One day winter mountain skills course

We took the one day Mountain Winter Skills course last week on 16th January. Nic was our teacher and guide. It was excellent in every way. A little informal teaching at first, and then quickly out on the mountains. Conditions were ideal for learning proper usage of crampons and ice axes and everything that we needed was loaned for the day by the centre itself. Nic was full of information and enthusiasm and we couldn't fault anything about the day, having got right to the top of Cairn Gorm, despite the snow and ice. Additionally, we were due to do the course in December but had to cancel @ bad weather. The centre cheerfully deferred the day into the following month where many would probably have simply kept the fee and told us "bad luck!"
Overall, it was excellent and we're already considering a longer, multi day course.
Many thanks.

An excellent Outdoor Training company.

An excellent Outdoor Training company.
I have participated in two courses and will certainly Return for more.

The facilities are brilliant, A really well kept location with excellent eating and drinking facilities. Superb class Rooms, Kit drying and showering available on site.

Breakfast is available in takeaway form as well as a 'Buffet style lunch' approach to stock you up for your course.

Instructors are knowledgeable and friendly, with good course structure, adaptation to weather and skill sets.

Attending solo is not intimidating at all, In fact I would recommend this as a way to meet other like minded folk.

The equipment for courses is rolled into the cost and is top quality good condition gear.

Their facilities such as indoor climbing wall, outdoor training rigs and pond for kayak are amazing too.

They have a good fleet of brand new vans for transportation to locations for training.

Evening seminars are also put on that are very interesting and relevant to course content.

I was extremely impressed with a slick operation and had a completely positive experience.

I feel very fortunate to have this level of service available to me nationally.

Highly recommended
