This trip was the highlight of my year.

The Gite is both peaceful and social so you can spend time together or get some peace and quiet if that's what you're looking for.

Julie and James' hospitality was just perfect. Helpful and welcoming with some great banter mixed in.

Julie's food was also incredible. A big shout out to the locally hunted wild boar stew she cooked up that was so tasty it converted a friend of mine - who I'd only known to be a vegetarian - to eat meat for the first time in years!

Can strongly recommend this as a holiday. Would rate 6/5 if I could.

The gite is a stunning sanctuary nestled between vineyards with plenty of space to come together as a group or spend time to yourself. I hope to come back next summer and see the lovely hosts again!

Had an incredible time relaxing in the French countryside at Gîte Cruon! The house is incredibly spacious, and charmingly decorated, situated less than 5 minutes away from a vineyard. Julia and James are fantastic hosts, who anticipated their guests' every need, a highlight for me was Julia's delicious cooking!

We had the best time at Gite Cruon, it was absolute bliss to be staying in amongst the vineyards. Everything is set up perfectly with a great pool and a local wine tasting, I could’ve stayed for a month. Julia and James were fantastic hosts and great chefs, with delicious meals every night. Highly recommend, can’t wait to go back.

I had such a great time at Gîte Cruon. Julia and James are honestly the nicest hosts, super welcoming and always happy to help out with anything. The place itself is gorgeous, with a swimming pool and surrounded by vineyards. My highlight had to be the food, every meal was restaurant quality. Make sure you try some of Julia's world famous hot sauce.

Beautiful place, the hosts - James and Julia are extremely helpful, friendly and amazing cooks (julia). The views were spectacular, the gite was cozy and spacious at the time, food was delicious and the property is next to a wine vineyard, which we had a tour of which. There is a lovely pool which is great for a hot day. 10/10 would visit again

Lovely host, great food - tasty veggie options but the local wild boar stew smelt so good I broke my vegetarianism for it - and it was worth it!

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Julia and James’s gite. Stunning location surrounded by vineyards, All the amenities you could need for a truly relaxing and comfortable holiday, and top tier hosting to boot.

So much fun, can’t wait to return next year!

I spent an unforgettable weekend at Gitecruon! Julia and James were fantastic hosts and very accommodating, even taking the time to take us to a local festival. The Gite was wonderfully located amongst the French idyll but still close to amenities and only a short train from Bordeaux so it really is the best of both worlds.

What an incredible location and what lovely hosts! Gite Cruon is the perfect place to spend a holiday, visit vineyards and experience the local culture. I would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Julia and James are the perfect hosts and I had the best weekend staying at their place. The location is gorgeous and their place has everything you could need - cannot recommend it enough!
