We are a small society of 200 members - moving to a DD system - initial positive reaction to adding a few members as a trial - but when we tried to add a bulk list its a different process, sequencing as to members changes - making the advice already sent out redundant - I spoke with support on 3 occasions, and in the end had to give up and revert to adding members a few at a time, which is hugely time consuming.
The system isn't logically thought through. Had I known we wouldn't go here.
Message - Gocardless isn't easy, and it will take more time than you realise
EDIT: additional info - in our collection account items stared to appear on our statement all as GC-C1, which is hopeless if needed to apply to our sub accounts. I searched their help items - it showed 125 articles!! hopeless.
I have now sent 3 support tickets with no replies yet.
I would suggest that when they sign up new users with no previous experience, that they should consider appointing one individual who helps through the teething issues.

We almost finished our implementation for AIS and wanted to go live with our app, only to find out that they cancelled AIS as a standalone service, limiting us to only 50 connections. So we will have to find another provider and start from scratch. A lot of work down the drain. They make the rules as they go and change them without notice. Too bad because it looked promising

Useless. When the payment appears on your bank statement, there is no way of telling what it was for! The biggest issue with it is that it exposes the customer to incorrect payments, fraud and various other risks, including simply having lots of old direct debits which you're unaware of. Really horrible experience for the consumer. I would hope businesses see the poor reviews which Go Cardless get and stop using them

Terrible customer service. they make everything incredibly complicated and just send you to articles, rather than answering simple questions. Switching to Revolut as soon as I can handle the admin!

GoCardless has enabled our business to receive regular payments from our clients, which we can easily adapt depending on their individual requirements.

It's not safe to pay a business with this service. Better to use a credit card.
Former clients of mine paid my former employer using direct debit, but he defrauded them. Never shipped the orders for the products they were paying for.
They reached out to me, I told them to contact Go Crdless for a refund, since it was fraud.
They did NOTHING, didn't even say they would investigate, just said "take the business to court".

I've been using GoCardless for over 6 years now, and when I started my business, I did lots of research into the best Direct Debit provider for my clients and they came out on top. I've been using them ever since and continue to recommend them to other business owners. The fees are reasonable, the responses from the team are super quick, and the transfer window is great too. The setup for my clients to sign up is super easy and it makes my life so much easier have such an efficient system in place.
