Did a 3 nighter here recently greated by friendly staff on arrival we was able to walk around and choose a swim. Lake is very weedy however clear spots can be found. Lake is open for public to walk around and 1 night there was a few rowdy late night visitors. The toilet on site is rotten if im honest and could be kept much cleaner I understand it's a portaloo and there not the nicest things in the world but standards were low.

Great bailiffs. Great location. Great fish. Very weedy but that's made clear. Only negative was the green algea. Was like fishing in pea soup. Some Barley straw put in back in the spring may have alleviated this. However Great lake and will be going back.
Very well run venue
If you enjoy fishing in dense weed this is the ideal venue for you otherwise don’t bother.
The entire lake was weed bound. The single portaloo was to but it very mildly a total and utter disgrace. In my discussion later on the day of me leaving I tried to explain but all he said was its a gravel pit and I obviously don't have the basic skills to fish weed. He then said he will get me banned from all the lakes associated with go catch if I didn't remove the review, he told me i was red flagged by go catch. Once I had removed the review he said he had removed the ban. What I will say is, the place is beautiful the bailiff are friendly and the fish are huge.
Very nice place good tench fishing
First time there, didn't know what to expect, Les the bailiff was very helpful, I am going back end of the month
I would highly recommend
Lovely lakes Les who how runs it is very helpful and a lovely guy I enjoyed my time there 🎣🐳😊
Top quality lake with plenty of stunning fish to catch
Lake need fast inprovement of wee removal not a great experience at all
Great Lake bailiffs are good blokes and the quad makes a whole heap of difference 🤙
Brilliant venue cracking lads running it definitely on my list to visit again
Unfortunately my my 4 nights got cut cut short due to unforeseen circumstances, but Horcott is a lovely mature venue and quiet considering it’s next to the RAF base, I will be returning
Great place had plenty of fish between me and a friend will certainly be going back
Was fishing setup on a swim and an angler rocked up at 10pm and jumped into a swim next to me and another angler and wiped my rods out. It was to late to turn up and fish
Challenging fishing but a great place to fish.
Horcott lakes a great place friendly helpful staff . Shame the fish weren’t so friendly, we didn’t catch but will definitely be back . We did 48 hours but would happily have stayed another 48 . Next time we will be prepared for distance casting we were definitely under gunned . Managed to find clear spots but the fish were just outside my casting distance
The venue itself is a pleasant lake. Unfortunately they fail to tell you that there is a scout hut 10 metres from the swims and just so happened to have about 20 kids there that weekend screaming their heads off all weekend so was not enjoyable at all. Had they warned us when choosing swims we would have gone the other side of the lake
30+ anglers all arguing over who’s water is who’s. Absolute chaos
