Helpful and quick to respond to email query. Only gripe was that my projector screen shipped from Germany and was subject of a few days delay by TNT. There was no mention that it would ship from abroad. Having had recent issues with international shipping I might have thought twice but ended up okay.

The order went smoothly, Danielle couldn't be more helpful. Graham and his colleague, who came to install the screens, worked non stop until it was done and didn't leave until I was completely satisfied with the installation. This is the second time I've used Green Monkey AV and will always use them!

Very fast delivery and product price was good value

This is a fantastic business, and not just because they offer great products.
I initially purchased a 2m manual Sapphire screen from them, which shipped pretty much the next working day.
After it arrived we realised that we could rearrange our lounge a bit more, which would've allowed us to go for a bigger screen.

Not only were they extremely forthcoming with offering refund options and organising everything involved in the pickup from our house, but they were also super fast in responding to every single mail I sent them.

In the end I went for a 2.4m electric Sapphire screen, which was shipped super fast once again, and it's all mounted now and works perfectly.

So if you're wondering whether or not to use this shop for anything, you definitely should.

This is a follow up of a partially completed review of Green Monkey AV and the Celexon Manual Professional Screen (2.4m).

The screen works well and there are a number of points I think worth mentioning.

It's a sturdy affair and due to it's length is easier to mount (in our case on a ceiling beam) with two people.

The end 'plates' which have two screw holes at each end seemed fragile to me on first inspection but once mounted in place they seem fine.

There is an accompanying note to say that if they are cracked to return the screen for a replacement, so maybe a bit of a design fault previously identified.

The top of each pair of screw holes is an upside down 'keyhole' shape so it's easy to mark, drill and attach one end first and then mark and drill the second end. Because of this feature one person could do it but a second pair of hands makes it a lot easier and safer - the screen is long and quite heavy and there are larger screens in the series.

Pulling down the retracted screen is straightforward enough and practice gets it to the right position.
The self retracting the screen is also straightforward but it's not that smooth and initially I got the feeling it was going to grind to a halt but after a couple of weeks of daily use it's OK.

There is a strong chemical smell presumably from any coatings on the screen but these have started to dissipate and we don't notice them now.

So all in all I would recommend this screen if your looking for something quite large for a home cinema.

I had issues initially caused by me mis-measuring the space I had to mount the screen. Annoyingly I was 50mm over at each end and was unable to fit the larger screen that I had ordered due to track lighting in the room without disrupting pretty well everything else. So the screen had to be returned.
Meanwhile I ordered a second which is the subject of the preceding review notes.

What I hadn't anticipated was that Green Monkey would not arrange collection of the 'unwanted' screen due to some policy of Celexon - strange but true. Obviously collection had to be at my expense as it was my fault so I had to organise this myself.

I had no idea how problematic this was going to be - a package weighing only 15kg but 3.27m in length. None of the 'regulars' would touch it but eventually I got quotes as high as £574.00 which was almost twice the costs of the screen! If you're in any doubt about this just try any courier service. I had thought of donating it to our local village hall at one stage.

Eventually I did get a courier but ended up paying after taxes and insurance about £70. The courier who shall be nameless did not have too good a reputation but after three non collections eventually it was uplifted and after about a week it was delivered.

This review would have had five stars had it not been for this 'return' experience. Green Monkey staff were on the whole friendly but I feel they could warn customers in advance of ordering what the implications of having to return a Celexon screen due to customer error or change of mind would be. They did say that they can arrange returns with some suppliers but not Celexon. Better still tough would be to change their policy and arrange collection through their regular business account and obviously charge for that service rather than have a private individual try to do it.

Top company, put my order in one day at 1500 and it was delivered 2 days later at 1000 .would recommend to anyone and will be using again if only all companies was as good as this.good prices 10/10 keep up the good work
