day, can only wear this on sunny days with no wind. Uncommon here at Grand Targhee, alot of people ask about the helmet, I can not recommend it, sorry! Check out the snow drifts in the picture
Ordered a new helmet on the 12th…
Ordered a new helmet on the 12th December that I still have not received! Chased customer services multiple times with emails. Useless response ‘we will look into it’ then no follow up! Now having to get my bank involved to try and reclaim my money! How are companies allowed to operate like this…. Unchecked and unaccountable as long as they have our money. Avoid using this company at all cost!!!! Terrible!
Awful customer service
I made an order on 24th November. It has not arrived or even been dispatched as far as I can make out. I have emailed Customer services 5+ times and finally received a one line response after I followed their complaints policy - ‘we will check with our courier’ and then nothing. Absolutely useless, waste of time and money
BEWARE OF GIRO.com Ordered item from giro..

Very poor Crash warranty outside USA
Very poor Crash warranty outside USA. Purchased new Giro Spherical Helmet, unfortunately crashed after one week from purchase. Crash replacement in Australia (Distributor Shepperd Cycles) is only a 40% discount off a AUD$380 helmet, meaning that by the time you ship it back to them the cost for new helmet is pretty much RRP!!! Other local AU helmet providers such as TREK offer full crash replacement within one year. Very disappointed ( unless they change position I wont buy Giro again )
