Excellent quality

I was able to see how my new glasses would look on a downloaded self portrait before I ordered. Big range of frames. They were supplied quickly to my prescription. They fit well and many people have said how good they look. They are comfortable, light and most importantly provide perfect varifocal vision.

Amazing!!

Amazing!!! Customer service was great. I wasn't sure they could help me with having a high Prescription, but no problem at all. I never leave reviews but the value and quality is that good. Will be buying again. Thank you.

Choice, price, simplicity of ordering all amazing!

Choice of glasses frames was far better than I could find elsewhere, with floral, multicoloured and a variety of shapes available. As someone who looks for interesting design and colour, that was my main reason for ordering from you -and prices and ease of ordering were amazing!

Waiting

Can't give a review on glasses yet as I haven't received them.
Ordered on 4th September, 15 days later still waiting.
I'm mainly disappointed because when ordering the glasses it stated they would be ready in 6-9 days, I'd rather it said minimum 2 weeks then at least I would have known a timescale.

Their policy is you can return your glasses but when I trie too they said I couldn’t because their was a scratch! I had wore the maybe 5 times and their was no visible scratch on them .! My husband , son an d I still cannot find the scratch. It is a scam !! And they assured me I could return them ! Never again will I shop at glasses hut . !!

Substandard & untrustworthy.

Substandard, damaged pair of glasses received! Photo and first email on day of receipt (with request for return of spectacles & refund) ignored! Follow-up email also ignored! NO POSTAL ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER supplied on website!

Too risky to use again

Too risky to use again.
Took twice as long to arrive.
Ordered 3rd July - Arrived 27th July.
Ignored me when I wanted to complain and/or cancel.
Glasses are lightweight but seem OK so far. Had a better experience with Spex4Less.

Definitely wont be using again

The money has been taken and a text was sent a month ago advising my glasses had been shipped but nothing received. Delivery stated it should have been within 12 days from the order date.

Lacking in customer support/care

The communication with this company was absolutely abysmal!
Received my order eleven days after I was sent a text to say my order had been dispatched. Customer support/care was extremely unhelpful.
Such a shame, because the glasses are what I ordered. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn’t for the customer care or lack of.

No delivery zero customer service

Order completed on the 26 April still not delivered 11 days later and counting. No email response to my query of order - nothing. No contact telephone number on webpage. This review of their poor customer service is my only recourse to get some response.

AVOID

Ordered standard single lens glasses on the 8th April, and paid for a postage service with 6 to 9 day delivery. Chased with of course no response. Now on 2nd May - the glasses are finally in the depot with an equally useless company in the UK on 28th April, who tell me to chase the supplier after another 48 hours (the contract is of course with Glasses Direct, not me, so they can pass the buck if they just hold it in the depot). No response from the supplier so far so I am not really holding out much hope for these glasses. I will be, however, emailing the company every day.

Stupidly I didn't read reviews before ordering, which I usually do. I am trying to get back the charge of £5.95 to pay for delivery within 6 to 9 days back with no response. I suspect if the glasses are rubbish and not to my prescription I will get no money back judging by the non-response so far, since I emailed them weeks ago before my order was even in the UK.

They say you can return your goods within 30 days of ORDER. UK law says you should get them within that time, whether perfect or faulty, or the order is void.

But Glasses Hut doesn't say that because it isn't a UK company, and it isn't bound by UK law, so in effect, there are actually no guarantees with this.

If the delivery company I am struggling with decides not to deliver within the period of 30 days of my order I am not covered by law or Glasses Hut reassurances, am I?

What if your goods are faulty or delivered within 30 days of the point of ORDER, i.e. not DELIVERY with you can actually see they are faulty?!!! They have no incentive to deliver within the period, do they, if the goods are faulty?

Please check that you are dealing with any company registered in the UK (on Companies House) before ordering anything because you are not necessarily covered by law on purchases from overseas. If goods are not delivered within a month from a company outside the UK you are not covered through law. I cannot ascertain where Glasses Hut are registered. Apart from the website they are invisible.

You can get better service, and actually as good bargains, elsewhere through UK registered companies, and you can be assured of your rights. Check where your goods are coming from, and what legal rights you have before ordering.

I will, of course, invite Glasses Hut to put in a rebuttal to this, apart from a standard answer about using the "complaints procedure" or "customer service" which they ignore repeatedly.

Updated on 4th May the delivery company tell me they have lost them and tell me to contact Glasses Hut. I have been contacting Glasses Hut many times with absolutely no response whatsoever! I understand that the glasses are cheap to some but they are a lot of money to me! I think I will just have to write off this one.

UPDATE - After one month of ordering they decided to reply after threatening them with Trading Standards. They are blaming it on Yodel and telling me their customer service is excellent in a poorly spelt email with absolutely no grammar in it. You completely ignored all my emails so far until then and do not have a working phone or webchat line. Do not treat me like a mug, or deny my experience. The right to reply is here. If you cannot take it up you have no defence. The problem is both yourselves and Yodel, but mostly yourselves.

The UK public are just so sick of companies like this.
