I gave very little direction, yet he delivered something truly special and fully branded. The guests and I all agreed this was genuinely the best cake we’ve ever tasted. Thank you, Giuseppe!

My wife recently attended an all day course near Cheltenham. The instructions, delivery, ingredients etc were all excellent.
Unfortunately Anne forgot to buy a Giuseppe apron, but one was purchased later on-line. There were some web problems, but a brief exchange with Guiseppe in person corrected the matter on a 'trust' basis. Excellent customer service, wouldn't hesitate to recommend l.

What a great rolling pin. Grazie Giuseppe. My Christmas cake has the most wonderfully straight and even marzipan and icing. Can wait to use it for croissants

Would love to give a positive review, but i can't even sign up to the newsletter without 'captcha' shutting me out. And as for trying to order anything... will not accept any of my payments. Website needs some serious overhaul as i've tried to do this on both Safari and Edge. Sorry Joe.

My mom and I flew from the US to England specifically for Giuseppe's class, and it exceeded our expectations! Everything we needed was already set up for us, and Giuseppe did a wonderful job explaining each step of the recipes. The other bakers were warm and welcoming, and it felt like I was baking with friends. The highlight was sitting down for a delicious meal prepared by Giuseppe and discussing with everyone how the day went. It was a one of a kind experience that I will remember forever. We plan on signing up for another class soon!

I had the most amazing time at the Autumn Bakes class – learnt loads and loved every minute!
The cookery school kitchen was beautifully laid out and ready for us – each station had a Giuseppe apron, a chef’s hat with our name on it, our recipe folder, and all the equipment we needed. Giuseppe talked us through each stage of the recipes as we followed along. I haven't baked for years, so thankfully it was easy to follow and wasn’t judged Bake Off style – Giuseppe and his lovely helpers came round to check we were on track, and we could ask questions throughout.
The class ran from 10am–4pm, and I still can’t believe we managed five bakes, a long coffee break (where we got to eat one of our creations!), and an incredible lunch cooked by Giuseppe himself – yes, with another bake for dessert!
I really did learn so much - I had no idea you could put grapes in a cake! My favourites were the apple and rum cakes – both tasted like a cosy, homely Christmas. The gorgeous recipe cards we got to take home were such a lovely touch, and the lunch cooked by Giuseppe himself was divine.
It was such fun – lots of laughter, delicious bakes, and the warmest hospitality. Thank you, Giuseppe, for an unforgettable time - I could listen to your entertaining stories forever!

I had the absolute pleasure of taking the week long baking course from Giuseppe at Castello di Montalero for their first ever Bake Off Week. I specifically went there to take the course from Giuseppe after admiring him on the show.
As a group we were taught classic Italian bakes such as rustici leccesi, focaccia, biscotti, nocciolatini, and even made out own pizza for dinner. This was not the typical “watch and learn” course. This was hands-on, interactive experience with Giuseppe demonstrating, assisting, moving about, and visiting! He made a point to get to know each one of us and took the time to inscribe a personal message in his autographed cookbook that was included in the course. I can say without a doubt that we were all touched by his kind words.
The course included excursions to the goat farm where our morning yogurt was made, the hazelnut and saffron farm, and local farmer’s market and infernots. It was truly a baking experience.
It was an amazing week+ where this solo traveler and first-time-to-Europe felt completely at ease and welcome. Every single person in the group was friendly and genuine. To me that speaks volumes about Giuseppe, and the type of people he attracts. He has gained a forever fan in me.

To be a good cook you have to have a love of the good, a love of hard work, and a love of creating.” Julia Child was spot on when she said this and Giuseppe Dell’Anno clearly knows this. Having flown over to Cheltenham for two of his classes and to Piemonte, Italy for his first ever, 8-day course at the Castello di Montalero Cookery School, I can say that Giuseppe is the kindest and most generous instructor. You learn so much more than just a few recipes! Remember, this man is a scientist; he is technical and precise. Rest assured, everything from ingredients, to proving and cooling times has been accounted for ahead of time. Never are you handed a bunch of ingredients and left to sort things out. These are highly curated baking and cooking experiences. And the best part? You could be a highly seasoned baker or a novice still finding her way around a kitchen; either way, you will have fun and learn! A lot. Giuseppe has such an easy way about him that you cannot help but to feel comfortable in his classes. He knows his students by name and always assists you personally. While you are baking heavenly treats and mouth-watering focaccia, he will share stories as well as tips and tricks of the trade. Have questions? ASK! His classes are chock full of detail on tips and techniques and “Oh, by the way, you can also try this…” moments. I can also say that the people who are drawn to his classes have all been so lovely and because of that I now have many new friends.
If you’ve read this far, you are a true fan of Giuseppe’s so you know that baking is joy. It brings memories and feelings. It uses all of your senses and hence, your creativity. Giuseppe knows this, too. His classes expertly impart joy and friendship and yes, fantastic bakes. Don’t hesitate! Sign up!

The online videos which teach baking techniques cannot compare to the care and interest which Giuseppe takes with each person during his baking classes. He is generous with his time as well as with his deep baking expertise. His self-deprecating humor and quick sense of humor make the classes an incredibly memorable experience not to be missed.

Giuseppe was one of the best additions to our wedding day. We went BIG with the cakes. We decided we wanted a cake per table as the centrepiece, so we were able to go to each table at the end of the wedding breakfast and cut each cake and serve it as the pudding. Being big LEGO fans we thought the cakes could be in the shape of a LEGO brick. We knew this would be a big job so wanted to make sure we got the right person for it. We enquired with Giuseppe and the effort put into the research and preparation for our quote was incredible. This filled us with confidence that he was the right person for such an important part of our day.
The cakes looked and tasted brilliant. They were a massive hit with all of our guests and everyone still talks to us about how good they were weeks later. So much effort was put into the look of the cake, even down to square edges and the LEGO writing on each stud.
I would recommend Giuseppe to anyone who wants the perfect cake for their day.

I flew all the way from the US to attend Giuseppe’s “20-Minute Cakes” class as a birthday gift to myself—and it was worth every mile!
From the moment I started watching Bake Off, I was captivated by Giuseppe’s genuine kindness and his love of baking. Like him, I share a strong bond with my father, and it’s clear that the recipes and passion passed down from his dad shine through.
The day began with coffee (yay!) and delicious bites that Giuseppe had prepared for us to enjoy as we gathered and introduced ourselves. His warmth set the perfect tone for the day.
Throughout the class, Giuseppe’s knowledge, ability to explain, and sense of humor created a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We made three cakes and cupcakes, and Giuseppe demonstrated two delicious sauces to elevate our bakes even further.
The Foodworks Cookery School was spotless, organized, and spacious. All the ingredients were pre-measured, and every piece of equipment was provided. Best of all, there was no need to worry about cleanup—everything was taken care of.
We ended the day with a beautiful spread, also made by Giuseppe, out on the patio. We enjoyed a gorgeous charcuterie board, red pepper soup, bread, onion chutney, salad, wine, and of course, all the cakes we’d baked during the class.
I hadn’t brought boxes to transport my cakes, but Giuseppe provided them, along with a tote bag, so I could safely carry my creations back to my AirB&B and then home to Georgia. My husband was thrilled!
I honestly can’t remember what I did for my 50th birthday, but I know I’ll never forget my 60th. It was the most special day, spent with a truly special human. If you have the chance to attend one of Giuseppe’s classes or buy his cookbooks, do it—you won’t be disappointed! The cakes were delicious and the company was fantastic.
One PERFECT day. Thank you, Giuseppe!

We contacted Giuseppe to ask if he could make us a special birthday cake for our 2 year old daughter.
Giuseppe was extremely responsive and gave us a great plan tailored to our specific requests.
He put together the most delicious, stunning cake with home made jam, various fruits with an amazing Italian meringue buttercream. All our guests couldn’t get enough!
We highly recommend Giuseppe to all our family and friends.

A relaxed day in good company with a fab teacher. This baking class was a wonderful experience. As a keen, but relatively recent baker, the day provided a fantastic opportunity to learn so much more.
Arrival and coffee gave the opportunity to meet the other participants. Foodworks is a bright space, not too big, and very well equipped. All of the ingredients are ready, weighed to speed up baking, allowing many more gorgeous treats to be created throughout the day. Additionally, there are other chefs on hand to support each stage of the bake, if necessary.
Guiseppe is very approachable, generous, and passionate about baking. He is keen to share useful tips and insights. If you enjoyed watching Guiseppe in Bake Off, then this will be a fabulous experience. Guiseppe also cooked lunch for us it was the perfect way to end the day. Four thoughtful, tasty courses. I would happily attend every class. My family thoroughly enjoyed the different bakes created. I’m even more inspired. The cupboards are now stocked, ready for dinner parties and birthday baking.
A truly wonderful experience(and birthday present). Thank you.

We asked Giuseppe to bake our son’s wedding Cake and he did a splendid job of it! The bride and groom had a very clear idea of what they wanted and Giuseppe delivered a beautiful cake exactly how they wanted it to look and taste! Great touch having the samples of the cakes sent to the bride and groom for their OK. All the guests loved it…and there was enough for us to have an extra slice the day after ;)

I've done 3 separate classes with Giuseppe now and have both of his books. The classes are immense fun and you leave having had a fantastic lunch and with boxes of your baked goodies.
Thoroughly recommend both the books and the classes and I've already booked another one for next year as a birthday present to myself.
