I know it’s a bit late for my review but on November the 8th 2022, I agreed to buy a rolex GMT master II Sprite from GMG on my discussion with them on What’s app, which was agreed for £24,000, I made an initial £20,000 at 13:20 but changed my mind and asked for my order to be canceled, which I was told; I can’t cancel your order. Sorry. By one of the owners who runs the Dubai branch now. So at 18:51 same day I had to pay the rest of the money. I wish I knew about the consumer’s law in UK before but that’s not the way to treat a paying customer.

Hi GMG Watches, you must have me mistaken for another customer as categorically everything that you have said replying to my review is completely false and has no merit. A few things to put right and debunk. Firstly, the Cartier Santos ‘full set’ watch that I purchased arrived missing the paperwork, booklets and warranty card. The watch was purchased on September 12th and arrived on September 19th - missing all the accessories to make it a full set as this was ‘in another office’. I asked for a refund straight away. You then said sorry, we have already sent the paperwork, warranty card etc to you…I took another two weeks for this to arrive on October 4th! Throughout this timeframe, I repeatedly asked for a refund which was continually ignored. As my order was an online order you cannot legally charge a restocking fee, as per UK law. However, this now makes sense in why you pressurised me to not use my credit card (told me that I couldn’t) despite opting for this as per the website option, as I could have simply disputed this through my credit card company. Asking me to pay your Directors personal bank account, as it’s part of his ‘personal collection’ should have been a red flag and I should have realised at the point something untoward was going on. I have not worn the watch as it is still in the watch box, unworn, as per the 20 plus emails that I have sent from the day it arrived, as I have been asking for a refund. This is still the case. You have ignored my last 10+ emails to management, phone calls to your office and WhatsApp messages, as I am trying to avoid having to take GMG Watches to court; which is going to be the nest step. Finally, when you agreed for me to return the watch, at first you tried to charge me an “authentication fee” and only when I pushed back and that failed, suddenly you now charge a “restocking fee” for an online order. At no point, was this ever mentioned - it’s illegal anyway nor was I sent any terms of conditions stating this. It’s your prerogative to lie on this platform, but this just strengthens my position. Finally, on no occasion have I been abusive or threatening, all I have tried to do is give back a watch in line with UK law and policy. This has all been reported to Trading Standards and now through the court systems. Best wishes.

Don’t trust them, plenty of reviews telling you the same.

Changed a deal twice, had to chase them many times. The worst grey market dealer I’ve dealt with.

I part exchanged two watches and the process worked out quite well including ongoing communication and updates. However, when I received my watch I noticed that the white hang tag was not included and that the clasp was not fully stickered although photos on the GMG website suggested otherwise. After making immediate contact I was told that photos displayed are stock photos and not actual ones of the watch. I highlighted that this has not been disclosed and that I expected to receive what has been advertised. As suggested I made contact with the director who did not have any interest in communicating with me and ended my phone call after 58 seconds! Further 3 emails including the request to return the watch referring to GMG T&C and UK law have been unanswered. Absolutely shocking experience!

Really impressed with how simple it was to pick up the watch and undertake the transaction. I dealt with Jay and Ciaran and they have both been helpful and answered all my questions. I don’t imagine I’ll do this again soon but if I do, I will come back to them. Really happy with my watch.

Completely unprofessional communication and they changed the price from one advert to the next for the same watch.
Avoid at all costs - there are some great dealers out there, no need to buy from these.
