I am not happy with GlobeIn anymore.

I am not happy with GlobeIn anymore. I want to first say that I almost never receive e-mails about changes being made. And I never received e-mails reminding me it's time to pick a basket.
Picking a basket also used to be so simpler.
I always found their shop to be insanely expensive, but I expected that. I never thought they would raise the price of boxes however! I am paying to have an equal chance at all the boxes, no matter my financial situation.
My last note is that I never received any e-mails about the boxes being picked through the store now. I missed out on all of them. This is my last subscription.
Side note: For those saying it's all on Facebook, I do not have much access to my Facebook.

No longer a good deal

I initially enjoyed my globein subscription. However, over time they have made many changes (all of which seem to result in paying more for less product). Selection has declined. Logged in 15 minutes after "go live" time to find almost nothing left in store. But they charge you in advance so you are just out of luck. I won't be renewing.

The items are amazing

The items are amazing! However, shipping can be slow and the available items to pick from don't change as often as some people would like. I don't know if that is because of the shipping issues alot of companies have experienced the past couple of years. I have only been a member for one year, and I will be trying this subscription box for one more year to see if things get better. I do think the items are worth one more year.

Totally joyful

Unique, beautiful and fun!

I really enjoy choosing the unique and beautiful products featured in the subscription boxes. I love the glassware and ceramics especially. I love knowing that the items I choose come from artists who may not otherwise get a fair wage for their work. And I have something lovely to use and display or to give as a gift.

Beware, Misleading Website, You will Pay Dearly

The concept of this company seemed like a good idea, unfortunately the reality is far from good. I made a purchase on their website and ended up being charged for 4 subscriptions for almost $400, when I had no intention of even getting one. Their website is very misleading. In order to make a purchase you sign up for emails, which is normal. However, at the top of the page on their website it asks if you want to purchase a subscription to their maven program, but doesn't explain what it is, just shows you pay $96 a year. I had no interest. At the bottom of the page is an area where you input your email address, which makes it look like you are ONLY signing up for an email subscription, but when you hit the subscription button you are secretly signing up for their maven program. I made a purchase and figured that was it, until a few weeks later I got a notice saying I signed up for 4 subscriptions and was charged almost $400. Why would anyone sign up for 4 subscriptions even if they actually wanted one -which I didn't? It was ridiculous, yet they sent me an email saying they will not refund. They don't explain what you are signing up for, they don't make it clear you are not just signing up to get emails, nor do they explain how you sign up for multiple subscriptions... their website I feel is purposely misleading. And many other people agree, as I saw, unfortunately after the fact, that they have a one star rating on the Better Business Bureau because of their misleading website. Avoid this company, save yourself lots of money and hassle.

I cancelled and they continued to…

I cancelled and they continued to charge me through PayPal. Multiple emails have been sent and I have only received automated replies. I have been charged more than $1400.00 with few poor quality items. I trusted them to help artists in developing countries but this really appears to be a scam.

I thought I was finished with them-but no their shady doings have me stuck- for now

Imagine my surprise when I wake up this morning for a Subscription that was placed when I placed a one time order. NO WHERE on the site does it tell you will be automatically signed up for this. You can see my earlier review for these people on my awful experience from Christmas and how I was able to get my money back finally through the help of PayPal. I have launched another case against this shady company. Don't let them fool you. There is NO phone number to contact them directly. Everything is done through email which they can conveniently delete or ignore, and it's up to you to catch them at it. Please, please, PLEASE save yourself the heartache and anxiety and order from someone else. You would think with a company touting fair trade and taking care of others they would consider their customers in the equation. I can only hope that I get my money back.

I love their products

I have been collecting the planters

I have been collecting the planters. All are adorable and wonderful quality. I have only had one issue with my subscription, not receiving a shipment at all during pandemic when everything everywhere was questionable. I understand and my only disappointment was the one thing I truly wanted in that shipment currently is not offered. Otherwise everything I have received has been great and I look forward to my box every month!

Unique, great quality, and wonderful products!

I love the products that are offered at GlobeIn! They are a great way to support artisans around the world and to discover new and wonderful items for yourself or to gift to others. I have loved everything I have received and while when I first signed up there were some unfortunate delays (all understandable) I have always received my items or a full refund either in credits for other products on their site or onto my card.

I have been with them for 18 months or so and I am very happy I signed up and I love having little splashes of items from around the world in my home.

Great company and products

All of the products are exactly what the company says they are. Each product comes with a card with a mini bio of the artisan. Everything I have received was well made and useful. Customer service is quick to respond and refund damaged items (only happened once).

I've been very pleased with my Golbein subscription for the price, responsiveness of service and shipping time. None of my items have come in damaged and while there are repeats there is a lot of box choice selections. I'd like to see more swapped out items and options as the year subscription continues, but I like the value and usefulness of the handmade products offered.
