Trying to get my Mobile Phone verified living abroad

I live in Canada, and I feel that may have affected my experience, and when reaching out to 'support' there was often radio silence - it was hard not being able to speak directly to someone, and the FAQ's were not helpful.
It came down to the wire for me being able to get my accepted booking confirmed, and found the whole thing very stressful and painful.
That being said, in the last few hours I did get a couple of prompt email replies, and turn around on the fix.

Searching for a particular Camper Van and Dealing with the owner were all great experiences.

Stay away

The price is misleading and only shows when you pay the deposit.
I cancelled straight away and they still took £125 off me absolutely disgusting

First time bookers

As this was the first time we’d thought about hiring a motor home we were a little apprehensive on where to start. GoBoony made the whole process so easy and we’re looking forward to 1st trip over Easter.

Have to say I didn't have a good…

Have to say I didn't have a good experience, the owners of the campervans either ignored my booking requests even after re submitting them or they do not keep.there availability calendar up to date which is particularly annoying as you have to wait for them to respond.

Site is showing much cheaper insurance before requesting

They asked me question but there is no way for me to reply here, so I will edit (Nice move): I am sure they I used proper mail. And I clearly showed how goboony estimate is different from what cost will be after submitting request. I don't have to agree to it ofc, but it would be nice to know it before asking owner for availability.

Site is showing much cheaper insurance before you request a car for me "goboony estimate" was 70, but when I request anything it jumped to 180 I tired with few listing. Also there is no way to know how much will be additional insurance before you make a request to campervan owner. Also I received 25 pounds travel credit from invitation but there was no way to use it, or to contact anyone to ask how to do it, no contact on website. Their TikTok account won't respond. I know that request is not bonding anyhow but o don't want to make a ton of offers to actually know how much something costs.

Any additional costs for optional insurances will indeed will be calculated afterwards, but are shown clearly before choosing to finalise your booking. First time user

First time user: to be honest I'm very impressed so far. The website was easy to navigate with lots of choice. The owner messaged me back within hours, and the rental agreement and insurance were both in place shortly after. Comms are rapid, easy to understand, with no hidden charges.

GoBoony - Use at your peril!

Hired a motor home through GoBoony. Due to various problems, GoBoony had to get involved with a dispute. In the very first instance they were helpful but very quickly their attitude changed and they became obstructive in assisting me, clearly sided very quickly with the other party despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary and did in fact lie regarding certain facts and or information.

They then refused my phone calls, emails went unanswered for days at a time and any reply I did receive was further obstructive & unhelpful in the extreme

If you wish to hire a motor home then use GoBoony at your peril!

When issues arise during a booking, Goboony acts as an independent mediator between the traveller and the owner. It is our responsibility to review the situation objectively. To do this fairly, our decisions are based strictly on the evidence provided by both parties, such as the signed GoForm (check-in and check-out forms) and any supporting photos or documentation.

We understand it is disappointing when a mediation result doesn’t meet your expectations. However, since the rental agreement is legally between the traveller and the owner, our role is to ensure the terms of that agreement are upheld based on the factual evidence presented to us by both sides. It is essential for all parties to ensure that any issues or pre-existing conditions are clearly documented at the start and end of the hire to allow for a fair assessment.

Regarding our communication, we strive to be as responsive as possible. During complex disputes, it can often take time to thoroughly review all information and evidence, which may unfortunately lead to longer wait times for a final response.
